Chandigarh, March 31: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal released the coffee table book ‘Sikh Business Leaders of India’, authored by Dr. Prabhleen at a function organized in Delhi. On the occasion, the Chief Minister invited the industrialists present in the programme to set up industries in Haryana. He said that the state government has created a conducive environment and are providing various facilities.
Addressing the industrialists, the Chief Minister said that they will not face any problem in doing business in Haryana. “The government has created a single room system, under which all types of permissions to industries are given in 45 days. The state government has made four categories A, B, C and D. If industries are set up in category C and D zones, the state government will reimburse Rs 4,000 per worker per month for the next 4 years,” he said.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Sikh community has made a huge contribution to the state, the country and the world as well. “This community is a working community and have worked hard with struggle to advance their business, family, country and society. They are also working to take forward and uplift the needy; who have been left behind from the mainstream due to some reason,” he added.
Baba Banda Singh Bahadur fought with Mughals and built capital at Lohgarh
The Chief Minister said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji entrusted the responsibility to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur to counter the atrocities committed on the people by the Mughals in North India. They fought valiantly and built their first capital at Lohgarh in this region. For the first time, the law of agricultural reform was also implemented by him.
Teachings of Gurus still relevant in the society
Sharing the story of the supreme sacrifice made by Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, the Chief Minister said that when Bhai Jaita Ji, while going to Anandpur Sahib; reached Sonipat with Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s head, at that time, in order to escape from the army of Mughals, Bhai Kushal Singh of village Badkhalsa, Sonipat, offered his head to Bhai Jaita ji; stating that his face resembles Guru ji, and his head should be handed over to the Mughal army, so that Guru’s head could be taken to Anandpur Sahib.
The Chief Minister said that this great sacrifice of Bhai Kushal Singh will always be remembered and in his memory, the state government has installed a statue of Bhai Kushal Singh at Badkhalsa and has also made a memorial. He said that the education of brotherhood, sacrifice and dedication has been received from the Gurus only and it is still relevant in the society.
Haryana government done commendable work under leadership of CM Manohar Lal: Tarlochan Singh
Appreciating the works of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and the state government, former MP, S. Tarlochan Singh said that after the formation of Haryana, maximum work has been done for Sikh history under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. He said that Sh. Manohar Lal has an important contribution in reviving the history of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
Various incomparable works done under leadership of the Chief Minister: Karmjit Singh
Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, president, Mahant Karmjit Singh said that incomparable work has been done for Sikhism and Punjabi language under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government has also created a separate foundation for Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, he added.
On the occasion, a large number of eminent personalities of Sikh community and other dignitaries were present.
