  • Chandigarh, October 3—The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has thanked the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, for further hiking the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all Rabi crops for 2018-19 to be marketed in 2019-20 season. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, at its meeting chaired by the Prime Minister in New Delhi today, approved the increase in the MSP for all Rabi crops for 2018-19.
  • In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister hailed the decision and said, “This farmer-friendly measure, a determined step in the direction of doubling farmers’ income by 2022, will surely give additional return to the farmers and assure them a profit of more than 50 per cent over and above their cost pf production. I thank the Prime Minister for the decison which will go a long way in bettering the economic lot of the farmers.”
  • Mr Manohar Lal said the increase in MSP of wheat had been hiked by Rs.105 per quintal, safflower by Rs.845 per quintal, barley by Rs 30 per quintal, masur (lentil) by Rs 225 per quintal, gram by Rs.220 per quintal, and rapeseed and mustard by Rs 200 per quintal.  The MSP fixed by the government for wheat, barley, gram, masur, rapeseed and mustard and safflower are much higher than the cost of production.
  • With the hike, the net return to the farmers over the cost of production ranges from 50.1 per cent to 112.5 per cent on different crops, he added.
  • Chandigarh, October 3- Haryana Government has given Chander Shekhar Khare, Administrator, HSVP, Gurugram, Additional Director, Urban Estates, Gurugram, Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited, Gurugram, the additional charge of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, during the leave period of Yash Pal.
  • Dr Sushil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Karnal and CEO, DRDA, Karnal has been given the additional charge of Zonal Administrator, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Karnal.
  • Kulwant Kumar Kalson, awaiting orders of posting has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty to Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, till further orders.  He will firmly be supervising the procurement of Bajra on e-Kharid and pre-empt any chances of failure especially by officers or officials of government agencies involved in the process.
  • Chandigarh, October 3- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will be the Chief Guest of the programme ‘Ek Sham Atal Ji ke Naam’ being organised on the 32nd anniversary of Foundation Day of Haryana Urdu Academy on October 6, 2018 at Government Women College in District Jind.
  • While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that Akhil Bharatiya Jashan-e-Musahiara programme would be organised in the collaboration of Haryana Urdu Academy and District Administration, Jind. This programme would be chaired by Tourism and Culture Affairs Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma.
  • He said that its special guests would be Union Minister of Steel, Ch. Birender Singh, Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Panwar, MP Soniapt, Mr Ramesh Kaushik, State BJP, President, Mr Subhash Barala and Chairman, Haryana State Waqf Board, Mr Raheesh Khan.
  • The Media Advisors to Chief Minister, Mr. Rajiv Jain and Mr. Amit Arya would be among the other keynote speakers on the occasion.
  • Chandigarh, October 3- Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that the Diphtheria patients in the villages of Nuh in Mewat area have been identified and special teams of Health department had been sent there, for the vaccination of all the people of the area.
  • Mr Vij said that these teams would go door to door in villages to examine the people and vaccinate them. He directed the officers of the department to launch a special campaign in this region, for the vaccination of such people who avoid vaccination. 
  • He said that in order to prevent the spread of these diseases, the State Government has taken various initiatives due to which there is record decline in the number of patients as compared to the previous years.
  • Chandigarh, October 3 - Haryana Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Solar Alliance (ISA), under which every year Kalpana Chawla Haryana Solar Award will be conferred upon scientists selected by ISA.
  • The MoU was signed between the Additional Chief Secretary, New and Renewable Energy, Mr. P.K. Mahapatra, on behalf of Haryana Government and the Interim Director General, ISA, Mr. Upendra Tripathy.
  •  On the occasion, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Mr. R. K. Singh, Haryana Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Dr. Banwari Lal, and Chairman, HAREDA, Mr Shailendra Shukla were also present.
  • This agreement was signed during the first General Assembly of ISA at India-ISA Partnership Renewable Energy Investors Meet and Expo held in Noida today.
  • International Solar Alliance (ISA) is a group of 121 countries that will every year honour the scientists who are doing exceptional work in the field of solar energy research and development or associated with such research institute, with Kalpana Chawla Haryana Solar Award. For this, the Haryana Government has made a fixed deposit of Rs10 crore and the interest received from this fixed deposit will be used as award money.
  • Such awards will encourage their participation in solar sector and provide them a platform to access affordable, reliable and sustainable energy across 121 member countries of ISA. It will help in achieving the universal goal of sustainable energy for all.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 3 – Sushil Kumar, a youth from Haryana has been awarded third prize at national level under Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Scheme.
  • While congratulating Sushil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Higher Education, Mrs. Jyoti Arora said that Sushil is a law student of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and he had been awarded third prize at national level under Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Scheme by the Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti at New Delhi.
  • Mrs. Arora said that the Central Government had launched ‘Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Scheme’ on May 25, 2018 for students of Higher Education to realise the dream of Swacch Bharat of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.
  • Under this scheme, each student getting registered had to adopt a village and implement Swachhta Abhiyan as a 100-hour project under the supervision of Nodal Officer. After completion of 100-hour internship project, they had to upload the report on a given website of the Central Government.
  • She said that 98,172 youth across the country had got themselves registered under this scheme whereas Haryana remained at first place in terms of maximum registration with 10,112 youth. Haryana was the first state which had been registered under Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Scheme with five points. As many as 475 Nodal Officers also got themselves registered for guiding the youth.
  • Mrs. Arora said that 110 government colleges, 97 government aided colleges, 20 private colleges, all government universities and 10 private universities of the state participated under this scheme towards making this registration a success. The universities in the state selected best three interns and the State Selection Committee recommended best three entries to the Central Government, out of which the work of Sushil Kumar was adjudged as the best.
