  • Chandigarh, October 28: The Union Minister of Steel, Ch Birender Singh has said that the construction work of regional Center of Horticulture University in village Badhana in district Jind in the name of martyr Capt. Pawan Kumar would start soon for which a sum of Rs. 46 crore has been released by the Government.
  • Ch Birender Singh gave this information while addressing the huge gathering during a public meeting in village Ghoghria in district Jind. He said that Government could dedicate a major project for the development of Uchana be it a sports college or a military college  or Textile Park.  He said that during the last four years, a lot of development works have been done for Uchana constituency and many more would also take place.
  • He said that the setting up of a medical college in Jind would not only provide best medical facilities to the people but also would provide employment opportunities for the youth. The Central Government, as well as the State government, are taking positive steps for the development of the country and the State.
  •  While appreciating the reduced electricity prices in Haryana, he said that said on continuing to pay the electricity bills on time, the prices could reduce further. Emphasizing the importance of solar power in the coming time, he said that people should opt for solar energy instead of conventional power as the Government is also providing a huge subsidy on setting up solar energy units.
  • The Union Minister also announced several new projects and completion of incomplete ones for the development of Ghoghria and Sandeel villages including construction of village secretariat in village Ghoghria, laying 13,000 feet long water supply pipeline, strengthening all the streets of the village and announcing a grant of Rs 10 lakh grant for Brahman Dharamshala. He also said that the demand of sub-yard for Crop Procurement Center would also be fulfilled on completing all the conditions.
  • Similarly, for Sandeel village, the Minister assured completion of construction work of village Secretariat, setting up of  33 KV powerhouse, repair of  two water supply pipelines, and strengthening of  all the streets. He also announced a grant of Rs. 10 lakh for construction of Ambedkar Bhawan in the village.       
  • On this occasion MLA Uchana constituency , Mrs Prem Lata said that no one during the regime of previous Government paid any attention to the development of Uchana as a result this constituency lagged behind in terms of development. But after the formation of the present government,  various development works have been done in this area including upgradation of 6 schools and list of 6 more schools to be upgraded had already been sent to the Government. She said that construction work of driving school in village Penga would soon start which would speed up the development of this area. She assured to fulfil almost all the demands of village Sandeel.
  • Chandigarh, October 28– Haryana  Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal announced the development work worth Rs 60 crore for Radaur Assembly Constituency which  besides several others developmental works  also included  Mini Secretariat in Radaur and widening of  Radar-Model Town-Jathlana road upto 7 meters.  He also assured to fulfil all the demands of the Municipal Committee, Radaur.  Further giving a major relief to the residents of Yamunanagar, the Chief Minister announced to remove Damla toll barrier from November 1, 2018.
  • The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing the Jan Vishwas Rally in Damla village of district Yamunanagar today. Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of a high level bridge to be constructed at the cost of Rs 104 crore on Yamuna River  near Jathlana. The Chief Minister also announced a grant of Rs.10 crore  on the demand of Mr Shyam Singh Rana, MLA of Radaur for constructing Pucca roads leading to the fields.
  • The Chief Minister  announced the construction of  Ambedkar Bhawan in 15 villages of Radaur at a cost of Rs 20 crore and construction of Mini Secretariat at Radaur, at a cost of Rs 2 crore.  The  Radar-Model Town-Jathlana road would be widened  upto 7 meters at a cost of Rs ten crore.  As many as eight new roads of Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) and Marketing Board would be constructed  at a cost of Rs.  eight crore.  Many other developmental works would be carried out at a cost of Rs 20 crore.
  • The Chief Minister said that this bridge constructed in Jathlana would  connect Haryana with the subdivision of Nakud in Uttar Pradesh and it would benefit the farmers of many villages of Haryana, whose fields are situated either on the eastern side of the river Yamuna or on the Yamuna river bank.  
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that in view of the traffic problem, the road from Damla to Radaur will be made four lane. He said that  by constructing Kail-Kalanaur bypass by NHAI, the traffic  congestion in Yamunanagar-Jagadhri city had  significantly been eased out.
  • He said that equitable development works was  being carried out across the state. Along with development agenda, we had  been successful in bringing change in the  so as  to achieve  development at a right pace and  in a  right manner.
  • He said that all government services  had been made online so that the public could avail  benefit  from their home. Antyodaya Bhawan had been opened where the benefits of all government services are provided  under one roof and people  would not have to visit the offices for their work.
  • He said that  the online system has curbed corruption to a great extent as in case of any complaint, immediate  and prompt action is taken. He said that the corruption could only be completely curbed when the  people  also come in support of the government and file  complaints  against corruption cases.
  • He said that our government had taken several steps to promote industries.  A system was developed to issue 70-80 licenses under a single roof  within 30 days for setting up a new industry to give boost to industrial sector.  He said that plywood industry is a big industry in Yamunanagar which is also Asia's largest plywood market. During the previous government's tenure, no new licenses were given for setting up plywood industry.   Now, we ended that system and new licenses were being issued easily, he added.
  • He said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister,  Mr Narendra Modi, a huge change was  brought in the form of GST in the country which has  to some extent  reduced tax evasion besides the traders are also happy with the new system. Pond Management Authority had been set up  for the protection, development and rejuvenation of over 14,000 ponds in the state. He said that the  girls did not have to travel far for their education, 29 such places were identified in the state where there were no colleges within 20 km radius.  Foundation stone of 22 colleges were  laid together at these  22 places to promote girl education, he added.
  •  Mr  Manohar Lal said that to change  the system, we  brought revolutionary  changes in Panchayati Raj institutions.   Not only, the Supreme Court decision for educated  panchayats came in our favour, but  Supreme Court made observation that there is a need to adopt this in the entire country.
  • He said that for the first time in Haryana's history, our government  reduced the  electricity rates to almost half.  Appealing to the people to  deposit their electricity bills so that they  could  be provided 24 hours power, he said that with the help of people, we gave 24 hours power  to 2800 villages of  six districts under ‘Mhara village-Jagmag village’ scheme. He said that in two-month  time,  Yamunanagar district will also become  seventh district where all the villages would get electricity 24 hours.
  • He said that for  making water availability for irrigation,  the government has signed Lakhwar Dam agreement, which would provide 47 per cent  water to Haryana. Apart from this,  the availability of water  would also be made from  Kishau Dam and Renuka Dam. He said that the work of increasing the capacity of the Hathnikund Barrage Channel Link Canal has already started, which would cost about  Rs 2000 crore.
  • The Chief Minister said that the previous government made  huge announcements in the last year of its tenure without even making  budgetary provisions.  In the last year of our this tenure we would only make the announcements which we could  complete within  this year.
  •  The Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that this rally was the biggest rally till today  which reflects the  faith  of people in  the   leadership of  both the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.
