  • Chandigarh, March 13–The Haryana Government has recommended CBI probe into the irregularities committed during the Congress regime in cases of land acquisition in Rohtak and Sonipat districts. The injustice done to the farmers will be revealed by the investigation.
  • This was stated by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, during zero hour of the Budget session of the Vidhan Sabha here, today.
  • Coming down heavily on the Opposition, he said these leaders had no right to talk about the plight of farmers. They themselves had acquired the lands of farmers just to benefit some builders. Inka Aisa Koi Saga Nahi, Jinko Congress ne Thaga Nahi. (There is no one the Congress has not cheated).
  • The Chief Minister said the state government had already handed over to the CBI investigations into three cases of re-allotment of a plot to Associated Journals Limited (AJL) in Panchkula, Industrial plot allotment by Haryana Sahri Vikas Pradhikaran in Panchkula, and the Manesar land case.
  • The Supreme Court has, in its verdict, set aside the land acquisition process executed by the previous Congress Government in Manesar. It had threatened innocent farmers and extended huge benefits to real estate developers and builders in the name of land acquisition during their rule, he said.
  • The court has termed such activities as mala fide exercise of powers and a clear case of misuse of power. Apart from this, the apex court has also ordered to investigate the role of middle men in land acquisition. Now everything would be revealed during the investigation, he added.
  • He said the apex court had also ordered that decision on the Dhingra Commission, set up to probe grant of land licences to some companies, be announced within two months so that pending issues could be cracked.
  •  Responding to the charge-sheet handed over by the INLD over the irregularities committed during the Congress regime, the Chief Minister said it contained 290 pages and action was being taken on every issue after proper investigation. “We do not take action against any one in the spirit of revenge or out of political malice. All acts and decisions are taken only after investigation,” he added.
  • Chandigarh, Mar 13 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that under the Ujala Scheme, 1,45,96,421 LED bulbs, 44,102 fans and 1,76,133 tubes have been distributed till January 2018.
  • The Chief Minister was replying to a question regarding Ujala Scheme in the ongoing budget session of Vidhan Sabha, here today.
  • He said that power discoms were purchasing these items from M/s Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture company of National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd., Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation to promote energy efficient devices. M/s EESL procures these items through competitive bidding from various manufacturers.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal said that the work to construct 33 K.V substation at village Sangatpura, Jind Assembly Constituency, has been allotted to the contractor on December 18, 2017 and the execution is likely to start in March 2018. Regarding the PAT transformers, he said that PAT transformers have already been installed on 1,345 agriculture feeders in the state and the remaining feeders are to be covered during 2018-19.
  • The Chief Minister said that Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon scheme was being implemented for the reduction of line losses and enhanced supply or power in rural areas in the state. Under the scheme, consumers are allowed to deposit the old arrears in five instalments alongwith current bills. The consumers are incentivised by way of increase in supply hours up to 24 hours after the defaulting amounts of the feeder reach provided level of recovery.
  • The present state government has supplied canal water to the arid and water starving areas of 213 villages in districts Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Hisar, Ambala and Kaithal, and covering 18 assembly constituencies.
  • Chandigarh March 13: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has given his approval for the creation of six new police stations in district Jhajjar for further strengthening the law and order situation and effectively deal with crime in the district.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that initially these new police stations have been sanctioned for a period of five years during which, the staff would be provided from the existing strength of district police.
  • He said that these police stations included Police Station Machhroli, Police Station City Jhajjar, Police Station Asauda, Police Station Dujana, Police Station Sector-6 Bahadurgarh and Police Station Badli. He said that these new police stations in district Jhajjar assumes special significance owing to the growing urbanization and its proximity to Delhi and Gurugram. Besides, it would also help in ensuring widespread patrolling and to hold special nakabandi at strategic or selected points, he added.
  • Chandigarh, March 13 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that Director General, Vigilance will investigate the corruption   charges going viral on social media involving the son of Chairman, Haryana Staff Selection Commission and others. The State Vigilance Bureau would complete its investigation within one month and strict action would be taken against those found guilty.
