- Chandigarh, September 10 : Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that 222 shopkeepers have been raided in the State including Jhajjar, who were selling Chinese salt. This salt can not be given to the children below the age of 12 years.
- Replying to a question, Mr Vij said that generally this salt which is known as Monosodium Glutamate and is not banned under Goods Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Act. Thus as per Food Safety Regulations with proper labelling and level, it can be mixed in Chinese Food like Noodles, Pasta etc.
- On a satirical note on Congress Mr Vij said that Rahul Gandhi is more inclined towards China which is why the Congress MLAs are asking more questions relating to China only. Mr Vij said that the Government is serious on this issue and taking appropriate steps so that the people should not face any problem.
