  • Chandigarh, Oct 23 – A spokesman of the Haryana Transport Department has said that the kilometre scheme is to add more buses in the fleet of Haryana Roadways and this scheme would not have any adverse effect on any employee of the Department.
  • He said that under this scheme, the conductor would be of the Department who would issue tickets to the passengers and the revenue thus collected would be deposited to the state exchequer only.
  • He said that the buses plying under this scheme would have permit of Haryana Roadways and the time table and route would also be decided by the Department only. The implementation of this scheme would increase transport service which would be in favour of passengers and the State Government. Under this scheme, the driver would be of the bus owner and the salary, maintenance, insurance and GST tax would be borne by the transporter. Also, the expenses of diesel would be borne by the bus owner, he added.
  • The spokesman said that under this scheme, the expenses of MACT/all challans of the bus and insurance would be borne by the bus owner. Under this scheme, the average expenses of the Department would be Rs 34 per kilometre whereas the expenses of the State Roadways bus are Rs 45-49 per kilometre. This would save about Rs 14 per kilometre of the government.
  • He said that the design and colour scheme of these buses would be similar to the Haryana Roadways buses. The buses plying under this scheme would continue to provide concessional and free travel facility to 40 different categories on the pattern of State Roadways. The fare would be as per the rates of Haryana Roadways, he added.
  • The spokesman said that in order to provide uninterrupted transport services to people, the Department has given appointment letters to 174 EBPG category drivers. After their joining, buses would ply on 174 more routes. Apart from this, 2,802 buses plied in Haryana including 1,464 buses of Haryana Roadways, 279 of schools and private buses and 1,059 buses of cooperative societies.
  • He said that services have been terminated of 47 on probation drivers and other on probation drivers have started getting back to work. He said that office bearers of transport unions would meet the Transport Minister at Haryana Niwas tomorrow at 4 p.m.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 23 – While fulfilling the long pending demand of thousands of land owners, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has given approval for releasing 60.57 acres land under the fully inhabited four colonies in Faridabad namely Trikha colony, Bhatia colony, Raghubri colony and Shiv colony, parts which were acquired by HUDA 20 years back, on the lines of Dadupur Navli de-notification.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister has given this approval in view of the CWP no. 15546 of 1995 Gulshan Malik and Ors. Vs. State of Haryana and for de-notification of land under the provisions of ‘The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Haryana Amendment) Act, 2017’.
  • He said that any interested person or landowner to whom land has to be released, may submit his or her claim in writing to the Land Acquisition Officer within 30 days from the publication of this notification so that the de-notification process could be completed and claims could be settled in accordance with law.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 23 – Haryana Tourism Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that Mauritius has requested the Haryana Government to celebrate Gita Jayanti Mahotsav in their country also so that their citizens could also get to know the culture of India.
  • Mr. Sharma was speaking in a function organised on the occasion of completion of four years of the tenure of the present State Government, here today.
  • He said that the Gita Jayanti Mahotsav being organised in Kurukshetra has been appreciated in the entire world. Tourists from all across the globe participate in this Mahotsav, he added.
  • He said that the pilgrimages located around 48 Kos of Kurukshetra are being developed and soon 48 Kos Parikrama would be started there on the pattern of Govardhan Parikrama. He said that during last four years, the possibilities in the field of tourism in the state have increased considerably. Madhogarh and Mahendragarh Fort in South Haryana have been developed as popular tourist spots.
  • The Minister said that world famous Crafts Mela is organised at Surajkund in Faridabad from February 1 to 15 every year. In view of the increasing interests of the people, the duration of this Mela is being increased from 15 days to 17 days, he added.
  • Chandigarh, October 23 – Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya has urged the private institutions working in the field of education to provide quality education and equal opportunities of education to students belonging to poor families.
  • The Governor was speaking with representatives of private educational institutions and government aided institutions, here today.
  • He said that abiding by the rules of the government, the private institutions should give admissions to poor students in their institutions so that talented students would get equal opportunities in education. Some children are unable to complete their education due to lack of funds. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the government and educational institutions to ensure that no child would remain deprived of education due to lack of money, he added.
  • Mr. Arya said that besides providing formal education, the educational institutions should also impart students moral values so that the young generation would respect the culture. He said that there are numerous opportunities for  career making in the state and the country. Tapping out these opportunities, the educational institutions should focus on providing quality education.
  • He said that the State Government has been promoting vocational education in the schools so as to promote ‘Make in Haryana’ and ‘Make in India’ programmes. In order to promote moral education, the State Government has included shalokas of the Bhagavad Gita and topics related to Swachhta Abhiyan, Yoga and road safety in the school syllabus.
