  • Chandigarh, September 24 - Union Government has sanctioned projects worth about Rs 107 crore for Haryana for 2018-19 under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana - Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied sector Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR).
  • This was disclosed in a quarterly review meeting of State Level Sanctioning Committee regarding RKVY-RAFTAAR, held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, here today.
  • It was informed during the meeting that the objective of this scheme is to make farming remunerative economic activity by strengthening farmer’s effort, risk mitigation and promoting agri­business entrepreneurship. Under RKVY-RAFTAAR, funds would be provided by the Center and States in the ratio of 60:40.
  • The Centre Government has released its first installment of Rs 30.60 crore and the state government has approved to spend the Rs 50.77 crore, out of the Centre and State governments’ share.
  • Under RKVY-RAFTAAR regular projects for the year 2018- 2019, five projects of Agriculture Department, two projects of Horticulture Department, three projects of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, three projects of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, four projects of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and three projects of Haryana Dairy Development Corporation Federation, have been included.
  • Apart from this, under production projects related to value addition, four projects of the Agriculture Department, three of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, one project each of Haryana Seeds Development Corporation and Haryana Land Reclamation and Development Corporation, besides projects of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University and Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, have been included.
  • Under the Flexi funds, besides six projects of the Agriculture Department, other projects have also been included.  Apart from this, five projects have been included under the SC component of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana.
