  • Chandigarh October 22: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has directed the concerned departments to fast track the repair work of roads that got damaged especially during the rainy  season to make the roads  pothole free and said that the State roads as has heavy movement of vehicles should be widened to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
  • Mr Manohar Lal was presiding over a meeting regarding the repair of roads here today. He also directed to take up the matter with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on priority basis for carrying out the repair or patchwork   on those National Highways falling in the State which were damaged especially during the rainy season.  
  • The Departments of Public Works (Building and Roads), Haryana State Agricultural and Marketing Board (HSAMB), Haryana Shehari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Urban Local Bodies and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) are involved in the construction of roads in the State.
  • While reviewing the condition of roads, the Chief Minister directed that a proposal be mooted for the transfer of all six karam roads of 3000 kms of HSAMB to Public Works (Building and Roads) Department for repair. The transfer of these roads to PWD (B&R) would further enhance the durability of these roads, which constitutes about 23.8 per cent total roads of HSAMB. The HSAMB has total 13021 kilometers roads in the State. He also directed to constitute a dedicated team comprising three officers at divisional level. The team would   work under the direct supervision of respective Divisional Commissioner and carry out regular inspection of all the 13021 kilometer end to end roads of HSAMB and also submit report in this regard.
  • The Chief Minister also asked all the executing agencies to develop atleast one or two roads as a model road in terms of beautification and cleanliness. He suggested that the sidelining on seven meter wide roads should be done in yellow colour to add beauty to the existing roads. He said that the bushes alongside the roads should be cut and tall trees be trimmed.
  • It was informed that out of the 24,000 kilometer roads of PWD(B&R), the 2690 kilometers long affected roads would be made pothole free by November 1, 2018. The Chief Engineers of the Department have been asked to visit the site to ensure the early completion of work.
  •  It was informed that HSAMB has total 13021 kms roads in the State out which the patchwork on 7642 kms long road is in progress at a cost of Rs 10 crore . The work is likely to be completed by the end of November this year. Similarly, the work for the strengthening of 1480 kms long roads is also being carried out at a fast pace and it would be completed by March 31, 2019. Apart from this, tender has been allotted for the special repair of 451 kms roads. In addition, the repair of 3448 kms roads would be got conducted under the defect liability period. It was also informed that on the direction of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal the thickness of roads of HSAMB has been increased to 100 mm to enhance the durability of roads.
  • It was also informed that out of the 2400 kms road of HSVP, special repair of 200 kms road has been completed. A budget provision of Rs 71 crore has been earmarked for this purpose during the current financial year out of which Rs 22 crore has already been spent. The repair of 800 kms roads is in the pipeline and 60 per cent of this work would be got completed by December 2018. The remaining work is  likely to be completed by March  31, 2019. It was informed that 32 Municipalities out of the total 80 Urban Local Bodies have sent their estimates for the repair of roads.
  • It was informed that the HSIIDC has total 700 kms road in the State. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared for providing adequate infrastructure facilities like roads, drinking water supply and drainage in Dharuhera. The HSVP transferred Dharuhera to HSIIDC last year only.
  • It was also informed that workforce has been increased to timely redress the complaints received on HARPATH App, the mobile application which enables the people to upload the pictures of damaged roads and seek action. It was informed that out the total complaints received on the app, 90 per cent has been attended.
  • Among those present in the meeting included Chief Secretary Mr D.S Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary PW(B&R)  Mr Alok Nigam, Principal Secretary Urban Local Bodies Mr Anand Mohan Sharan, Chief Administrator HSVP Mr J. Ganeshan and other senior officers of the State Government.
  • Chandigarh, October 22 – Haryana Government has appealed to the under probation employees of State Roadways to get back to their work at the earliest.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Transport Department said that the Transport Department had issued appointment letters to 1,628 bus drivers selected by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, of which 1,547 bus drivers had assumed the charge in different depots. Unfortunately, there is continuous strike in the state since October 16, 2018. Even the under probation drivers had joined the strike in view of the influence of unions and no clear information of service rules. It  is brought to  the notice of such employees that in case of non-satisfactory Probation Period, the services of such employee could be terminated without any show cause notice. He said that the State Government has given assurance that if they get back to their work then they would be dealt with mildly for their involvement in the strike. After getting back to work, their safety would be the responsibility of the District Administration and the State Government.  
