Chandigarh, November 7 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the present state government is implementing schemes for the welfare of the poor and needy.
“We have started giving benefits of schemes to the last mile citizens so that they can come into the mainstream and can live a prosperous life. The government has simplified the lives of the poor and needy by providing them with timely assistance. Now they are proudly saying that they too are an integral part of the society and no undeserving can snatch away their rights,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while holding a key meeting with eminent citizens of Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad districts at his residence Sant Kabir Kutir here today.
The Chief Minister said that eminent citizens have a significant place in the society. They are like a bridge between the government and the public; hence they should make the public aware of the welfare schemes run by the government so that more and more eligible people can take advantage of them.
“As soon as we took over the government, the first thing we did was to bring e-governance in governant system, thereby making every process online. Due to this, all the work started getting done quickly and also brought transparency, which made the life of the public easier. Earlier people had to visit government offices and take the help of middlemen for small tasks, but our government changed all these systems and implemented an online system,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The government aims to increase the happiness index of Haryana
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the present state government has worked to take the state forward from the point of view of development.
“Following the slogan of Haryana Ek – Haryanvi Ek, we have ensured uniform development of every assembly constituency. There has been significant improvement in the Ease of Doing Business ranking and the pace of industries in the state has increased. Now we prioritize taking the state at the top position in terms of ease of living index for its citizens so that the life of the people of the state can become economically strong as well as happy,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Calling upon the eminent citizens, the Chief Minister said that they should ensure their participation in making people aware to make the schemes and services of the Haryana Government accessible to the common people.
