Chandigarh, June 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a Jan Samvad in Kachhwa village on Sunday, said that because of the IT reforms,  pension of more than 60,000 eligible people has been automatically made. The state government has introduced such a digital system that now after attaining the age of 60 years, the eligible elderly does not have to make rounds of the government offices, as their pension automatically starts.

Sh. Manohar Lal informed that 1369 new pensions have been made in Kachhwa village itself, out of which 19 beneficiaries are getting automated pension benefits. Beside this, 553 beneficiaries of this village have availed Ayushman Bharat Chirayu cards.

He said that the state government is working to streamline processes and simplify life for the citizens. Earlier, people used to spend hours waiting in lines to get their due benefits, but today the access of every facility and service has been made simple because of the robust online system. Making people's lives prosperous is the state government's sole goal, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

During the Samvad, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to share the details about the current status of maintenance of stadiums in all the 46 villages of Karnal block within the next 15 days. Basic facilities like lights, water, toilets etc. should be repaired in all the stadiums. He directed the officers to complete the work regarding installation of lights in Kachhwa Stadium within a week.

Today money is being transferred directly into the accounts of the farmers which has not ensured transparency, but has also helped the government to make a  big saving of Rs 1500 crore by checking fake accounts. We are determined to root out corruption, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Taking cognizance of a complaint related to the sports stadium raised during the Samvad, the Chief Minister directed the Executive Engineer, Panchayati Raj and the officer of the district sports office to be present at the Chief Minister's residence in Chandigarh on Tuesday with the complete report of appropriate action taken related to the stadium.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also directed to provide sports goods worth Rs 60,000 to Meenakshi, a national level water sports player of Kachhwa village, within a week. Sh. Manohar Lal further directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to a Divyang woman and her husband.

The Chief Minister also interacted with various sarpanches who had come from different villages in Kachhwa village and also took their demands in writing and assured them of the earliest solution.
