Chandigarh, November 1: The celebration of Haryana Day was marked by a cultural evening at the Haryana Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh today, graced by the presence of Haryana Governor, Mr. Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal.
Both the Governor and Chief Minister extended their heartfelt congratulations to the people of Haryana, emphasizing the day's significance as a source of pride for the state. They encouraged all to contribute towards Haryana's progress and the nation's development.
The cultural extravaganza featured artists from the North Zone Cultural Centre in Patiala, showcased a vibrant array of folk dances, including traditional Haryanvi, Punjabi, and Ladakhi dances. Additionally, captivating performances of the Badhaai dance from Madhya Pradesh and the Panni dance from Chhattisgarh were showcased, leaving the audience enthralled.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Mr. J P Dalal, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker, Mr. Ranbir Gangwa, Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Mr. TVSN Prasad, former Minister Ram Bilas Sharma and other senior officers of Army, Police, and various other departments also graced the occasion.
