- Chandigarh, July 25 – All in efficient lights in government buildings in Haryana would be replaced with LED lights by August 15, 2018 which would not only save electricity but would also provide bright light.
- The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal gave these directions to all Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners in the state, through video conferencing, here today.
- He directed the Deputy Commissioners that they could purchase LED lights from the Power Department or through Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL). Apart from this, concerned department can also purchase LED lights through GeM Portal. In this regard, all Deputy Commissioners would have to submit report , he added.
- Regarding the Rahgiri Progamme being organised at different districts, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the programme is being organised with enthusiasm in some districts where Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police have been participating actively. Appreciating the Rahgiri Programme organised at district Karnal and Gurugram, he said that 11 programmes each have already been organised in both districts. Apart from this, 20,000 people participated in four districts. He directed the officers to promote Rahgiri Programme in districts Faridabad, Rewari, Yamunanagar and Nuh.
- While issuing directions to the Deputy Commissioners, he said that Rahgiri Organising Committee should be constituted for organising this programme which would organise this programme in city twice a month. He also directed the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to depute one officer to encourage people to participate and give suggestions for this programme.
- Chandigarh, July 25—Electricity consumers in Haryana can look forward to relief in the shape of cut in the rates, in the near future. The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has hinted that the state government would soon reduce the rates of electricity as Power Utilities have emerged out of losses and have entered the profit list this year.
- While replying to a question, he said, “We have asked the citizens who are quite responsible to pay their bills. The people have realized that if they do not pay electricity bills the state would suffer loss which would be in fact their loss. Resultantly, 2,250 villages where people have paid bills are being provided 24-hour power supply, which is a record achievement,” he added.
- The Chief Minister said under the previous governments, waving off electricity bills constituted only part of politics of votes. Due to which, the power utilizes went under debt. With our continuous efforts and support of people, both power nigams are in profit. The present government has implemented Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon under which various villages are being supplied 24-hour power supply.
- “We have set a trend, which no other government did. The Prime Minsiter, Mr Narendra Modi, has announced 50 per cent profit on MSP of crops of farmers which has set a new trend”, Mr Manohar Lal said.
- The Kundli Manesar Palwal (KMP) Expressway was supposed to have been completed by 2009. When we took over the reins, we first began work on it by seeking permission from the Supreme Court of India, and today, it is nearing completion. It is the biggest achievement of the state government”.
- Work on 32 railway overbridges or railway underbridges (RoBs or RuBs) has been completed and work on 31 (RoBs or RuBs) is in progress. In less than four years, we have constructed 63 RoBs or RuBs, whereas in the last 47 years, 64 RoBs or RuBs had been constructed, the Chief Minister added.
- Chandigarh, July 25: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved the reformation of Municipal Corporation Sonipat on the demand of some of the villagers to be excluded from the limits of the Corporation.
- Giving details, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain said that during the reformation of Municipal Council as Municipal Corporation some of the villages were included in the jurisdiction of Corporation. Some of the villagers demanded through the Corporation Protesting Committee to come out of the limits of the Corporation. In view of this, a committee was constituted under the Chairmanship of Commissioner Rohtak with members including representatives of the departments of Urban Local Bodies, Directorate Development and Panchayat, Commissioner Sonipat, District Town Planner and Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sonipat to submit a report in this regard.
- She said that on the basis of the report of the Committee, villages Murshidpur, Mukimpur, Dipalpur, Khevda, Harsana Khurd, Harsana Kalan, Nasirpur Bangar have been excluded from the limits of Municipal Corporation, while Murthal, Nangal Khurd, Kumaspur, Kishora, Joshi Chauhan, Bahaalgarh , Asavarpur and partial area of the Bainyapur and some of the parts of Badhkhalsa, Kakroi, Mahlana, Bhigwan, Hasanpur, Ibrahimpur Kuraad villages had been included under Municipal Corporation Sonepat.
- She said that after issuing the notification of the new formation, the draft development plans would be prepared accordingly so as to provide better facilities to the people residing in these villages.
- Chandigarh, July 25: Haryana Government has constituted an Inter District Council under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal which would act as continuous discussion forum for evolving a shared vision of developmental priorities of the State.
- Giving details an official spokesperson of the Planning department said that Finance Minister, Development and Panchayat Minister, Urban Local Bodies Minister, All presidents of Zila Parishads, Mayors of Municipal Corporations and all Presidents of Municipal Councils or Committees at District Headquarters would be its permanent members.
- He said that the non-permanent members Council would include one Chairperson of Panchayat Samiti from each district and one President of non-district headquarter Municipal Committee or Municipal Council from each district. Both of them would be selected on rotation basis for every meeting by arranging the names of samitis or Municipal committees or council in alphabetic order. One Sarpanch to represent Panchayats from each district would be nominated by the Deputy Commissioner concerned. Similarly, Director, Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management (SJHIFM) would be its member Secretary, he added.
