Chandigarh, March 13- Haryana Chief Minister said that the Jan Samvad programme has been started to ease the lives of the citizens by ensuring quick redressal of their grievances. Jan Samvad is an initiative of the Manohar Lal-led Government to resolve the grievances of the common man on a priority basis, said Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering at Jan Samvad at Charkhi Dadri today.

During the programme, about 150 complaints were kept before the Chief Minister, which were related to Irrigation Department, Development and Panchayat, Police, Health, Urban Local Bodies, Public Health, Power etc.

The Chief Minister after listening to every complaint and resolved most of the complaints on the spot and further directed the officers on the spot to resolve the remaining complaints at the earliest.

“So far, the grievances of the people have been resolved by organizing Jan Samvad Programmes in various districts of Haryana. This is the sixth such programme in Charkhi Dadri. The State Government is committed to resolving the problems of the common people on a priority basis,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that the government aims to bring the state at the top position in the Happiness Index while moving in the direction of Ease of Living and this would be possible only when the life of the citizens would be easy. The state government is committed to resolving the problems of the common man, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

CM window started to address every single grievance of the citizens

The Chief Minister said that earlier citizens had to come to the Chandigarh headquarters to get the solutions to their problems. At that time, it was felt that a system needs to be put in place so that people do not have to make rounds to Chandigarh to get the solution to their problems.

He said that the CM window is proving to be very effective in establishing direct communication with the general public. So far, more than 13 lakh complaints have been received through the CM window, out of which more than 90 per cent have been resolved.

On this occasion, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta, MLA, Sh. Sombir Sangwan and officers of various departments remained present.
