  • Chandigarh, August 28– The Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, has issued directions to the Principal Accountant General and officers of the Finance Department to organise pension courts in all district headquarters in September to resolve their problems. They were also told to make maximum pension related work online for the convenience of pensioners in the state.
  • The minister was presiding over a meeting to address the problems faced by pensioners with Principal Accountant General, Mr Vishal Bansal, senior officers of the Finance Department and officials of several banks, here today.
  • Capt. Abhimanyu said there were over two lakh pensioners in the state and often they faced problems in getting their pension. Government employees who have worked for government in their service years, should not face problems in getting pension after retirement.
  • He directed the banks and related government departments to make special arrangements for pensioners who are elderly and who are not physically fit to draw their pension from bank and still have to make rounds of offices for the completion of paperwork.
  • If need be, officials of banks or government should go to their home and get the paperwork completed. He directed officials of banks that the pension of elderly should be distributed at their home and said that all facilities should be made available for pensioners under one roof and the related work done online.
  • "The present Haryana Government is in the forefront  in ensuring all facilities to its employees and also takes care of the needs of people of the state. The state government is not only the first to implement recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission but has also decided to give the benefit of pension according to the pay commission”, Capt Abhimanyu added.
