Chandigarh, April 13- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that with the completion of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project, Palwal will have direct connectivity to Chandigarh. Union Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of HORC and the work on this project is speedily going on. Under this project, Palwal district will also get the facility of Shatabdi due to the construction of a rail line along with Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, shared Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a gathering during a Jan Samvad programme held at Aurangabad village, Palwal district today.

During this, the Chief Minister also made several pivotal announcements including sanctioning of Rs.50 lakh for the construction of two marriage palaces in Aurangabad, sanctioning of Rs.25 lakh for strengthening the village road network including Aurangabad to Manpur and Aurangabad to Digod road and setting up of e-library in the village.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also informed that the work on the roads from Aurangabad to Tikri, Gopalgarh and Banwadi will also be started after the month of April. Apart from this, the work of installing street lights will be executed by Zilla Parishad, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Sarpanches should send proposals for setting up parks-cum vyayamshalas in their villages

The Chief Minister asked the Sarpanches of various villages to send proposals for setting up parks-cum vyayamshalas in their villages. He also directed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure the utilization of unused money in the accounts of the Panchayats for the strengthening and repair of the sewerage system.

“In the year 2014, the government started the CM window. About 13 lakh complaints were received at the CM window, while the previous government always harassed the common man with their corrupt practices. Breaking this stereotype, the present state government has introduced paperless, faceless and transparent governance,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that we made the villages Lal Dora free to give ownership rights to the people in the villages under the SVAMITVA Yojana. About 4263 Ayushman cards have been made in this village and 5 beneficiaries have taken advantage of the Ayushman scheme, informed Sh. Manohar Lal.

Radical reforms brought to curb corruption

The Chief Minister informed that during the tenure of the present state government, radical reforms have been brought to curb corruption. Earlier a job seeker was forced to pay a hefty amount to get the job, but now we have not only curbed the ‘Parchi Karchi’ ‘system but also ensured that every deserving and meritorious gets the job in a fair and transparent manner, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister informed that 71 youths from Aurangabad village had got jobs on a merit basis. Meanwhile, when the Chief Minister asked the gathering if anyone has paid any money to get jobs, the crowd jointly said that during ‘Manohar Sarkar’s tenure jobs have been given on a merit basis.

MLA, Sh. Jagdish Nayar, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Jawahar Yadav, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Amit Arya and other dignitaries and senior officers also remained present on the occasion.
