  • Chandigarh, September 26– With a view to spread awareness about cleanliness and hygiene, J.C. Bose (erstwhile YMCA) University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad is observing “Swachhta Hi Seva” (Cleanliness is service) fortnight campaign from September 15 to October 2, 2018 to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 4th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Under the campaign, the cleanliness drive is being carried out in the University premises and neighbouring areas by the NSS wing of the University.
  • Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar, the entire University fraternity comprises of the faculty members, staff and students enthusiastically participating in the various cleanliness activities organized under the campaign. In his message to the students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar has urged the students to keep the campus clean so that it will be a model educational institution in line with the standard of cleanness, greenery and beauty.
  • The Campaign started with the ‘Swachhta Pledge’ administered by Director, Youth Welfare Dr. Pradeep Dimri. The participants took the pledge to remain committed towards cleanliness and devote time for this. The waste materials like papers, polythene bags, and wrappers sprawling in the University premises were cleaned up by the participants and disposed of in the dustbin. In addition, the students and faculty members carried out the cleanliness drive in the various laboratories and class rooms of the University.
