- Chandigarh, August 15: On the occasion of Independence Day today, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal announced to provide Class-II (Group B) government job to the dependents of martyrs. These jobs would be provided on the basis of their educational qualification. At present, the dependents of martyrs were given only class III and IV (Group C and D) government jobs. The Chief Minister also announced a slew of incentives for the people of the State which included rolling out the Ayushman Bharat- Haryana Health Protection Scheme in the State, 24 hour power supply to additional 507 villages and constitution of Rohnat Freedom Trust to work on different projects to uproot the problem of malnutrition, disease and unemployment in village Rohnat of Bhiwani district.
- Speaking after unfurling the national flag on the occasion of 72ndIndependence Day at Hisar, he also announced that from now onward, the government employees would not be require No Objection Certification (NOC) from the Head of the Department (HOD) for applying to the higher posts in other departments as the process is time consuming. Taking a decision in the interest of employees, it has been decided that now they would have to just give information to the HOD while applying in other departments.
- He also announced that from October 2, each household in the State would have a LPG connection. He announced that all social security pensions would be increased from Rs 1800 to Rs 2000 per month with effect fromNovember 1, 2018. These pensions include old age allowance, widow pension and pension to physically disabled person.
- The Chief Minister said that on pilot basis, the Ayushman Bharat- Haryana Health Protection Scheme is being implemented in 25 hospitals of the State including one main government hospital each in all 22 districts, ESI Hospital Faridabad, Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) Rohtak and Kalpana Chawla Medical College, Karnal. Under this scheme, 15.50 lakh eligible families would get free medical treatment facilities of upto Rs five lakh. The members of the families covered under the scheme would get free treatment facility in any of these 25 hospitals from today onwards, he added.
- While referring to the Mahra Gaon Jagmag Gaon Scheme, he said that from today onward, 507 additional villages in the State would start getting 24 hour electricity supply. These included eight villages of Hisar, 17 of Bhiwani, 44 of Kurukshetra, nine of Kaithal, 46 of Yamunanagar, 47 of Karnal, one of Fatehabad, three of Palwal, 83 of Mahendergarh and 249 of Rewari. With this, the number of villages getting 24 hour power supply has been raised to 2887 from 2380. All villages of Panchkula, Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts are already getting 24 hour power supply.
- He said that the present State Government is committed for the welfare of freedom fighters and their dependents and ex-servicemen and serving soldiers. Government jobs have so far been provided to the 221 dependents of martyrs in various government departments. Apart from this, government jobs have also been provided to the dependents of martyrs of upto 1971 war. In those families which did not have son, jobs have been given to their daughters and adopted son. Contrary to this, earlier only two dependent families were provided government job. He said that till now, government jobs in Group C and D were provided to the dependent of martyrs But now, they would also get Group B jobs on the basis of their educational qualifications.
- The Chief Minister said that during his visit to village Rohnat in Bhiwani district on March 23, 2018, he had announced to setup Freedom Trust to get rid of various problems faced by people. He said Rohnat Freedom Trust has been constituted today on the occasion of Independence Day and it would start working soon.
- He said that we have abolished the system of nepotism and regionalism in the government job prevailing in previous regimes in the State and now jobs are being given purely on merit basis which has infused a sense of enthusiasm among the youth. Their faith in the recruitment process has been strengthen, he said adding that in the history of Haryana, the present State Government has provided maximum number of jobs to the youth. Significantly, rural youth got more than 60 per cent of total jobs, he added. He said that 30,000 posts of Group D in different departments would soon be filled up. There would be no interview for Group D posts to ensure that only meritorious candidates get the government jobs.
- While describing Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal as the lifeline of Haryana, the Chief Minister said that in the next hearing of this case, the people of the State would get good news. He lamented that few people are trying to misguide the people on this issue just to gain political mileage. On the other hand, the present State Government strongly pleaded the Presidential Reference which was lying pending in the Supreme Court for more than a decade. We have ensured regular hearing on Presidential Reference, as a result, the Supreme Court gave decision in favour of Haryana. We are committed to get Haryana’s legitimate share of Ravi-Beas water, he strongly asserted.
- The Chief Minister hailed the announcement of the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi for huge increase in the Minimum Support Price of 14 Kharif crops and said that this unprecedented increase ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 1800 per quintal is a historical step towards doubling the farmers’ income by 2022. With this, the farmers in the State would be benefited to the tune of Rs 1500 crore.