- He further said that the Inter District Council would be responsible for preparation of credible Distinct Specific Action plans, assessment of development needs of and delegation of powers to Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), reviewing the progress of various flagship programs of government of India and State Government from time to time.
- Chandigarh, July 25 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has announced that a massive recruitment drive would soon be carried out in the state under which 7000 police constables, 450 Sub Inspectors and 38,000 Group D employees would be recruited. Similarly, 700 to 800 Gram Sachivs would also be recruited soon.
- The Chief Minister made this announcement in a function at Zirakpur. He said that recruitment of 24,000 posts had been carried out and work for the recruitment of 22,000 posts was in pipeline. He said that in the history of Haryana, HPSC had for the first time made a record recruitment of 1900 posts in a year, which was unheard of in any previous regimes. He said that the recruitment was made purely on the basis of merit.
- He said that at present, there were about 2200 Gram Sachivs posts. The State Government was considering appointing one Gram Sachiv for every two villages.
- He said that Investors’ Summit was organised for generation of large scale employment in the state. He said that a unique scheme namely Saksham Yojana had been initiated, under which graduate and post graduate unemployed youth gets Rs 9000 per month in lieu of 100 hours of work so that they could make themselves capable of other competitions or self employment. So far, under Saksham Yojana, 42,000 youth had been given jobs.
- Chandigarh, July 25–Extending a major relief to about 50,000 residents of Trikha Colony, Bhatia Colony, Raghubir Colony and Shiv Colony in Faridabad which had been deprived of basic facilities for the last 25 years, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has approved a proposal to de-notify the lands which had been acquired by the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran.
- Stating this here today, an official spokesman said the government had imposed Section 4 for acquiring land in the villages of Sihi and Uchagaon for Sector 2 and 3 in Faridabad in 1987, but it was cancelled after some time. Thereafter, notice was issued for imposing Section 4 again in 1992, but till then the farmers had plotted their lands and sold to people.
- Due to delay in the process, by the time compensation was decided, people had started residing in the houses constructed on the land which was to be acquired. As Section 4 was imposed for acquiring land, development of this area through Municipal Corporation was not possible.
- State Convener, Cooperative Cell, Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Hukam Singh Bhati, along with 152 persons, raised their voice through separate cases in the court to ensure development of this area. The Union Minister, Mr. Krishan Pal Gurjar, Haryana Industries Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel, MLAs, Mr. Moolchand Sharma and Mrs. Seema Trikha, had also discussed this matter with the Chief Minister to find a solution to this issue.
- Public representatives have expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Minister for this decision stating that it would provide all basic facilities to people residing in these colonies.
- Chandigarh, July 25--Such non-BPL and non-SECC families as do not have gas connections in Haryana but are entitled to gas subsidy, may be helped by the state government in getting loans from banks concerned to get the connection. The state government would soon initiate this process for arranging bank loans, and by October 2, 2018, all families will have gas connections in the state.
- This decision was taken at a meeting presided over by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, with deputy commissioners and divisional commissioners through video-conferencing, here today.
- The loan for gas connection would be paid from the subsidy coming in the bank accounts of such consumers. Under the Ujwala Scheme, consumers belonging to BPL and SECC category are provided gas connections in the state free of cost.
- The Chief Minister directed the officers to launch a campaign at village level for releasing gas connections. Door to door survey would be made to find eligible consumers for this purpose.
- Regarding installation of ‘Vikas Pat’ in the villages, the Chief Minister said every village should have ‘Vikas Pat’. Besides, if there is any distinguished person in the village, his glory may be inscribed on this pat. The Vikas Pat would have details about the village along with the development works done there.
- If any village wants to install the statue of a distinguished person along with Vikas Pat, it would set a good tradition and would also be a centre of attraction, he added.
- Regarding the Paudhagiri Campaign, the Chief Minister said that all the students from class 6th to 12th would plant a sapling in their vicinity. Every school would have a nodal officer for this campaign which may be any teacher of that school. He said the student who would plant the sapling would also get himself clicked with that plant and would submit that photo to the concerned teacher for record purpose. After six months again the same student would get himself clicked with that plant. The districts would send their report to the concerned Deputy Commissioners about works done under this Paudhagiri Campaign. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to encourage the students of their districts for planting the sapling in the premises of their home.
- The Chief Minister directed the concerned officers to expedite the works carried out under Shivdham Yojna. He also directed to speed up the work of expansion of Antodya Seva Kendras in other districts of the State by October 2.
