Chandigarh, July 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today held a review meeting for the progress of two pivotal projects namely the Aravalli Safari Park Project and the Rakhigarhi Museum in Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, with the concerned officers of Forest, Tourism and other aligned departments.
During the meeting, he directed the officers concerned to complete all the formalities related to the Safari Park project which is being developed in line with the biodiversity park concept in a 10,000-acre land parcel in the Aravalli region in Gurugram and Nuh Districts.
Later while interacting with the media persons, Sh. Manohar Lal stated that 10,000 acres of land in the Aravalli area of Gurugram and Nuh districts had been identified for Jungle Safari Park. In today's meeting a wide range of key issues related to these projects were discussed in detail. The Jungle Safari Park will be developed in three phases, with the first phase expected to be completed in around two years, shared the Chief Minister.
He further shared that the state government has envisaged developing a Safari Park in line with the biodiversity park concept in a 10,000-acre land parcel in the Aravalli region in Gurugram and Nuh Districts and to accomplish this objective, 2 stage tender process has been adopted for the selection of international organisation for providing design consultancy services for Development of Aravalli Safari Park project.
“Two firms with international experience in designing and operating such facilities were shortlisted for participating in Stage-2. A detailed technical proposal and presentation along with conceptual design accessed by the tender evaluation committee and suggestion for selection of the winning firm submitted to the government for approval. The PMC will soon be selected for the development of Aravalli Safari Park,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that in this jungle safari, there is an endeavour to introduce all animals and bird species. Animals that can adapt to our climatic conditions, in addition to local species, are being examined. He stated that a lake for migratory birds, similar to Sultanpur Lake, should be developed, which has also been suggested in the meeting. This jungle safari park also serves as a centre for maintaining and protecting endangered animals, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The design of the Rakhigarhi Museum is almost final, PMC will be appointed soon
Divulging the details about the construction of a museum in Rakhigarhi, the Chief Minister said that the state government is working with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Government of India for the development of the Rakhigarhi Site Museum and Interpretation Centre.
He stated that the Archaeological Survey of India prepared a proposal for a Site Museum at Rakhigarhi and a development plan for tourism infrastructure and development within Rakhigarhi village, which is almost finalized.
“In today’s meeting, the timeline of various subjects has been fixed. The tender for appointing the PMC will be floated by July 15 and finalized by August 15. Directions have been given to all the concerned departments to work at a fast pace so that the museum can be open for the visitors by the month of December,” shared Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana may be a small state in terms of geographical area, but has the majority of archaeological sites. The remains of the Saraswati period civilization are also found at many places in Haryana. The government is leaving no stone unturned to preserve all these sites, he added.

Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that the people of Haryana now believe that the type of clean and transparent governance they are witnessing now could never have been imagined before.
“Today, every section of society believes that as soon as their requirements are identified, the government will reach to their doorsteps with a permanent and positive solution. In Jan Samvad programmes, people share their experiences as to how they are getting jobs and other welfare benefits in a transparent manner and without prejudice. The previous administration distributed employment by adopting unethical ways, but now youth are getting the same on a merit basis.
During the meeting, Foreign experts Alexander Conrad Brouwer, Gonzalo Fernandez Hoyo, Saurav Bhaik gave a detailed presentation regarding Safari Park.
