Chandigarh, April 3: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government stands with the farmers in every situation like natural calamity for all possible cooperation. The compensation for crop loss during the recent rains and hailstorms will be given by the government till the month of May after getting Girdawari done.

The Chief Minister was interacting with the people during the Jan Samvad programme at Tigrana and Dhanana villages of Bhiwani district on Monday. Earlier, while paying obeisance at Baba Paramhans Latadhari Samadhi at Tigrana, the Chief Minister wished for a happy and healthy life for the people of the state.

Farmers should adopt fish farming business in waterlogged fields

The Chief Minister said that instead of traditional farming, the farmers should adopt fish farming business in waterlogged fields and take effective steps towards economic prosperity. He said that there is an income of about Rs 2 lakh per acre per year for rearing Jhinga fish in fish farming business. In such a situation, economic benefits can be taken by making good use of the waterlogged area, he added. 

Public welfare work done with spirit of Antyodaya in 8 years

The Chief Minister said that during its 8-year tenure, the state government has done public welfare works with the spirit of Antyodaya. “Today food is being cooked with gas cylinders in every household. Uninterrupted supply of electricity has been ensured in every house in the villages and the work of providing tap water to every house has been done by the government. The benefits of the government's schemes are automatically reaching the needy through the Parivar Pehchan Patra,” he added.

Chief Minister interacts with farmers in fields

During the tour of Bhiwani district, the Chief Minister along with Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal visited the fields in Tigrana village to interact with the farmers. He also took stock of the crop loss due to rain in the farms. The Chief Minister said that the farmers must register on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal, so that they can upload information about their losses on Kshatipurti Portal and get compensation according to Girdawari.

He assured the affected farmers that the government stands with them in every situation. The Chief Minister also inspected the sub-yard for procurement of food grains located in Dhanana village.

Chief Minister meets Boxing World Champion Nitu Ghanghas

The Chief Minister visited the residence of Boxing World Champion, Nitu Ghanghas at Dhanana village and extended greetings on her achievement. The Chief Minister said that several steps are being taken to groom talents in sports, due to which the players of Haryana are bringing laurels at the world level.

Chief Minister attends funeral of Air Force soldier

The Chief Minister also attended the last rites of Mukesh, an Air Force soldier, who had come home on leave; at Swarg Ashram of Tigrana village. He expressed deep condolences and extended sympathies to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister said that the government will provide all possible help to the family and instructed the concerned officials to ensure the education of both the children of the deceased.

Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal, MLA Sh. Bishamber Balmiki, MLA Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli and OSD to Chief Minister Sh. Jawahar Yadav were also present on the occasion.