  • The Governor also met Member, Advisory Board of Prime Minister Office, Dr. Dinesh Brahmachari, General Secretary, Gurjar Kanya Vidya Mandir Devdhar, Mr. Pawan Batar and office bearers of Bhartiya Patrakar Kalyan Manch. Apart from this, Chairman, Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises and MLA, Hisar Assembly Constituency, Dr. Kamal Gupta also met the Governor.
  • Chandigarh October 23: In yet another revolutionary step that will solve the long standing vexed problem of enhancement dues in Haryana Shehari Vikar Pradhikaran (HSVP) sectors, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has decided not only to reduce from 15 percent to 8 percent the interest charged on the Less Conveyed enhancement amounts  per annum but also prescribed that under no circumstances the total interest on the subject less conveyed amount will be allowed to exceed the principal amount.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of HSVP said that this decision alone is likely to result in benefit of over Rs 400 crores for allottees of alteast 26 different sectors in different Urban Estates of the State.
  • The spokesman said that State Government has already accepted 14 out of total 17 demands raised by All Haryana Sector Enhancement Sangharash Samiti and the Haryana State HUDA Sectors Confederation. With the two decisions taken today the only remaining issue is before a committee comprising three  former Judges of the Honble High court. These included Mr Justice Pritam Pal, Mr. Justice Dr Bharat Bhushan Parsoon and Mrs Justice Raj Rahul Garg.
  • He said that a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Rajesh Khullar on August 14, 2018 with All Haryana Sector Enhancement Sangharash Samiti and the Haryana State HUDA Sectors Confederation in which most of their demands had been accepted. It was agreed that if the enhancement awarded to the farmer or land owner in lieu of acquisition of his land, is increased or decreased by the Court at a later stage, the redetermination of additional price would be done accordingly and the difference would be demanded or refunded as the case may be. The burden of un-acquired land would not be offloaded on sector allottees.
  • It was agreed that no enhancement policy would be framed by HSVP on similar pattern as adopted by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) in respect of new sectors to be floated in future. Similarly, some of the land has been released or not acquired in a particular sector and if some private colonizers has got license for development of his colony on this pocket, such private colonizers would also be burdened with proportionate additional price.
  • It was also agreed that HSVP would bring out a policy about the land which is lying vacant or unutilized in any particular sector. The enhancement of such unutilized pocket would be borne by the HSVP. But the enhancement of such unutilized pockets would be charged as per the determined uses of the pocket that is whether salable or common land. If the pocket is salable, its burden of enhancement would not be offloaded on the other plot holders.
  • HE said that all the principles of recalculation are being uploaddd on the HSVP website 
  • Chandigarh, October 23 – In Haryana, Soft Skill Training would be imparted to students studying the final year in government, society or aided polytechnic and engineering colleges of the state for the overall personality development and enhancing employability of students.
  • This was informed by Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education, Ms. Jyoti Arora after signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Department of Technical Education, Haryana and M/s Naandi Foundation which is a CSR Initiative of Mahindra Group.
  • Ms. Jyoti Arora said that this customised programme for students covering aspects of aptitude, behaviour and career skills is first of its kind in Northern India and will enhance employability, overall placement ratio and average salary of passing out students as department has also taken new initiatives on induction, curriculum change, mentoring and regular Industry Institute Interactions.
  • Director, Technical Education, Mr. A. Sreenivas said that the Department is presently having 37 government, society and aided polytechnics and four State Engineering Colleges other than self financing polytechnic and engineering colleges which are running different diploma and degree programs in the field of engineering, pharmacy and management. For improving academic performance, overall personality development and enhancing employability of students in institutes, various steps were taken during last academic year and the Department was able to achieve nearly 100 per cent placement including higher studies for the students passing out of government polytechnics and state engineering colleges. During various interactions with the industries, it was observed that for enhancing employability and to provide better placements to students in Global Industries and MNCs, there is a dire need of professional assistance, guidance and mentoring by the experts in this area for improvement in their soft skills in communication, body language, group discussions, interview preparation, quality tools etc which will provide a competitive edge to the passing out students and will make them more employable.
  • National Director, M/s Naandi Foundation, Ms Padma Jayaraman said that Mahindra Pride Class Room is a flagship Corporate Responsibility Livelihood program of the Mahindra and Mahindra Group and is fully implemented by Naandi Foundation. The said soft skill training of 60 Hours would be provided free of cost at the doorstep by the professional trainers. Evaluation and Certification will also be done by Mahindra Pride Class Room.
  • Chandigarh October 23: Haryana Government has decided to introduce “Pashu Sanjeevni Sewa” in the State under which free of cost quality veterinary services and health care facilities for the livestock would be made available at the doorstep of livestock farmers through Mobile Veterinary Clinics. To begin with, this service would be started in all blocks of three districts namely Jind, Yamunanagar and Nuh .
  • A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today. Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department Minister, Mr O.P Dhankar was also present in the meeting.
