  • Chandigarh, April 3- Haryana Government has taken several effective steps towards the development of youth as an educated and skilled workforce and aims to provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth through industrial development.
  • With the setting up of institutes of higher education in the State, the pace of research and development in the field of industries would be further accelerated, said Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal while addressing a well attended gathering after he alongwith Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Dr Satya Pal Singh inaugurated the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi Technopark Sonipat Campus in Sonipat today. The Technopark has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 175 crore.
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that with the inauguration of this campus, the academic and outreach programmes would be further expanded. As 57 per cent area of the state falls under national capital region, the pace of industrial development has been accelerated in the State. He assured all support and cooperation to the Central Government in setting up of educational institutes in the state.
  • He said that the State Government has taken several steps for the development of youth as educated and skilled work force. On the pattern of Prandhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna, Haryana Skill Development Mission has been set up. Apart from this, Vishwakarma Skill Development University is being set up in Palwal. He said that a technical centre of Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises has been established in polytechnic institute, Neemka in Faridabad. Also, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is being set up in Panchkula, he added.
  • The Chief Minister said that a number of educational institutes of national level have come up in the State. While, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is being set up in village Kilorad, district Sonipat, the construction work of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Rohtak is in progress. He said that for the time being, the classes  of IIM are being conducted in Maharshi Dayanand University,  Rohtak but from  the academic session 2018-19, the classes  would be started in its newly constructed building. He said that the construction work of building of National Institute of Design (NID) in Umri, Kurukshetra is underway and the classes would be started from academic session 2018-19. He said that an additional extension campus is being set up by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi in village Badhsa, district Jhajjar for research and development activities.
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that with the setting up of Technopark in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, in Sonipat, the faculty members of technical education institutes and engineering colleges in the State would get world class training facilities.
  •  Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Dr Satya Pal Singh said that Haryana Government has made available 50 acres of land to IIT, Delhi for the Technopark, which has been set up at a cost of Rs 175 crore.  A sum of Rs 100 crore would be spent on its development, he added.
  • Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma said that during the tenure of present State Government, unprecedented development has been taken place in the field of education.
  • Chandigarh, April 3- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various development projects, to the tune of about Rs 23.05 crore in Sonipat.
  • The Chief Minister today laid foundation stone of three development projects at the cost of Rs 14.82 crore at Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai. He also inaugurated two 33 KV sub-stations constructed at the total cost of Rs 8.23 crore.
  • The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of Primary Health Center, Mohana at the cost of Rs2.68 crore and Primary Health Center, Jakhauli at the cost of Rs 3.60 crore. He also laid the foundation stone of four-laning of road from Gohana Bypass drain to No. 8  Old National Highway-71 at the cost of about Rs 8.54 crore.   Construction of four-way highway -71A in Gohana will be completed by April, 2019. The construction work of four laning of NH-71A in Gohana would be completed by April, 2019.
  • The Chief Minister also inaugurated the 33 KV sub-station in village Sersa at the cost of Rs 4.04 crore to benefit people of  six villages namely, Sersa, Khatkad, Jati Kalan, Jati Khurd, Dahisra and Gadhi Kundli and 33 KV sub-station in village Nahra at the cost of Rs 4.19 crore to benefit the people of six villages namely, Nahra, Katlupur, Halalpur, Majra, Chhatera, and Kheri.

  • The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul might rest in peace. The Information, Public Relations and Languages Minister Mrs Kavita Jain and Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr Amit Arya also expressed condolences over the demise of Mr Dhani Ram Bharti.
  • Chandigarh, April 3- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has invited all the sarpanches who are protesting against e-Panchayat, for a dialogue, on April 4 at 2 pm in Panchayat Bhawan here. All their problems would be heard and redressed.
