Chandigarh, July 9– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal said that the present state government always worked to protect the secular fabric. Apart from this, the government also ensured that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach the last mile citizen, said Sh. Manohar Lal while interacting with the people of Daksh Community on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prajapati Daksh Maharaj during a programme held here today.

On this occasion, he also announced Rs 21 lakh for Prajapati Samaj for the construction of Daksh Prajapati Dharamshala to be constructed on an area of 1000 square yards of land given in Panchkula. He also announced to name the Polytechnic Institute, Hisar after Daksh Prajapati. The community people present in the programme got elated to see the generosity and affection of the Chief Minister toward their community,

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the slogan 'Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek' was given to realize the spirit of Antyodaya. The government is constantly trying to make it a reality. He said that the world has to move forward by ending political casteism together.

“During the BJP’s tenure, benefits of all the public welfare schemes and services have been ensured to those at the bottom of the pyramid, while eliminating the age-old unethical parchi kharchi system.

Prajapati society progressing

The Chief Minister said that the data of 72 lakh families have been collected through the ambitious PPP scheme implemented in the state. Among them, there are 7.89 lakh members of 1,87,727 Prajapati Samaj families. Out of these, 2.51 lakh are students, which is 32 percent of the total population. It is a matter of great pride that the community in which the number of students is more than 30 percent, that community is swiftly moving towards progress, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that 27,139 people of Prajapati Samaj are unemployed, which is only 3 percent of the total population. That's why work has to be done to make them proficient. For this, camps and self-employment Melas will also be organized. There will be no shortage of funds for this from the government side, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Survey to be conducted for providing ownership rights on 200 square yards area

The Chief Minister said that in 1957, rules were made to give ownership of Panchayati land to Prajapati Samaj at the rate of Rs 600 per acre. But now the land has become useful, and for this, there is a need to make firm rules.

He said that under the SWAMITVA Yojana, ownership rights can be made available to panchayats by giving 200 square yards at the collector rate. For this, under the SWAMITVA Yojana, a survey will be conducted to get the ownership rights of owners having old possession of the plots, shared Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that a better plan is being prepared by the government, under which hostels will be given to the institutions, the cost of which will be borne by the government. In these, fees will be charged to the students according to their family income. Apart from this, grants will also be provided to the institutions for the construction of hostels, shared Sh. Manohar Lal.

On this occasion, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa expressed gratitude to Chief Minister for giving 8 percent reservation in Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipal Council and Municipality elections. Because of this, more than 500 sarpanch representatives have been elected. This is the biggest initiative of the state government. The government has taken care of every section with 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'. Apart from this, it has been decided to officially celebrate the anniversaries of great men and saints, shared Sh. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was honoured by presenting a shawl, turban, and a picture of Daksh Prajapati Maharaj. Former Minister and State President of OBC Morcha, Sh. Karan Dev Kamboj, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bharti, Chairman, Mati Kala Board, Sh. Ishwar Malwal, Mayor, Sh. Madan Singh Chauhan and eminent citizens of the community from all over the state also remained present on this occasion.
