Chandigarh, May 3: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the shortage of Punjabi subject teachers in the state would be fulfilled soon. For this, the teachers will have to teach some other subject along with Punjabi subject. The recruitment process will be started soon after completing the formalities in this regard, he added.

The Chief Minister took this important decision after listening to the candidates who passed Punjabi PGT and HTET during a Jan Samvad programme organized at Kurukshetra’s Karah Sahib village.

Sh. Manohar Lal gave necessary directions to the officers to resolve the grievances of the people. He said that no ineligible person will be able to take the ration of any poor person in the state and ration will be made available to the eligible person with a transparent system.

He said that Antyodaya fairs are being organized in every village under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Utthan Yojana. “Through these fairs, various departments are helping in establishing employment by giving loans and other assistance. It is the endeavour of the government that every person becomes capable and establish self-employment and instead of doing job; should be able to give job to others,” he added.

Development works worth Rs 55 lakh done in Karah village

The Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly doing all-round development of the state. He said that development works worth Rs 55 lakh have been done in Karah village. Apart from this, 48,000 ration cards have been made in Kurukshetra district and 470 ration cards have been made in Karah Sahib village. He said that employment opportunities are being provided by giving loans to self-help groups. Under the Ayushman Yojana, 900 Ayushman cards have been made in the village, out of which 69 people have availed the benefits of an amount of Rs 13.17 lakh.

Instructions given to reinstate widow of a safai karamchari

During the programme, the widow of a safai karmachari of Siana Saidan village complained before the Chief Minister that she had been working without pay for two years and was removed from the job. On the complaint of the woman, the Chief Minister ordered the BDPO to reinstate her on the same salary as she was hired in her first job.

Apart from this, a complaint was placed by the sarpanch of Ratangarh Kakrali village that a high voltage power line passes over the cowshed in the village and for its removal an estimate of Rs 1 lakh was taken from XEN, Electricity Department. The Chief Minister said that for this work, Minister of State, Sandeep Singh will provide an amount of Rs 1 lakh from his personal fund. This amount will have to be deposited in the electricity department so that the problem can be resolved.

Welcoming the Chief Minister on the occasion, Minister of State, S. Sandeep Singh said that due to the efforts of the Chief Minister, there has been an all-round development of Pehowa constituency. On the occasion, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Jawahar Yadav and other dignitaries were present.
