  • Chandigarh, August 4- Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Mandir, Gurugram will be given a new look with large scale renovation of the temple premises. While preparing for the new look of temple, study has been conducted on famous pilgrimage places of the country like Tirupati Balaji temple and Shirdi temple regarding arrangements for the convenience of devotees. Every aspect related to the faith of the people would be precisely taken care of in the new look.
  • This was disclosed in the 10th meeting of Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board which was presided over by the Chief Minister and Chairman, Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, Mr Manohar Lal in Gurugram today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the website of Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Mandir which could be visited at  www.sheetlamatagurgram.com.
  • It was decided in the meeting that now, the Government  would bear the construction expenses of  the medical college in Gurugram as Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board  would be incurring expenses on the renovation of temple premises.
  • During the meeting, discussions were held on seven important topics and renovation of  Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Mandir was prominent. A power point presentation was given by M/s Rcohum Consultancy Pvt Ltd to give new look to the temple.    The seven acres land of  Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Mandir and four acres of Mela ground across the road would be joined together. A new design of Mandir Bhawan has been prepared keeping in view the arrival of large number of devotees in fairs organised during Chaitr, Baisakh and Asadh season.
  • It was informed that the new design would have the sitting capacity of 1,000 persons, a big auditorium, underground parking  for devotees, meditation room, dispensary, hall, rain water harvesting system and lightening system through solar panels, holding area, shoe depositing area, mundn hall, parikrama raastaalong with many modern amenities.
  • The Chief Minister directed to maintain every aspect related to the faith of people in renovation work.  Before giving the final look to the temple, they should hold meeting with the priests of temple and religious institutions so that the temple’s basic fundamental structure should not be tempered at all, he added.
  • In view of high cost of renovation, it was unanimously decided that the Board would not be able to give 20 per cent  financial assistance in the construction of medical college in Gurugram as there  was about Rs 50 crore available with the temple which would be  used for the  renovation of the temple. The state government would  bear the construction expenses of  the medical college in Gurugram.
  • Besides, reviewing of proceeding of previous meeting, the proposal for the appointment of Chief Executive Officers was approved. At present, HCS officials are appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Board. As the Board was capable to appoint Chief Executive Officer, therefore this proposal was placed in the meeting today. Apart from this, consensus was also reached on the approval of the balance sheet of 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17, to increase the financial powers of the Chief Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, and to set up  Information department and engineering wing in the temple premises.

  • Chandigarh, August 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today inspected the city bus service  which will be started  by Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) in Gurugram from August 15, 2018. As many as 200 buses will start plying at several routes in Gurugram in the first phase.
  • The Chief Minister, who was in Gurugram today, inspected the bus to be operated under this city bus service. The bus was stationed in Shri Mata Sheetla Devi temple premises of Gurugram, where the Chief Minister visited to preside over the meeting of Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board. He also paid obeisance at the temple.
  • The Chief Minister said that in the first phase, 200 buses would be run in Gurugram and this service would start from August 15. He said that new buses of City Bus Service would be started in Gurugram from Independence Day on a route, which would begin from Hooda City Center Metro Station to Subhash Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Basai Chowk, Railway Station, Shri Mata Sheetla Temple Road, Atul Kataria  Chowk and  to HUDA City Center.  He said that buses would ply in an interval of  ten minutes. Similarly, every month GMDA will add a new route to the city bus service.
  • The Chief Minister  was apprised by  Chief Executive Officer, GMDA Mr  V Umashankar that the facility of cashless ticketing would be made available to the people travelling  in the City Bus Service and for this, digital solutions would be provided by HDFC Bank. According to the plan, from August 15 to August 31, 25 buses will be operated under Gurugram City Bus Service. A bus would have the seating capacity of 37 persons besides standing capacity of 37 persons. All these buses would be non- air conditioned.