  • The spokesman said that it was also informed that as of now, the State Government has no proposal to change the Transport Department into State Roadways Corporation or Nigam and apart from the kilometre scheme; no other policy is being introduced.
  • Therefore,  it is appealed to them to get back to their work  for  the convenience of the people, he added.
  • Chandigarh, October 22: Haryana Government has directed all the departments, Boards and Corporations to send their requisition for the post of clerks  through “online requisition module” to Haryana Staff Selection Commission(HSSC) by October 30, 2018.
  • While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that the HSSC has moved to an online mode thus the requisitions would be accepted  through this ‘online requisition module’.
  • He said that a written communication in this regard has been issued from the office of Chief Secretary to all the Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Managing Director and Chief Administrators of Boards and Corporations of the State
  • Chandigarh, October 22 – Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi has directed all the Additional Deputy Commissioners in the state to review the activities of ‘Samagra Shiksha’ every month. Apart from this, he also directed them to pay special attention towards inclusive education being given in schools.
  • Mr. Dhesi was presiding over first meeting of Executive Committee of Samagra Shiksha of the Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad, here today.
  • It was informed in the meeting that in order to develop interests of students studying in government primary and secondary schools of the state towards science, Haryana School Science Promotion Programme was being run in 1,050 schools. As many as 1,233 science labs have been set up under this programme. Apart from this, science excursion tours were organised for 200 students per district besides distributing science and math kits in 5,612 upper primary schools.
  • It was also informed that the Central Government has approved an integrated annual work plan of about Rs 1,524 crore for Samagra Shiksha in Haryana for the year 2018-19. About 571 civil works would be got executed with about Rs 20 crore. Under innovative activities, a pilot project namely bag-less schools has been envisaged from class-I. The project has been successfully implemented in 119 primary schools of the state. The project would be implemented in 238 more schools by December 2018.
  • It was informed that 32 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) are being run in the state in which 2,671 students are enrolled. The Central Government has given approval for upgrading 10 KGBVs up to class ten plus two.
  • Chandigarh, October 22: Haryana Health Minister Mr Anil Vij has  directed for making proposal for providing residential accommodation for doctors and employees within the hospital premises of the State.
  • Mr Vij  was reviewing the meeting of Health department with the officers of various departments regarding construction of residential quarters in Ambala Cantonment, at Chandigarh today. He said that construction of residential accommodation in all the Government hospitals as per the requirement would not only facilitate the doctors but also would help the patients to get the treatment done conveniently.
  • He said that all the necessary formalities regarding construction of residential quarters for doctors and officials in Ambala Cantonment would soon be completed so as to start the construction work as soon as possible.  It would benefit the doctors deputed at  Government Hospital Amabala.
  • Additional Chief Secretary, Health and  Family Welfare Department,  Mr R RJowel, Director General, Health Services,  Dr. Satish Kumar Aggarwal were also present on this occasion besides other senior officers.
  • Chandigarh, October 22: With a view to increase the efficiency of recruitments with minimum procedural and financial burden on candidates, the Haryana Government has decided to conduct combined group based examination for various posts in Group B (non-gazette) and Group C that come under the purview of Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
  • While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that to initiate this process, all the Administrative Departments, Boards and Corporations are required to provide information of various posts for Group B and Group C through an online form on the link https://goo.gl/forms/jl8Wbx0q11IdWAFE3 within 15  days.
  • He said that this combined group based examination system would also minimize the operational expenditure incurred by the HSSC while conducting recruitment examinations.
  • The spokesman said that a written communication in this regard has been issued from the office of Chief Secretary to all the Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of the State.

  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha would be the chief guest at district level function in district Yamunanagar and Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Santosh Yadav would be the chief guest in district Rewari.
  • He said that Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma would be the chief guest in district Bhiwani, Finance Minister, Capt.
