Chandigarh, June 2 - Haryana School Education Board Bhiwani is gearing up for an unprecedented change in Haryana School Education. The board has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Baccalaureate to enhance the quality in education.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global leader in international education that helps students in many countries develop the skills to be inquisitive and self-confident. The collaboration will provide government school students access to the mode of teaching adopted by the teachers at international schools
Apart from the above initiatives of the Haryana School Education Board, the Chairman of the Board, Dr. V.P. Yadav met the Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal and briefed various achievements and activities.
While giving detailed information to the Chief Minister about the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Haryana School Education Board and International Baccalaureate (IB), the Board Chairman said that under this MoU, some teachers from government and non-government schools will be appointed as master trainers. They will be selected and trained. With the MoU, apart from improving the teaching-level of the teachers, the best quality education can also be given to the students. A total of 4 programs will be conducted by International Baccalaureate, these programmes will be run on pilot basis in 20 schools in the first phase. After success, it will be implemented across the entire state.
After the agreement with the International Baccalaureate, now the certificates of the Haryana School Education Board will also be signed by the Swiss Board. He further said that earlier the students of Haryana state had to face a lot of trouble at the international level for pursuing higher education. But now students of the state will be able to easily get admission in international schools and colleges, because International Baccalaureate (IB) is recognized by almost all national and international technical education councils and other organizations.
Dr. Yadav informed the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal that the Haryana School Education Board has uploaded the sample paper, curriculum document, lesson plan, marking scheme etc. on the board's website to improve the quality of education, so that the schools will get the best guidance and educational quality will improve which will enhance the results scores.
Dr. Yadav further said that under the National Education Policy-2020, the Board of Education is preparing such future plans, so that children can be given quality education using the latest technology. By ensuring the use of digital mediums in educational institutions, students will also be able to take advantage of world-class education.
He said that along with digital education, emphasis is also being laid on imparting value-based education. This will give the children the knowledge of Indian values and rich culture. Wherever children go after getting such education, they will behave according to Indian culture and become virtuous and characterful.
