- Chandigarh, April 29 –Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is all praise for the laurels brought to the State and the country by Haryana’s talented sports women in the recent Commonwealth Games.
- As the Prime Minister addressed the nation through his popular “Mann Ki Baat programme” today, he specifically mentioned the performance of Haryana’s wrestlers, boxers and shooters, especially females and described them as a source of inspiration for the youth.
- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal who listened to the Maan Ki Baat of the Prime Minister with rapt attention along with a large number of people at village Babail in district Panipat said that the State government would engage youth of engineering colleges under Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Project. A scheme for pond development and water conservation would be got prepared through Haryana Pond Development Authority under this project, he added.
- Haryana Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar and MLAs namely Mr. Mahipal Dhanda and Mrs. Rohita Rewri were also present on the occasion.
- After listening to the Mann Ki Baat Programme, the Chief Minister interacted with the villagers to know their opinion on various issues and sought their suggestions to resolve their problems.He said that the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship initiative of the Prime Minister would provide direction to the youth in the country and they would get training through skill development and other schemes.
- Prime Minister’s Maan Ki Baat has always got tremendous response from the people in the State.
- Chandigarh, April 29–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has said that the state government is making concerted efforts for the uplift of women in the state and after the bajra is procured, they would be engaged for making laddus, panjiri and other products.
- Addressing the villagers after listening to the ‘Mann Ki Baat Progamme’ in the village of Babail in Panipat district, today, he urged the entrepreneurs of Panipat to provide suitable jobs to women in their industries and empower them.
- He said the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, had given the slogan of ‘Earn While Learn’ under which the state government would engage students of engineering colleges for the repair of ponds and they would be paid according to their capacities. The UPSC recently declared the result of civil services examination in which the second rank has been bagged by a daughter of Sonipat.
- Referring to the Good News India of the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said the good news from Haryana was that the state had become kerosene-free and each household now had an LPG connection.
- He urged the people to listen to the Mann Ki Baat Programme of the Prime Minister on radio at 11 a.m. on last Sunday of every month because Mr. Modi sought to give a new direction to the country. Since the Prime Minister talks about youth, poor and each section of the society, everyone should listen to this programme carefully, he added.
- Chandigarh, April 29–As many as 401 vyayamshalas would be inaugurated in Haryana on a single day on May 5, 2018. These have been built over two acres each to promote sports activities.
- This was disclosed by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, while addressing villagers after listening to ‘Mann Ki Baat Progamme’ with the residents of Babail village in Panipat district, today. He announced the decision to give Rs 2 crore for the construction of a shed after levelling the rough land in Babail Mandi and for other development works.
- Referring to the Mann Ki Baat Programme of the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, Mr Manohar Lal said India had won 66 medals in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games. It is a matter of pride for every Haryanvi that 22 of these medals were won by the sportspersons from Haryana. Fifteen-year-old Anish Bhanwala also won gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.
- It was due Haryana’s contribution to the medals tally in the Commonwealth Games that India ranked third in terms of medals. If Haryana was a separate country it would have been at 6th rank in terms of medals. “We want to promote sports in big way in the state so that India ranks number one in the medals tally”, he added.
- Referring to the Fit India Programme, Mr Manohar Lal said the country should be fit and as a result of the efforts made by the Prime Minister, the entire world now celebrates June 21 as International Yoga Day. In this series, the Haryana Government has decided to open sports nurseries where children between 6 and 15 years of age would be trained according to their interests.
- The Chief Minister said the state government had undertaken various developmental works in Babail. It had got constructed two Anganwadi centres and a bridge on the river near Panipat-Babail road at a cost of Rs 15 crore. The second bridge would be got constructed at a cost of Rs 16 crore. Construction of three connecting roads would be done through the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department instead of the Market Committee.
- The Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, and MLAs Mr Mahipal Dhanda and Mrs. Rohita Rewri, were also present on this occasion.