  • Chandigarh, October 3: Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the present Government is providing facilities of clean water and clean toilets in every village which would further be improved as per the requirement.
  • Mr Bedi was speaking as the Chief Guest in the ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ program being organized at Sri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in which everyone took the pledge to celebrate Swachhta Month till  October 28. The programme was organised on the directions of the vice chancellor of the university, Dr Baldev Kumar under the aegis of Swachhta Prerak Samiti of the university and Kisan Khetihar Majdoor evam Dharmik Vikas Sangathan jointly. He said that under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Haryana bagged Number -1, State Award for its achievements in the field of sanitation and cleanliness. The award was conferred by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi to Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal under Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2018 organised by Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation at New Delhi.
  • Mr Bedi urged the professors, officials, citizens and students of the university to motivate the village people for adopting cleanliness and hygiene in their life.

  • Chandigarh, Oct 3 – Haryana Forests Minister, Rao Narbir Singh has urged the people of the state to assist the government in the steps being taken to conserve the forest resources and save the wildlife.
  • In a statement issued here today, Rao Narbir Singh said that Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will be the chief guest in the State Level function of Wildlife Conservation Week to be held at Masani Barrage in district Rewari on October 5, 2018. The function would be inaugurated by planting saplings.
  • He said that Herbal Park and Eco-Tourism Centre have already been established at Masani Barrage, and this place has significance due to its biodiversity, ecological sustainability, tourism  and, education and research. He said that wildlife such as black buck, peacock, nilgai and, grey and brown francolin are found in this area. Apart from this, Peacock and Chinkara Breeding Centre has been established at Jhabua Forest.
  • The Masani Barrage is situated at New Delhi-Jaipur National Highway-8. This would benefit eco-tourism in South Haryana and would improve the socio-economic condition of people of the area.
  • Chandigarh, October 3: Haryana Government has nominated Mr Tejinder Singh of village Samora, district Karnal as non-official member of the District Grievances Redressal Committee, Karnal with immediate effect
  • Chandigarh, Oct 3 – Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj said that 1869.5 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Bajra and 1.76 lakh MT of Paddy have so far been procured in the mandis of the state.
  • He said that 209 MT of Bajra has so far been procured in district Dadri and 502.9 MT in district Gurugram. Similarly, 169 MT in Nuh, 238 MT in Narnaul and 750 MT has been procured in district Rewari. He said that this year, Bajra was being procured in more than 40 mandis of the state where all Bajra arrived has been procured.
  • The Minister said that the work on procurement of paddy has also started in all districts. He said that 36,566 MT Paddy has so far been procured in Ambala. Similarly, 45,618 MT has been procured in Karnal, 84,020 MT in Kurukshetra and 5,985 MT in Yamunanagar. The government has procured cent per cent paddy that has arrived in the mandis, he added.
  • Chandigarh, October 3- On the recommendation of Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Haryana Government has appointed 30 candidates as Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) Geography and directed them to join at the place of posting as mentioned on website of School Education Department http://www.schooleducationharyana.gov.in/.
  • While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the department said that the appointments would be on probation for a period of two years and the probation period can be extended for a period not exceeding one year. The candidates are directed to join his or her place of posting within 15 days and send the joining report at dsepgtl@gmail.com, failing which their appointment offer would be withdrawn.
  • The candidates are required to produce their original certificates of academic qualifications and other relevant certificate to the District Education Officer concerned along with Photostat self-attested copies, he added.
  • He said that if any candidate gets an appointment as PGT by furnishing invalid qualifications, forged or fraudulent information or facts which are detected later on, he or she would be liable for termination of service without any notice. Those candidates who have not passed STET or HTET and B.Ed. as yet, they would have to qualify HTET and B.Ed., otherwise their appointment would stand terminated automatically without giving any further notice.    
  • The concerned District Education Officers would ensure to check the relevant documents and send the joining report of PGT to headquarter, he added.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 3 – In a major break-through, Crime investigation Agency of Haryana Police has arrested three persons for allegedly plotting to execute a robbery at gun-point in Narwana of Jind district and seized five pistols alongwith 11 live cartridges from them.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police department said that arrested accused have been identified as Vipin alias Shooter, a resident of village Nanheri, Fatehabad, Lakhwinder Singh of village Jhandia Kalan, Ropar, Punjab and Gurpreet Singh, a native of village Miyanpur, Ropar Punjab.
  • He said that on getting reliable information that some youths were allegedly plotting a robbery at gun-point at Hamirgarh road in Narwana, the police got into action and arrested all the accused with illegal arms.
  • During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that they remained involved in various crimes and cases were also registered against them in different police stations. All the accused would be taken on remand by producing them in the court so that their involvement in other cases could be unearthed.
  • In another case, police have also booked Sachin, a resident of village Bhiwani from village Saccha Khera on the charges of possessing two illegal pistols and two live cartridges.
  • Meanwhile, Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu appreciated the Jind Police for their relentless efforts in nabbing the criminals.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 3 – Two children namely Pulkit and Devvrat find their new home as Haryana State Council for Child Welfare, Panchkula today gave them up for adoption to two different families.
  • Director, State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Haryana, Dr. Sonia Trikha Khullar handed over the custody of Pulkit to an American couple and Devvrat to a family from Ambala Cantt. Both children were handed over to the couples after completing all documents of Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA). Since 1982, the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare has so far handed over 523 children to new families including 371 across the country and 152 abroad.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khullar said that it was a proud moment for her as Pulkit and Devvrat has found their new home. She said that the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare has been doing a commendable job for the welfare of children.
  • General Secretary of the Council, Mr. Krishan Dhull said that the destitute children found anywhere are brought to the 'Shishu Greh' being run by the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare where all facilities are provided to them. When a family applies for adopting a child, a complete procedure is followed to give them up for adoption, he added.
