  • Chandigarh, June 18 - The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today announced that 150 training programmes in skill development would be launched soon in the state. He was speaking after felicitated 15 skilled youth selected under the World Skills Competition: India Skills West 2018’ at Haryana Bhawan,  in New Delhi today.
  • Mr Manohar Lal congratulated all winners selected under the competition, wished them a bright future and said that all should be facilitated to develop their skills.
  • Speaking on this occasion, the Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training, Employment, Mr T.C. Gupta, said in the India skill West Competition, Haryana bagged maximum positions after Maharashtra for participation in the World Skill Competition to be held in Kazan, Russia.
  • The youth who secured first position in the “World Skills Competition: India Skills West 2018’ are:  Manoj Kumar (electronics), Sonu Lathar (auto body repair), Ritesh Yadav (web designing and development), Roshan (carpentry), Vinod (plumbing), Prince Kumar (cooking) and Jagat Yadav (restaurant services).
  • The runners-up included Amar (carpentry), Rohit Yadav (mechatronics), Manish Kumar (mechatronics), Deepak Gupta (refrigeration), Rahul Jangra (refrigeration), Mukul Chhikara (restaurant services), Rohit Gaider (Cooking) and Kartavya (Painting and Decoration). 
  • Chandigarh, June 18- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a scheme for providing monthly financial assistance of Rs 8000 to female acid attack victims of the state.
  • While stating this here today, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the women and girl acid attack victim would also be given preference in the allotment of fair price shop by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in case she apply for the same after having recovered.
  • He said that the financial assistance would be given to the female acid attack victims who would come within the definition of disability under section 2(i) of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights of Full Participation) Act, 1995.
  • Chandigarh, June 18- Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki and Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will be the Chief Guests at functions to be organized in Panchkula and Jhajjar respectively to mark the 4th International Yoga Day on June 21, 2018.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the State Government has decided to celebrate the International Yoga Day in a befitting manner across the State.
  • He said that while Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma would be the Chief Guest at a function to be organized at Gurugram, Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij would be the Chief Guest at Ambala, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh at Rewari, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain at Sonepat, Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Panwar at Yamunanagar, Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr Vipul Goel at Faridabad, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr Manish Kumar Grover at Kurukshetra and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar at Panipat.
  • He said that similarly, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj would be the Chief Guest at Karnal, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Dr Banwari Lal at Kaithal, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Nayab Singh Saini at Nuh, Member of Parliament, Mr Ramesh Kaushik at Palwal, Member of Parliament, Mr Dharamveer at Bhiwani, Member of Parliament, Mr Rattan Lal Kataria at Rohtak, State BJP President, Mr Subhash Barala at Jind, MLA Mr O.P.
