Chandigarh, Sept 13– Haryana Government's Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana (DAYALU) has emerged as a beacon of hope and support for Antyodaya families in the state. This visionary scheme, aimed at providing socio-financial security to the most vulnerable sections of society, has demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of these families.
Today, in a heartfelt gesture, Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal provided relief to Antyodaya families who have faced the loss of a family member or the challenge of permanent disability. A total sum of Rs 12.38 crore was disbursed directly to the bank accounts of 563 beneficiaries, marking a significant step towards alleviating their financial burdens. He said that prior to this, an amount of Rs. 6 crore had been directly transferred into the accounts of 233 beneficiaries of this scheme.
Addressing a press conference here today, the Chief Minister elaborated that the DAYALU scheme offers financial assistance to families with an annual income of up to Rs 1.80 lakh or in cases of a 70 percent or greater disability of a family member. Haryana Family Protection Trust is the implementing body for this initiative. On this occasion, Mines and Geology Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta were present.
He further explained that the DAYALU scheme provides different benefits based on age groups, offering Rs 1 lakh for ages 6 to 12 years, Rs 2 lakh for ages above 12 and upto 18 years, Rs 3 lakh for ages above 18 and upto 25 years, Rs 5 lakh for ages above 25 and upto 45 years, and Rs 3 lakh for ages above 45 and upto 60. This benefit also encompasses the amount received under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) for individuals in the age group of 18 to 40 years.

TVSN Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing for All Department, Sh. Raja Shekhar Vundru, Additional Chief Secretary, Mines and Geology Department, Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Chief Administrator, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Director, Consolidation of Land Holdings and Land Records, Ms. Amna Tasneem and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
