Chandigarh, May 16 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal released the prospectus of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Dudhola, Palwal here today.
On this occasion, The Chief Minister stated that all the programmes offered by Shri Vishwakarma Skill University to make the youth skilled and employable are the need of the hour. The Chief Minister extended best wishes to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. Raj Nehru for starting job-oriented courses based on the contemporary skill sets.
Sh. Manohar Lal appreciated the strenuous efforts of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University for successfully running programmes based on the demand of the industry as per the National Education Policy 2020.
At the same time, he congratulated the University administration for the country's first Innovative Skill School achieving 100 per cent result in Class X. On this occasion, CM said that Shri Vishwakarma Skill University will play an important role in making the youth of Haryana and the country skilled.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Dr. Raj Nehru informed that the number of courses has increased to 42. Diploma and D. Voc. courses have been started even after 10th with the aim of connecting more and more students with skills.
The Vice Chancellor said that job roles and courses have been prepared according to the demands of the industry. The curriculum has also been designed accordingly.
Shri Vishwakarma Skill University takes on-the-job training as a priority so that students can work in the field along with their studies. This helps them to stay connected with the industry and also offer them opportunities to earn along with studies.
He informed that a simulator lab, solar lab and electric lab equipped with state-of-the-art technology have been set up in the new campus. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Raj Nehru said that Haryana is the land of sports and sportspersons. Keeping this in mind, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has also prepared a world class sports complex. Along with this, he informed that this year there will be many MoUs at the international level, through which the students here will be able to go abroad under the semester exchange programme. The university offers several language courses including German, Japanese and English. Many students join these courses for the purpose of employment in foreign countries.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. KM Pandurang, Registrar, Prof. R. S. Rathod and Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Jyoti Rana were present.
