  • Chandigarh, Sept 27 – Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that during its tenure of about four years, the present State Government not removed any guest teacher out of  22,000 guest teachers and instead increased their salaries. The 14,000 JBT teachers selected during the tenure of previous government were also given appointment by the present State Government.
  • Mr. Sharma disclosed this in a function held here today. 
  •  The present State Government has set new records in the field of education. As many as 44 new government colleges were opened and various universities were established. Also, the condition of 10 acres of Municipal Corporation land for opening private college was reduced to five acres on May 12, 2017. He said that IILM University, Gurugram and Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University, Mundri, Kaithal have been established, and Pt. Lakhmi Chand Sanskrit University was being established at village Aterna in district Sonipat.
  • The present State Government has so far opened 35 self financed degree colleges and issued No Objection Certificates for opening five self financed law colleges. He said that demi official letters were issued to all universities on March 29, 2016 for establishing incubation centres. Nodal Officers have been appointed for establishing incubation centres in six universities excluding Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa.
  • Approval has been given for establishing a chair after the name of former Deputy Chief Minister, Late Dr. Mangal Sen at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, for carrying out research on his multi-dimensional personality and to promote his ideology.
