- Chandigarh, Mar 12 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the matter of giving benefit of reservation in jobs under outsourcing policy to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, is under consideration with the State Government.
- The Chief Minister was replying to a question during the ongoing budget session of Vidhan Sabha, here today.
- He said that the matter has been raised on his initiative that if reservation was available in recruitment for regular posts then why not under outsourcing policy. He said that till now, be it the INLD Government from 1999-2004 or Congress Government till 2014, no Government had the courage to extend benefit of reservation to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes under the outsourcing policy. He said that there are 51 departments in the government and each department engage employees under outsourcing policy as per its requirement and every year changes are made in it.
- Mr. Manohar Lal assured the House that the Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha has asked the Chief Secretary office to submit details of employees engaged under outsourcing policy from April 1, 2014 to January 31, 2018, within one week.
- Chandigarh March 12: Committed to promote girl’s education in the State and ensure that they need not to travel far to get quality education, the Haryana Government has decided to grant Change of Land Use (CLU) permission for the setting up of DAV Women University in the revenue estate of village Panjeto, Mukarampur, Chaneta and Mundakhera in tehsil Chhachhrauli, district Yamunanagar. The University would come up over an area measuring 56.79 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 193.04 crore. Interestingly, the request for grant of CLU made by DAV managing Committee had earlier been rejected by the state Government in March 2013.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard. He said that located in the vicinity of the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhari, the University would primarily cater to the needs of about five lakh populations residing in the twin cities.
- He said that the applicant would have to submit an amount of over Rs 1.37 crores on account of conversion charges at the rate of Rs 60 per square meter besides submitting an undertaking that the External Development Charges (EDC) would be paid as and when site comes within urbanizable limit. The applicant would also submit an undertaking not to raise any construction on the land falling within proposed road widening and 45 meter wide green belt proposed along NH-907 and also not object acquisition of the same in near future. An undertaking would also be submitted by the applicant not to raise any construction in Right of Way (ROW) of High Tension (HT) lines passing through the site, he added.
