  • Chandigarh, September 24-Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar said that Haryana will organise the 33rd World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) Conference from October 10 to 12, 2018 at Gurugram. This   would be the first conference of WUWM in India, where representatives of 45 countries are expected to participate.
  • In this regard, the Minister was presiding over a review meeting with the officers of the department, here today.
  • He said that the conference of representatives of big mandis of the world, would prove to be a milestone in the advancement of International Fruits and Vegetables Terminus, at Ganaur. It is a matter of pride that Haryana is holding the first such conference, in the country.
  • Those present included Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Mrs Navraj Sandhu, Chief Administrator, Haryana State Marketing Board, Mr Hardeep Kumar, Director-cum-Special Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Mr D.K. Behera, Director General, Horticulture, Dr Arjun Saini and others.
