Chandigarh, October 10- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a Jan Samvad at the Ch. Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar today said that a budget allocation of Rs.151 crores has been made for the removal of all the high-tension wires passing over the houses of the citizens in the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister shared that necessary directions have already been given to the Energy department to resolve the issue of electricity lines passing over houses. He directed the department officers to strictly ensure that no construction is done under these electricity lines in the future.
The Chief Minister also observed a two-minute silence to pay tribute to the citizens who lost their lives in the accident in Uttarakhand. Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta also remained present on this occasion.
During the Samavd, Sh. Manohar Lal provided assistive devices to Persons with disabilities (PwDs) sponsored by the Red Cross. He also inspected stalls featuring products made by women's self-help groups to promote local products.
Old age pension will soon be increased to Rs. 3000, CM
The Chief Minister stated that Haryana is the state that provides the highest pension to senior citizens. The pension for senior citizens will soon be increased to Rs. 3000, he said. The Chief Minister said that senior citizens do not have to go through the hassle of applying for a pension when they turn 60; pensions are automatically generated through the PPP. During the Samavd, the Chief Minister also distributed pension certificates to 22 individuals on the spot.
ACB to check Ration Depots having Irregularities, CM
During the Samvad, differently-abled citizens presented complaints about irregularities in some ration depots in the district. The Chief Minister ordered the Anti-Corruption Bureau to investigate complaints related to fake ration cards and other ration-related issues.
Announcement of Road Construction in Hisar
The Chief Minister announced the construction of two roads in Hisar. These include the construction of the Khanak-Balsamand Road at a cost of Rs. 37 crores and the construction of the Hisar-Balsamand Road at a cost of Rs. 8 crores. He said that tenders for 14 roads costing Rs. 26 crores had already been floated, and work on these roads would commence soon.
Health Benefits to the Citizens through Ayushman Yojana
The Chief Minister stated that the Ayushman Yojana is proving beneficial for the health of the people. Under this scheme, people are provided with free medical treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh. In the Hisar constituency, 77,566 Ayushman cards have been issued, and 868 cardholders have availed Rs. 2.74 crore for medical treatment. He further shared that a sum of Rs. 75 crores has been provided as financial aid under the DAYALU Yojana.
On this occasion, Member of Parliament, Dr. DP Vats, Mayor, Sh. Gautam Sardana and other senior officers also remained present.
