Chandigarh, May 9- Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today accorded approval to a proposal regarding amendment in the Haryana Mines and Geology Department Field (Group C) Service Rules, 1998. These rules may be called Haryana Mines and Geology Department Field (Group C) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2023

Notably, Chief Minister had previously approved the proposal to upgrade 22 posts of Mining Guards in FPL - 2 out of the total 117 regular posts of Mining Guards with the modification that the minimum education qualification for the posts of Senior Mining Guard shall be 12th.

After upgrading 22 posts of Mining Guard to Senior Mining Guard, now the Haryana Mines and Geology Department Field (Group C) Service Rules, 1998 have been amended for the qualifications/criteria for the post of Senior Mining Guard to fill up the same by promotion from amongst Mining Guard who have education qualification of 10 + 2 with Hindi or Sanskrit and 10 years experience as Mining Guard.