  • Chandigarh, August 4- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will lay the foundation stone of building of community centre in Ward-2 and sports stadium on August 5  before addressing the gathering in Kapas Kisan Dhanyavad Rally to be held at  Barwala, Hisar,  tomorrow.  The Finance Minister, Capt Abhimanyu, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar,  several other ministers and a large number of  leaders will also be present in the rally. 
  • While giving this information, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Mr Ashok Kumar Meena said that the Chief Minister would lay the foundation stone of sport stadium to be constructed on nine acres land at the cost of Rs one crore and building of Community centre to be constructed over three acres of land at the cost of Rs 3.5 crore.
  • Chandigarh, August 4- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar  Lal today announced that fare meter would be installed on auto rickshawa running in the state to prevent any fraud with passengers. He also announced that now, intkal would also be  done along with the registry of plot or house and for the purchase of land by government departments also, the responsibility of getting intkal  would rest with government departments.
  • The Chief Minister was  redressing the grievances of the people in the meeting of District Grievances Committee in Gurugram today. Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh was also present in the meeting.
  • In complaints received regarding higher fare in autos, he directed the officers to send a proposal to Transport Department for the installation of fare meters on auto rickshaws so that passengers do not face any problem. He said that all registered auto rickshaws running in the state would be installed with fare meters.
  • The Chief Minister said that the capacity of ferrying passengers should also be taken care of, as many a times auto rickshaw drivers ferry more than its actual capacity. He directed to impound the auto rickshaw of those drivers who are running it without registration number and in case the driver is less than 18 years of age. It was informed in the meeting that last year, 3,68,467 challans were issued, in which 2,577 autos were also impounded.
  • He directed the officers that now, intkal would also be done along with the registry of plot or house to prevent any fraud. Apart from this, if any land is acquired than the responsibility of registry of intkal would be of the concerned department for not issuing  it and in case of  any fraud in future.   He also clarified that if registry of any land is done wrongly or lack of related documents, then the concerned Tehsildar would be responsible and no negligence should be exercised in such cases.
  • The Chief Minister also ordered to suspend the concerned Xen of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board in complaint regarding use of substandard material for the road constructed last year in September and October from Basatpur to Kapdiwas and Chandu to Gadi Gopalpur. The roads were inspected by the Technical Advisor of the Chief Minister, Senior Engineer (Quality Control) and Xen(Quality Control) in which deficiencies were found  in gradation of materials. In this regard, for the next three years the defect guarantee of all the roads would be of the concerned contractor and in addition to 5 per cent bank guarantee of the total cost, 50 per cent per land cost of these contractors are also secured with the department and in lieu of deficiencies in gradation, Rs 4.70 lakh have been recovered from the concerned contractor.
  • In a complaint regarding illegal sale of land in village Chaima and construction of houses, the Chief Minister assured the complainant that encroached land would be released and action would be taken if anybody found involved in it. On the matter, the Chief Minister, ordered to constitute a three member Committee headed by Director, Urban Local Bodies department which would take decision in the matter and send its report. He also directed the officers to return the cheque of Rs 10 lakh of the complainant.
  • In another complaint regarding development of colony by illegally earmarking the plots, the Chief Minister was informed that the structures were demolished twice.  The list of such villages where there is possibility of development of illegal colonies have been sent to Director of the department with a request to get them notified under Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975, section 7A. After this, NOC would be required in such villages for registry also. To this, the Chief Minister said that in future under the notification of 7 A, the registry should only be done after taking NOC.
  • In another complaint, he directed the officers to accompany the complainant and inspect the Maharana Pratap Swarna Jayanti Park, sector-29 for maintenance issues. He also directed officers to hold a meeting with Street Vendors Committee within a week and take decisions in view of suggestions. The Chief Minister ordered for vigilance inquiry in a case related to giving of community site for some other purpose than for the  use of residents of Palm Vihar colony.
  • The Chief Minister also announced that if any old man or woman, married or unmarried claims to be senior citizen but do have supporting documents then his or her age would be certified by Medical Board.
  • During the meeting, 24 grievances were heard, out of which and maximum were resolved
