  • Chandigarh, October 27 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today inaugurated and dedicated the newly constructed Dr Mangal Sen Elevated Road, constructed at the cost of about Rs 150 crore to the people of Rohtak.
  • The Chief Minister while addressing the people at the inauguration of Dr Mangal Sen Elevated road in Rohtak today, extended the greetings to the people on the occasion of Dr Mangal Sen Jayanti. He described the four years’ tenure of the present state government as Bemisal(unmatched).After the inauguration, the road was opened for the traffic. He also paid floral tributes to Dr Mangal Sen. The Chief Minister announced to give Rs 25 crore for the developmental works in Rohtak.
  • He also announced to construct a huge statue of Dr Mangal Sen, over an area of one acre in Rohtak, besides the construction of a museum for inspiring the youth from the life of Dr Mangal Sen. He said that following the ideology of Dr Mangal Sen, the present government has implemented several welfare schemes for the people.
  • He said that the state government has carried out development works across the state without any bias, which would continue in future also.  He said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, the country has progressed in all fields.
  • Those present included Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar, Minister of State for Co-operation, Mr Manish Kumar Grover and BJP State President, Mr  Subhash Barala.
  • Chandigarh, October 27- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today handed over cards of Ayushmaan Bharat: Haryana Health Protection Mission (PMJAY)   to the media persons to provide health benefits to them.  
  • The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference organised on the occasion of completion of four years of present government at New Delhi today.
  • The Chief Minister said that now the accredited and recognized media persons of the State would be covered under the scheme and they would be provided health cover of Rs five lakh per annum per family. This would enable them to get medical treatment facility in any recognized government or private hospital. He said that 265 hospitals including 83 government and 182 private has been registered in the State under the Scheme.        
  • On the occasion, a film depicting the four years’ achievements of the present government and policies was shown.
  • Chandigarh, October 27- Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal said that we are working with the spirit of welfare for the people and present  Government  has been successful in completely rooting out the corruption which was rampant in the state four years ago.  The previous governments used power prominently for transfer-recruitment-CLU whereas we use it only to serve the people of the state.

  • He said that four years ago the atmosphere of fear was prevalent in the state and corruption was rampant.   We succeeded in providing a transparent and corruption free administration to the people for which they reposed their confidence in us four years back.  
  • Paying tributes to Dr Mangal Sen on his Jyanti today, the Chief Minister said that during  four-year period  they had  provided good and corruption-free governance.   He said that a number of welfare schemes had been started during the period, which have yielded positive results. The present government has made 31 new laws in the last four years and changed many policies. Further improvements would be made to bring change for the betterment of all sections of society, he added.
  • The Chief Minister said that many times decisions seem strict but the interest of the society is our priority and of paramount importance.  The Change of land Use (CLU) power was under the jurisdiction of the Chief Minister's office since 1992. In the  last two decades, no Chief Minister had shown the courage to  restrict it to the respective department as per the law.  In an important decision, we have given this  power to the Director,  Town and Country Planning department.
  • The Chief Minister said that online teacher  transfer policy was implemented under which 90 per cent of teachers were posted in the stations of their choice.   Other states are also  coming forward to emulate this  policy in their states.
  • He said that there was a time when there was an atmosphere  of complete suspicion and doubt  for getting  government jobs.  Now the jobs are given only on meritorious basis.    He said that previous government used power  for their own benefit whereas our government is working with the spirit to serve the people. During the previous governments,  large scale corruption, nepotism and regionalism were prevalent in the state, he added.
  • The Chief Minister said that the villages should also be equipped with all basic amenities like cities.  Following this, the present government has started many schemes for the rural areas. Referring to the seven star Rainbow scheme, he said that under the scheme, the villages are being rated according to the facilities and it is a matter of pride that many villages of the state have come under 6 star rating.

  • Chandigarh, October 27 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that five smart cities would be  developed on both sides of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGB) and its draft has been prepared in this regard. In terms of development, these cities would not be less than Singapore. The State Government is working towards making Gurugram not smart but a super smart city, he added.

  • In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said that 105 Mohalla Clinics of Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr Arvind Kejriwal are Halla Clinics. He said that Mr Kejriwal is just misleading the people. These Mohalla clinics of Delhi, at some places have become place of cattle grazing and place of dumping garbage. Mr Kejriwal cannot compete with the policies of Haryana Government.
  • The Chief Minister said that  when in Punjab, Mr Kejriwal claims right of Punjab on SYL and when  in Delhi,   he claims  SYL  right of  Delhi. However, he has no answer on this issue when he  visits Haryana.  
  • The Chief Minister said that 36 blocks have been declared Saksham due to qualitative improvement in the field of education in the state.
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that as compared to previous year, Haryana and Punjab has reduced pollution due to stubble burning.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal said that the state government has no dearth of funds for development schemes. He said that the state government has made 6,800 announcements in the last four years, most of which have been completed. Only the work on announcements made in 2018 are remaining which would be completed by the next year. While in the ten years’ of previous government, 6,500 announcements were made.
  • While replying to another question, the Chief Minister said that policies which were formulated by the present government  for the welfare  of people are being followed by other states due to effective results. He said that the state government has taken an historic decision to procure bajra at Rs 1,950 per quintal and the government is procuring each grain of it.
  • The Chief Minister said that the benefits under various schemes are being transferred to bank accounts of its beneficiaries under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), this has not only increased transparency in providing benefits but has also saved  about Rs.1,000 crore of the state government.

  • Chandigarh, October 27 – With a view to foster and reinforce the unity, integrity and security of nation, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas  (National Unity Day) is being observed all over the country on October 31, 2018, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In 2014, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was introduced by the Government of India to pay tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that  iron was collected from all over the country for the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat. This ‘Statue of Unity’, tallest statue in the world, measuring 182 meters has been constructed in 42 months. On the 142nd Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi will dedicate this Statue of Unity to the country on October 31.
  • He said that the Haryana Government has also decided to  pay befitting tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and will organise  a State Level Function to flag-off the “Run for Unity” programme at Sirsa on October 31, 2018.  The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal would flag-off the “Run for Unity” program at Sirsa.
  • He said that  “Run for Unity” programme would be organised at District Headquarters in a befitting manner so that the message of National Unity permeates to every part of the state and the society.

  • Chandigarh, October 27–In view of adversely affected quality of paddy due to unseasonal and prolonged heavy rains during October, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has requested to the Union Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr Ram Vilas Paswan for giving  relaxation in the prescribed specifications of paddy and of the milled rice, that is, relaxation in broken, damaged and discoloured rice.
  • A letter to this effect was written by the Chief Minister to Mr Ram Vilas Paswan.
  • The Chief Minister stated that the paddy which was procured according to prescribed specifications cannot be milled to rice that conforms to the prescribed specifications that is  67 per cent yield, 25 per cent broken and 3 per cent damaged and 3 per cent discoloured. Thus, in view of the extenuating and unforeseen circumstances, the    specifications need to be relaxed to give effect to the mandate of procurement policy to support farmers through remunerative prices for their produce.
  • He has requested that the State of Haryana might be given relaxation in the outturn ratio from 67 per cent to 64 per cent in case of damaged and discoloured grains, 3:3 to 5:5 in broken 25 per cent to 30 per cent and with 0.5 per cent relaxation in moisture of rice without any value cut.
  • He stated that without relaxation it would be difficult to for the state to get the paddy milled and to deliver the entire Custom Milled Rice (CMR) to the Food Corporation of India in Central Pool.
