Chandigarh May 28: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the new Parliament House dedicated to the nation is a wonderful convergence of our culture, ancient heritage and modern aspirations. “The new building is an amalgamation of the specialties of energy conservation, water conservation, green technology and environmental friendliness. A symbol of self-reliant India, every part of the country has contributed to the construction of this building, due to which a glimpse of development and heritage will be seen,” he added.
Sh. Manohar Lal expressed gratitude to Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for dedicating the newly built Parliament House to the nation and extended best wishes to the countrymen. He said that the new Parliament House will make India stronger, with moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and will give India a new identity in the world.
Lok Sabha Hall in new Parliament building inspired by national bird peacock and Rajya Sabha Hall by national flower lotus
The Chief Minister said that this new building will fulfill the concept of ‘Ek Bharat- Shreshtha Bharat’. “The new grand Lok Sabha Hall of the new Parliament building is inspired by the national bird peacock. Its size is almost two times bigger than the existing Lok Sabha. Similarly, the new Rajya Sabha Hall is inspired by the national flower lotus, whose size has also increased by about one-and-a-half times from the existing Rajya Sabha,” he said.
New Parliament House, a wonderful exemplar of architectural art and culture
The Chief Minister said that the new Parliament House is a wonderful example of architectural art and culture. “It will showcase the excellent cultural heritage of the entire India. Every Indian will also get to see a glimpse of the culture of their respective states in the newly constructed Parliament House,” he added.
He said that the new Parliament House has been inaugurated in the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Kaal’ and the entire nation has witnessed this important and historic moment today. “Democracy is our valuable heritage,” he added.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the structure of the new Parliament House has been prepared with the contribution of about 59,000 workers. He said that all these workers deserve a lot of appreciation; with whose hard work this building has been completed in less than two-and-a-half-years.
’Sengol’ installed in Parliament reminds of unwavering resolve of fair and equitable governance
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Sengol’ installed in the Parliament House reminds of the unwavering resolve of the Union Government for fair and equitable governance.
The new Parliament House has a huge audience gallery for the public. The state-of-the-art digital equipment gives a new dimension to the facilities of both the Houses. The proceedings of the House can be heard and read in different languages. The new Parliament House has biometric facilities for members as well as a large multimedia display for broadcasting results of voting and proceedings of the House.
New ‘smart’ Parliament building, completely paperless
In the new Parliament House, an automatic camera control and command centre has also been constructed. This smart building is completely paperless. There is a Constitution Room in the center of this building where a digital copy of the Constitution of India has also been kept. The new Parliament House also has facilities of chambers for members, libraries, dining rooms, etc.
Meanwhile, there is also an integration of the ancient arts of the country in the new Parliament House, which will witness the dawn of self-reliant India. From the point of view of security, there is a system of smart features and smart access for security and other facilities.
