Chandigarh, Jan 10 - President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Surajkund Handicraft Fair on February 2, 2024. Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal visited Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday to extend a personal invitation to the President for the Surajkund Handicraft Fair-2024, which she has graciously accepted. The fair is scheduled to take place from February 2 to February 18.
Following the meeting with the President, Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal while interacting with media representatives, said that the President has agreed to inaugurate the Surajkund Fair. The Chief Minister said that President's participation would further strengthen the efforts of the state government.

Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal will participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit scheduled to take place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He shared that the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is a biennial event in Gujarat, initiated by Sh Narendra Modi during his tenure as the Chief Minister of the state. The summit attracts investors from both India and abroad, bringing together professionals from diverse fields for discussions. He highlighted the multitude of programs organized during the summit and added that discussions will encompass topics such as establishing connections between Haryana and African countries, exploring contributions from individuals in various sectors, including education and technology. In addition, there will be deliberations on how Haryana can play a supportive role in the agriculture sector of African nations.
Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal said that the country has been eagerly awaiting the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya for centuries, and now the moment has finally arrived as the temple is fully prepared. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ for Ramlala is scheduled to take place on January 22. He said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi will personally grace the inauguration of this magnificent temple. The current atmosphere mirrors the jubilation that prevailed when Lord Shri Ramchandra returned to Ayodhya after triumphing over Lanka centuries ago. Similar to Diwali, the nation is expected to be immersed in a celebratory spirit on January 22, the day of Ramlala's ‘Pran Pratishtha’. The Chief Minister extended congratulations to everyone on this momentous occasion.
Highlighting the collaborative effort involved, the Chief Minister emphasized that this is a social program with various organizations actively engaged in door-to-door activities. He also announced that a special train from Haryana to Ayodhya will be operational on February 9. Under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana, some individuals will have the opportunity to travel for free, while others not covered by this scheme, provided their income exceeds the specified limit, can participate by paying the fare.
