Chandigarh, March 10- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directly interacted with the beneficiaries of PM-SVANidhi Yojana through virtual medium today.
The Chief Minister said that during the Covid phase, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi gave the slogan of Atmanirbhar Bharat and launched the PM-SVANidhi scheme.
Today this scheme has been embraced by many new entrepreneurs in the country, due to which there has been a qualitative improvement in their lives. The Prime Minister has extended this scheme till December 2024.
Expressing gratitude towards the Chief Minister, the beneficiaries stated that this scheme launched by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has turned out to be a blessing for them.
In this scheme, the beneficiary receives an amount of Rs. 10 thousand without any interest, and may assist them in beginning and growing their own business. The Haryana government has also done welfare work by providing funds for employment to the needy.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that about 55 thousand people had applied under the PM- SVANIDHI scheme in Haryana. Out of these, about 36 thousand eligible street vendors received loan assistance. A total loan of Rs. 48 crores have been disbursed so far. 7 percent interest on this loan is given by the Central Government and 2 percent interest is given by the State Government. So far, an amount of more than Rs. 1 crores has been paid to the banks as interest.
Government aims to benefit 1 lakh people under PM-SVANidhi
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the number of street vendors in the state is above 1 lakh, so the beneficiaries who have taken advantage of this scheme should encourage others to take the benefits of this scheme. The government aims to benefit 1 lakh people across the state. For this, fairs will be organized to provide loans to street vendors.
The objective of these fairs is to motivate the street vendors to grow their businesses. Under this scheme, street vendors are given a loan of Rs. 10,000 as the first installment, Rs. 20,000 is given as the second installment and Rs. 50, 000 in the third installment. The beneficiary is not required to give any guarantee for this loan.
Haryana government is running many schemes for the welfare and upliftment of poor families
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana government is also running several schemes for the welfare and upliftment of poor families. The data of the members of 72 lakh families of the state has been collected through Parivar Pehchan Patra.
Special attention is being paid to the upliftment of families whose annual income is less than Rs. 1.80 lakh. For this, the Chief Minister has launched the Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, which aims at the economic upliftment of such families. According to PPP data, there are about 7.5 lakh such families.
So far about 1.5 lakh such families have been called and 37,000 families have been provided loans through banks for self-employment. About 42,000 more families have been selected, which will be provided with loan assistance in future. The next year’s target is to enhance the income of 2 lakh such families, CM added.
He said that by expanding the scope of Ayushman Yojana, Haryana Chirayu Yojana has also been started. In this, free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh is provided annually to the poor family. With the implementation of Chirayu Yojana, 28.89 lakh families are now being covered in the state.
He said that Chirag Yojana has been started with the aim of providing equal opportunity to the children of poor families to study in recognized private schools. Under this scheme, students whose parents' annual income is up to Rs. 1.80 lakh, those eligible students are admitted in private schools from 2nd to 12th standard. Under this, Rs. 700 per month till 5th, Rs. 900 till 10th and Rs. 1100 per month till 12th are being ensured by the state government.
