- Chandigarh January 11: Haryana Government has selected the sites for the setting up of Multi Modal Transit Centres (MMTC) at Gurugram, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh and Kundli.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr Mamohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
- He said that sites which have been selected in Gurugram included Kher ki Daula near the proposed metro station, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station and bus stand adjoining the junction of CPR and NH, on land of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) acquired in transport and communication zone. Similarly, the second site of MMTC would be near Panchagaon Chowk adjoining the proposed metro station and RRTS station where the panchayat land is available.
- He said that the site in Faridabad included site near Ballabhgarh Metro Station, Bus Stand and Railway Station on the land of Transport Department. In Bahadurgarh, the site for MMTC included existing bus stand adjoining metro station with the stipulation that existing bus stand would continue to be used as intra city bus stand.
- The spokesman said that in Kundli, the site would be between RRTS stations of Rajiv Gandhi Education City (RGEC) and Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) interachange on the acquired land of HSIIDC.
- Chandigarh, Jan 11 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal would be the chief guest in Youth Day Function to be organised on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti at Government Postgraduate College, Sector 1, Panchkula on January 12, 2018.
- While stating this today, Chairman, Haryana Housing Board, Mr. Jawahar Yadav said that the main aim to organise this function was to hold a direct dialogue with youth.
- He said that students of engineering, sports, graduation, BDS, B.Com and other fields would participate in this function. Earlier also the Chief Minister had held directed interaction with the youth through ‘Connect to CM’ programme in Kurukshetra.
