- Chandigarh, July 26- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has ordered to suspend, HCS Officer, Reagan Kumar, after the departmental inquiry into Utkarsh case.

- Chandigarh, July 26—The Haryana Government has decided to give ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh under the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Accident Assistance Scheme, to the family in case the deceased is between 18 and 70 years of age, and he dies in an accident.
- This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi, while addressing a press conference, here today.
- During the reign of the previous government, the scheme was functional in the name of Rajiv Gandhi Parivar Bima Yojna. Then, the benefit was given only in case the deceased was between 18 and 60 years of age, was head of the family, and fell in BPL category. But, on the initiative of the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, decision has been taken to remove these conditions and increase the age limit to 70 years.
- Under the scheme, assistance of Rs 1 lakh would be given, provided the deceased is not a beneficiary of any such Central Government scheme, Mr Bedi added.
- Chandigarh, July 26 –The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family of Rakbar Khan alias Akbar Khan, a resident of village Kaul, Ferozepur Jhirka, district Nuh, who fell a victim to mob lynching in Alwar, Rajasthan, on mere suspicion of cow smuggling.
- Haryana Waqf Board chairman, Mr. Raheesha Khan, has also announced financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh to his family. Thus, a total of Rs 8 lakh would be provided as financial assistance by the government. Rakbar Khan is survived by his four daughters and three sons.
- Chandigarh, July 26--Taking cognizance of corruption cases, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has directed the Police Department to register an FIR and investigate embezzlement of subsidy amounting to Rs 17 crore in the Agriculture Department.
- He has also ordered suspension of woman veterinary doctor for allegedly tempering with government documents and causing lose to the state exchequer.
- The Chief Minister ordered action against negligent officers and officials after the Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, who presided over a review meeting of nodal officers of various departments regarding complaints received on CM Window, here today, handed over report of the meeting to the Chief Minister.
- Mr Manohar Lal took serious note of embezzlement of Rs 17 crore subsidy in the Agriculture Department which was meant for a fountain set and underground pipeline for the farmers. It is alleged that officers of the Agriculture Department forged thumb impressions of farmers and embezzled government subsidy.
- He also directed to lodge an FIR against those involved in a case of misappropriation in the Horticulture Department. The complaint alleges that by making fake cluster of Horticulture Department in Baliyali village of Bhiwani district, money was drawn fraudulently. Dr Gupta has asked the Mission Director to come on August 3 to clarify the matter, and, has also sought details of the expenditure on subsidy schemes of Central and State Government for the last three years within a week period.
- The Chief Minister has also directed suspension of Dr Ritu, veterinary doctor posted in Sonipat, for allegedly going on foreign visits without permission and drawing money from the state exchequer by tempering with government documents.
- Dr Gupta ordered complete investigation within 30 days into the matter involving an officer of Social Justice and Empowerment Department for missing records.
