- Chandigarh, September 18: Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mr Anil Vij said that applications have been invited from the sportspersons who have shown excellent performance at National or International level for appointment to posts on various services of the State. Sportspersons who have either played for Haryana at the national level or is domicile of Haryana would only be considered eligible for these posts.
- While giving details Mr Vij said that those sportspersons who had played for competitions including Olympics, Para-Olympics, Asian Games, Asian Para Games, Commonwealth Games, (Para Sports), World Championships organized once in 1 or 2 or 4 years, IBSA World Games, Deaflympics, World University Games, Asian or Commonwealth Championships organized once in 1 or 2 or 4 years and special Olympics at senior level are eligible for these posts. Sportspersons who have represented any other State or Union Territory at the National level will not be eligible for these posts.
- The age of the applicant should not be less than the age specified for the appointment to the post (as per the rules of the Haryana Government) and not above 50 years on the date of receipt of valid application. Applicants should send their signed applications neatly typed in the prescribed form i.e. Form I for individual event and Form II for team event along with the required documents through the National Sports Federation duly signed by its President or Secretary General.
- For this, the sportspersons are required to send their applications to the Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department. More information in this regard can be obtained from the website of the Department www.haryanasports.gov.in.