- He said that the present State Government has implemented various schemes for making available water to every field, optimum utilization of every single drop of water and improving the irrigation system in the State. During the last three years, water has reached to even those channels of south Haryana where it has not reached in last 30 to 40 years. Expressing concern over the declining level of underground water, he said that 38 such blocks have been identified where micro irrigation scheme has been implemented.
- Reiterating the commitment of his government for ensuring the safety and security of women in the State, he said that only one women police station was setup in the State in the last 48 years, whereas in tenure of 45 months, the present State government has setup 29 women police stations. Apart from this, Durga Shakti App has been launched for women security and Durga Rapid Action Force has been constituted. Under this, 50 Durga Vahini Vehicles have been made available in all districts.
- He said that to root out the problem of malnutrition, the State Government has taken the initiative of food fortification. In the first phase, fortified flour is being distributed in two blocks of Ambala district. Apart from this, the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families are being distributed one kilogram sugar and two liter mustard oil per month per family.
- The Chief Minister said that the Uniform development has been ensured in all 22 districts and 90 assembly constituencies without any discrimination. The State Government is working with the spirit of Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek.& The present State Government has adopted Zero Tolerance Policy against corruption and have been successful in keeping a check on the irregularities committed through middlemen. As per the 11th report of survey conducted by Centre for Media Studies, Corruption in Haryana has been reduced upto 31 per cent, he added.
- On this occasion, he also cautioned the people to remain vigilant from the divisive forces which are trying to divide the people on caste lines and said that the present State Government would not allow such forces to fulfill their ulterior motives.
- The Chief Minister conveyed his best wishes to the sportsperson of the country especially of Haryana participating in the 18th Asian Games scheduled to be held in Indonesia from August 18& and hoped that the players would win maximum medals and bring laurels to the State and the Country. Latest sports infrastructure is being developed at village level, he added.
- Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected the parade and took salute from the marching contingent of police, home guard and National Cadet Corps.
- On this occasion, he also honoured war widows of the district by presenting them shawls.
- He also honoured 160 sportspersons for their outstanding performance at national and international events and gave away award money of over Rs 2.39 crore to them.
- Chandigarh, August 15 The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal announced construction of a road form village Tepla, the native village of martyr Lance Naik VikramjitSingh to Saha in district Ambala which will be named after him. He directed the Deputy Commissioner to get the estimates of expenditure prepared so that the road is constructed soon. The Chief Minister also assured Shaheed Vikramjit Singh’s family that his wife, Harpreet Kaur, would be given government job according to her educational qualification.
- The Chief Minister today visited village Tepla to express condolences to the family of Shaheed Lance Naik Vikramjit Singh. He paid floral tributes to the martyr. Expressing his condolences to martyr's father Baljinder Singh, mother Kamlesh Kaur and brother Monu Singh, the Chief Minister said that not only Haryana but the entire country is proud of Lance Naik Vikramjit Singh. He said that Shaheed Vikramjeet Singh’s martyrdom would continue to inspire the future generations.
- On this occasion Finance Minister, Captain Abhimanyu, MLA Mrs Santosh Chauhan Sarwan MLA Aseem Goyal, BJP State President, Subhash Barala, and senior officers of the district were also present.
- Chandigarh August 15: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today dedicated the State’s first Civil Airport at Hisar to the people of the State and said that it would open the possibilities of creating an economic corridor and vibrant industrial ecosystem especially in south and west Haryana. He said that a high speed train would soon be started from Hisar to Delhi to improve connectivity to the International Airport at New Delhi.
- Mr Manohar Lal was addressing a press conference after inaugurating the Hisar Airport, Integrated Aviation Hub, Phase-1 at Hisar today. Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu and BJP State President Mr Subhash Barala were also present on this occasion
- On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed between the State Government and Spice Jet Limited who has shown keen interest for assistance in development of Phase-II and III of the Integrated Aviation Hub. While Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation Mr Devender Singh signed on behalf of the State Government, Chief Managing Director, Mr Ajay Singh signed on behalf of Spice Jet.