  • After the success of the pilot run, the scheme would be replicated in other districts also. The Mobile Veterinary Services would be started in uncovered; staff deficient and remote areas of the State in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The scheme would not only help in providing prompt emergency veterinary services to the livestock but also keep a check on the activities of quacks.
  • It was informed that the livestock farmers would be able to avail the service of Mobile Veterinary Clinics 24x7 after giving a call on toll free No. 1962.  One mobile vehicle would be pressed into service in each block of these three districts to provide emergency veterinary services and health care facilities to the livestock. Each mobile vehicle would have a three-member team comprising a veterinary doctor, one para vet and one helper cum driver. A modest fee of Rs 100 per visit per owner would be charged from the livestock owner. However, the treatment and medicines would be provided free of cost.
  • It was also informed that besides providing quality routine diagnostic facilities and better sero-surveillance of important livestock diseases,  the livestock farmers would also be provided quality referral Veterinary Health Services and extension activities at the doorstep of the livestock of farmers.
  • It was informed that the State has 1018 veterinary hospitals, seven polyclinics and 1814 veterinary dispensaries in the State. It was informed that the department is working at a large scale on milk processing. In the same series, a milk processing unit has been established at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar to provide fresh milk products to the consumers.
  • Among those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Mr Sunil Kumar Gulati and Director General Animal Husbandry and Dairying Mr Hardeep Singh.
  • Chandigarh, October 23 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal announced development works worth Rs 244 crore for district Panchkula besides inaugurating and laying foundation stones of nine projects amounting to Rs 85.03 crore at Panchkula near here today.
  • The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula today.
  • He said that the present State Government has made maximum use of information technology to change the working system and put a check on corruption. He said that stringent actions would be taken to curb corruption in every possible manner.
  • Lashing out at former Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Mr. Manohar Lal said that Mr. Hooda was expert in misleading people by making lucrative announcements. Mr. Hooda had made so many announcements in Gohana rally which was held on November 1, 2013 that even officers had to step back saying that there was no sufficient funds to implement those announcements. Mr. Manohar Lal said that 6800 announcements have been made during last four years of which more than 60 per cent have either been completed or near completion. All these announcements would be got completed by next year. He said that 176 promises were made in 2014 election manifesto of which 161 have been completed, he added.
  • The Chief Minister said that the State Government has sufficient funds for development works. In 2014, the state budget was about 61,000 crore which has increased to more than Rs 1.15 lakh crore in 2018-19.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal said that during last four years, he had visited each assembly constituency and made announcements of at least Rs 700 crore to Rs 1,000 crore depending upon the demand of the area. He said that as a result of the cooperation of the people, the state has won national awards for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme, Swachhta Survekshan Grameen 2018 and Digitalization. Mr. Manohar Lal said that he has asked all the MLAs to prepare vision documents of their respective assembly constituencies.
  • The Chief Minister said that development works of Rs 2000 crore for Panchkula and Rs 700 crore for Kalka have either been completed or under progress. Apart from this, announcements amounting to Rs 234 crore have been made today. On the demand of MLA, Panchkula, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, he announced Rs five crore for Ashiana Flats, Rs 10 crore for expansion of old age home, Rs eight crore for district level digital library and Rs 10 crore to cover the drain at Sector 5 Mansa Devi Complex. Apart from this, he also announced development works worth Rs 35 crore for rural areas of the district which included high level bridge on river from Khatoli to Alipur, Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Rattewali, Mouli road at Bator, roads from Nayagaon to Natwal, Sundarpur to Rampur, Tibbi to Bunga, Banawal to Raseedpur, Billa to Jaswantgarh, Choti Chowki to Badi Chowki and Khangesra to Jaswantgarh.
  • On the demand of MLA, Kalka, Mrs. Latika Sharma, the Chief Minister announced fruit and vegetable market for Kalka Assembly Constituency at Pinjore costing Rs 100 crore, upgrading the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kalka to 50 bedded hospital, 20 bedded CHC at Pinjore, upgrading Nanakpur PHC to CHC, bridge from Issarnagar to Bakshiwala costing Rs eight crore, bridge from Pinjore Mallah Road to Berghati costing Rs six crore and announced Rs 20 crore separately for Kalka city. He also announced Rs 21 crore for eight roads of rural areas of Kalka Assembly constituency.
  • The Chief Minister also congratulated people on the eve of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. He said that the State Government has been organising district level functions of the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain said that during last four years, the State Government has eliminated the myth of not carrying out development works in villages that have been covered under new municipal corporations. She said that during the tenure of previous State Government, only Rs 10 crore were spent in such villages whereas Rs 218 crore have been spent during last four years. She said that Panchkula is first such city where CCTV cameras, LED lights and WiFi facilities were given first.
  • Member of Parliament, Mr. Rattan Lal Kataria, MLAs, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta and Mrs. Latika Sharma also spoke on this occasion.
