  • Chandigarh, Feb 5 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that everyone has a right to present his views in a democratic set up but no one will be allowed to disturb peace and law and order situation in the state.
  • He was responding to a query of media persons regarding proposed protest by Yashpal Malik group regarding reservation issue during his visit at Rohat chowk in Sonipat today. He said that all their demands were accepted and issue regarding withdrawal of cases is concerned with the Court.
  • When his attention was drawn towards former Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s statement that cases against him were filed under conspiracy, the Chief Minister referred to a Bhagwad Gita shaloka and added that ‘Jo Karega, So Bharega’ (As you sow so shall you reap).
  • In reply to another question, he said that land acquisition has been started for widening of National Highway-334 B.
  • The Chief Minister today inspected the road on riverbed near Rohat chowk, the site of accident happened recently. He directed the concerned authorities to make the bridge constructed on Rohat Chowk in a straight line. He asked them to prepare a blue print of the road keeping in view all technical aspects for safety of people. He said that road safety is a very big and serious issue for the present state government.
  • The Chief Minister said that direction have also been issued for repair of road. In order to protect Kharkhoda village coming on this route, instructions have been given to make a divider on the road so as to provide security to the villagers from entry of trucks running on this route. This will prevent entry of trucks in villages. Apart from this, Rs two crore have been sanctioned for repair of canal route and work would be started very soon.
  • Paying rich tributes to the brave martyrs of the State who were killed in Pakistan firing, he said that their last rites would be performed with full state honour.

  • Chandigarh, Feb 5 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that a new ambitious Rs 400 crore ‘Haryana 100 Project’ will be implemented in the state by November 2018 which will ensure the arrival of police party on crime scene in any part of the state within 15 minutes. This would be enabled through 600 new police vehicles conducting 24X7 patrolling to provide immediate and prompt assistance at the place of incident.
  • Mr Manohar Lal who was addressing the police personnel of 84th batch in Police Training Centre, Sunaria in district Rohtak, said that the project would be directly crewed and manned by highly trained professional personnel at the police control room being set up at Panchkula.
  • While describing police as the face of the government, the Chief Minister said that their conduct with the public depicts the behaviour and working style of the government. He exhorted them to discharge their duties honestly and efficiently so as to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere in the society and the country. He said that it should be the aim of the police to ensure punishment to the accused so that people live without fear. The criminals should be filled with a sense of fear that they cannot escape punishment at any cost, he added.
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that 6000 to 8000 police personnel would be recruited every year in the State to fill the backlog of posts in the police department. He said that during the tenure of the present state government, the percentage of women serving in police has increased from six to 10, which would further be increased to 30 per cent. With this significant increase in the number of women in the police force, the crime against women would be considerably reduced. Effective steps are being taken to keep a check and control crime especially against women. ‘Mitr Kakshs’ are being run by the police to make direct dialogue feasible between police and the public.
  • He said that the present state government has so far carried out three recruitment drives in the state in which more than 6000 police personnel have been recruited. All the recruitments were made in a fair and transparent manner. At present, recruitment of 1,474 police personnel is also being conducted in a similar fashion. He said that despite the minimum qualification of 10+2 required to serve in police; over half of the police personnel are those who possess higher qualifications. The State Government has ensured recruitment only on merit basis and completely disbanded the system of using money in the recruitment. He said that similarly, the police personnel by taking a cue from this practice should also serve the society with upmost honesty, dedication and without any fear.
  • Earlier, speaking on this occasion, Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu said that the process for the recruitment of Constables, Women Constables, Sub Inspectors and Deputy Superintendents of Police in the police department would start from this very month. He said that the department has made available adequate number of vehicles, weapons and good quality anti-riots equipments to the police personnel for bringing more efficiency in their working.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 5–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has said that with a view to benefiting the farmers in the state, ‘Gobardhan Yojana’ has been launched to provide for the sale of organic manure and cow urine.
  • Mr Manohar Lal was addressing villagers at ‘Kisan Samman Samaroh’ organised in Nizampur village of Sonipat district today where he distributed cheques of ‘Fasal Bima Yojana’ to farmers.
  • Appreciating the Union Budget, the Chief Minister said it met the expectations, hopes and aspirations of the people. The Gobardhan Yojana would help in doubling the income of farmers and next time, MSP would be given with additional benefit of 50 per cent more than the cost of production.
  • Lashing out at the Opposition, he said the previous government kept talking about implementing the Swaminathan Commission report, but never did so. It is the present government which has done it. Loans at affordable rates are being provided to the farmers and four per cent rate of interest was being borne by the state government. Today, the opposition parties have no issue to rake up, he added.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal said during the tenure of previous governments, farmers used to get cheques for Rs 2 in case of damage caused to their crops, but today cheques for up to Rs 5.5 lakh are being given to farmers. This has become possible due to the farmer-friendly policies pursued by the BJP Government, he added.
  • Farmers and agriculture top the list of priorities of the state government. Crop Cluster Development Program has been started at a cost of Rs 570 crore to promote horticulture. As many as 1,940 clusters have been started under this programme where production of single crop is being promoted.
  • The Chief Minister said now the loss of farmers would be borne by the state government but the profit would remain with them. Earlier, sometimes farmers used to get more than their expenditure and sometimes not. Keeping this in view, the state government has launched ‘Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana’ under which minimum prices of onion, potato and tomato have been fixed. The Central Government has also launched operation green scheme.
  • Pond Authority has been set up for the development of ponds under which all ponds would be developed so that their water could be utilised for irrigation purposes. He announced Rs 2 crore to resolve the pond and drinking water problems of village Nizampur, and gave the assurance that the demands of other villages would be fulfilled after checking their feasibility.
  • When the Chief Minister asked women present about the benefit of the Ujawala Scheme, they replied that they had not yet received LPG cylinders. He directed the deputy commissioner to provide cylinders to all such women within 48 hours.
  • The Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, said both   Central and state governments were working for the development of women. Even after 70 years of Independence, farmers are still poor and needy. Schemes such as 'Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana' have worked to change the situation in favour of farmers.
  • Targeting the opposition, Mrs Jain said the previous government paid scant attention to the development of women as the government was busy in property dealing. She administered the oath to save the girl child to all present.
  • Others present included Chairperson, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Mrs. Krishna Gahlot, District BJP President, Dr. Dharamvir Nandal, and other dignitaries.
  • Chandigarh, February 5– Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today ordered disciplinary action against Estate Manager, Karnal for showing negligence in redressing a complaint received on CM Window.
  • A meeting presided over by the Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr Rakesh Gupta was held with the nodal officers regarding complaints received on CM Window. The disciplinary action has been ordered against the Estate Manager for delayed implementation of orders against a complaint received from Jagdeep Singh of Karnal regarding an old matter of illegal transfers of plot-shed in Udyog Kunj Karnal.
  • It may be mentioned here that CM Window had been initiated to redress the complaints of people at the earliest and save them from repeated visits to the offices. Those who delay in redressing the complaints are strictly dealt with.
  • The complaints related to departments of Cooperation, Development and Panchayats, HUDA, School Education and Urban Local Bodies Departments, Home Department-1 and 2 and Haryana State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation were taken up in the meeting.