- The Integrated Aviation Hub is being developed over 4200 acres of land. The Civil Aviation Department has 600 acres of land and with the transfer of 3600 acres by Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department today; the Civil Aviation Department would be officially the owner of 4200 acres of land which sets the stage for Phase II and III planning and development. Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Mr Sunil Gulati handed over necessary documents in this regard to Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation Mr Devender Singh in the presence of Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that in case of requirement of additional land for this project, the State Government could freeze the available land of other departments as per the requirement.
- The Chief Minister said that this project was conceived years ago but the earlier government in the State made only tall and hollow claims. However, the present State Government removed all the hurdles in the implementation of the project through proper coordination between Civil Aviation Departments of Centre and State. With the inauguration of the first phase of the project today, all facilities required for flying an aeroplane have been made available at the airport, he added.
- He said that the State Government also plans to develop a cargo terminal, aero–space, defence university, defence MRO and Aviation University in the second phase of the project. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the same is expected to be completed within the next 18 months.
- The Chief Minster said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has implemented a new scheme UDAN to make flying affordable to the common man. He said that under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-UDAN, airline namely M/s Pinnacle Airways Limited has bid for two routes that is Delhi-Hisar and Hisar-Chandigarh. Six flights a week have been planned on both routes. A nominal fair of about Rs 1450 per passenger would be charged for these routes. The airline is in the process of obtaining requisite approval from Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and is expected to commence operation from mid-October this year
- He said that in view of the exponential growth in the civil aviation sector and the locational advantage to the National Capital Region (NCR), the State Government also plans to extend the existing airstrips in four other aerodromes namely Pinjore, Karnal, Bhiwani and Narnaul to 5000 feet to create facilities for activities like flying training organizations, adventure sports and parking of aircraft.
- He said that the State Government has a plan to develop the Airport at Hisar as an International Airport owing to the increasing pressure on International Airport at New Delhi. He said that after the Heathrow Airport of London, the Airport at Delhi is the busiest Airport and the Hisar Airport could serve as its best alternative in the country .We will soon complete all necessary requirement of an International Airport, he added.
- In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said that the State Government intends to invite Non Schedule Operator Permit (NSOP) Holders to operate on mutually acceptable routes from Hisar Civil Airport, for which the State Government would provide attractive incentives and expects commercial operations to begin very shortly. The State Government is in advanced talks with Himachal Pradesh Government for tie up for flights from Hisar to Shimla, Kullu and Dharamshala.
- Earlier, speaking on this occasion, Chief Managing Director, Spice Jet, Mr Ajay Singh said that the airport at Hisar would give further boost the development in the State. While terming the step of the State Government to develop an Airport at Hisar as historical, he said that this Airport would serve as an alternative to the International Airport at Delhi in the times to come.
- Chandigarh, August 15 : On the occasion of 72nd Independence Day, functions were organised across Haryana to mark the day. Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal unfurled the national flag at Hisar and announced numerous incentives for the people of the State.
- Similarly, Health and Sports Minister, Mr Anil Vij hoisted the flag at Charkhi Dadri and in his address said that starting from today Ayushman Bharat Scheme has been rolled out in all the districts of the State on Pilot Project basis and it will benefit about 15.50 lakh families of the state. He also announced a grant of Rs. 21 lakh for the Janta college War memorial stadium.
- Likewise Independence Day was celebrated in Gurugram with the spirit of patriotism and district level function was organized in Chaudhary Surendra Singh Memorial Cricket Pavilion at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector-38, Gururgram, where the Urban Local Bodies and Women and Child Development Minister, Ms Kavita Jain hoisted the national flag.
- On this Day Ms Kavita Jain remembered all known and unknown martyrs of the country and paid homage to them at the war memorial built in District Council Complex of Gurugram. She said that the State Government has increased the amount of financial assistance given to the families of martyrs from Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh and so far families of 221 martyrs have been given jobs. She said that the Old Age Samman Allowance will be increased to Rs. 2000 from the upcoming Haryana Day onNovember 1.
- Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr& Krishan Kumar Bedi hoisted the flag on 72nd Independence Day at District Level function held at Arya College, Panipat and after inspecting the parade gave commendation to the family members of freedom fighters, war heroes and distinguished persons for their significant contribution in various fields.
- The Minister of State for Public Health and Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal unfurled the National flag at Sonipat and honored the people who have done outstanding work in their respective fields at a district level Independence Day function in Sonipat.
