  • Chandigarh, 11 September- While describing employees as the backbone of the Government and the administration, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that during the last about four years, the present state government has taken several decisions  in the interest of the employees. He said that with the consent of former chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Leader of Opposition Mr. Abhay Singh Chautala, Former Advocate General Mr. Hawa Singh Hooda and Leaders of Employees Unions, a special petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on September 06, 2018 against the High court decision regarding regularizing the services of contractual employees.

  • Describing public interest as supreme, he said that he would continue taking decisions for the welfare of people. He said that all the allowances of employees except the house rent allowance has been increased. For the first time a provision of special allowance has been made for the Divyang Women employees. He said that the state government has given the benefit of seventh pay commission to its employees. Not only this, the daily wages employees have been given the benefit of 14.29 percent increase as per the recommendation of seventh pay commission. He said that the anganwaadi helpers and employees have been included in the category of skilled, semi-skilled. A part from this, annual payment of Rs. 161 crore is made by the state government on account of salary of Asha workers. This amount is in addition of the salary given by the center government.
  • While referring to the strike by the employees of Haryana roadways, he said that such strikes would not be tolerated by the government. He said that the state government is committed to provide better transportation facilities to its citizen.
