  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today announced Rs 252 crore for development works in three assembly constituencies of district Sirsa namely Rania, Kalanwali and Sirsa. Apart from this, the Chief Minister announced a government college for girls and Railway Over Bridge in Ding Mandi.
  • The Chief Minister was addressing the party workers at Sirsa today.
  • He announced development works worth Rs 67 crore for Kalanwali Assembly Constituency, Rs 52 crore for Rania Assembly Constituency and Rs 133 crore for Sirsa Assembly Constituency. He said that development works amounting to more than Rs 2,000 crore have been undertaken in five assembly constituencies of district Sirsa during last four years. In coming time, development works of about Rs 500 crore would be undertaken in district Sirsa.
  • Labeling the previous government as BBC (Badli, Bharti aur CLU) government, the Chief Minister said that during the tenure of previous governments, eligible youth did not get employment. Discontinuing with the system of giving jobs on recommendations, the present State Government has started providing jobs on merit basis to youth. The State Government had also started programmes for skill development of youth to make them employable, he added.
  • Apart from development works, the present State Government has also undertaken works to bring social change which have yielded better results. The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi had launched the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme from Haryana which has shown very encouraging results. He said that the Swachhta Abhiyan was also launched with public participation which has also yielded better results.
  • The Chief Minister urged the farmers not to burn crop residue and adopt the measures being provided by the government for management of crop residue to protect environment.
  • He urged to make people aware of the schemes and policies of the government and make sure that every single person gets benefitted. He said that Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana is an ambitious scheme and it should be ensured that no eligible person should remain uncovered under this scheme.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Kumar said that after being sworn in as the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal had raised the slogan of Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek and by adhering to this slogan, he had carried out equitable development across the state.
  • Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Mr. Jagdish Chopra also spoke on this occasion.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Under the Section 4A of the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1974, the Haryana Government has prohibited any strike by doctors, nurses and other category of staff to ensure patient care of the critical ill and other patients admitted at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science, Rohtak and other constituent Colleges of the University working under the Medical Education and Research Department, for a period of six months.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that orders in this regard have been issued by the Political Branch of the General Administration Department today.
  • Chandigarh, October 30- Haryana Urdu Academy and Haryana Sahitya Akademi, Panchkula together successfully organised a Mushaira at  Haryana Akademi Bhawan, Panchkula today. The programme was presided over by Vice-President, National Sahitya Akademi, Mr Madhav Kaushik, while Dr. H K Lal was the chief guest.
  • While giving this information, Deputy Chairman  and Director Haryana Urdu Academy , Dr Chander Trikha  said that the poets who participated  in the Mushaira  included Dr Rana Gannri, B. D. Kalia Hamdam, Dr Madhav Kaushik , Dr K.K. Rishi, Mekash Ambalvi, Dr. Sultan Anjum,  Dr. Nafas Ambalvi,  Dr. Amar Ambalvi,  T. N. Raz, Sardari Lal Dhawan Kamaal, Dr. Ramakant Sharma,  Sunder Kataria, Sumit Anand, Sangeeta Beniwal and Dr. Mohammad Ayub Khan.
  • On this occasion Dr. H K Lal was honoured by the Haryana Urdu Academy for his contribution towards promotion of Urdu language in Chandigarh.

  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 –The recruitment to about 7500 post, out of 16500 vacancies, of different posts in the Haryana Police department would begin in November 2018. The remaining vacancies will be filled up after this process.
  • Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. B.S. Sandhu gave this information while interacting with media persons after inaugurating DAV Police Public School at Police Lines in Fatehabad today.
  • He said that written examination for about 7,200 posts of constables and 463 posts of Sub Inspector would be held in the months of November and December this year. For this purpose, 800 examination centres would be set up in 11 districts and the examinations would be held in two shifts.
  • He said that the committee constituted to purchase 800 vehicles across the state would hold a meeting on October 31 and then the purchase procedure would be started. He said that 22 vehicles would be provided to different police stations in district Fatehabad. He said that the building of city police station in Fatehabad would soon be constructed.
  • Mr. Sandhu said that soon one counsellor would be deputed in each district of the state to improve skills of police personnel.
  • When asked to comment on busting the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi Gang network, Mr. Sandhu said that the Special Task Force and Police Teams in different districts are fully alert in this regard. Inter State Communication has been set up with Rajasthan and other areas. As a result of these efforts of the Police Department, Sampat Nehra, a member of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang was arrested from Hyderabad. Regarding a call made by the gang demanding ransom money in Fatehabad, he said that a web call was made in this incident and police has got an important lead.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana State Transport Department has decided that salary for the period of the strike and unauthorized absence of Haryana Roadways employees from October 16, 2018 to date should not be released till further orders. However, salary bill should be prepared and submitted accordingly.
  • It will be the personal responsibility of concerned General Manager and Accounts Officer to ascertain the compliance of the orders.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 –  The winners of Sanjhi Competition organised by Haryana Art and Cultural Affairs in Karnal, Kurukshetra, Faridabad and Palwal from Oct 10 to Oct 17, 2018, will be awarded  during the function to be organised on the  occasion of Haryana Day  on November 1, 2018 at Haryana Raj Bhavan.
  • While giving this information today, a spokesman of the department said that the winners have been selected for awards by the Jury after closely inspecting the  Sanjhi    art by visiting house to house. The first prize carries cash award of Rs 11,000, second Rs 7,100, Third Rs 5,100 and two consolation prizes of Rs 2,100 each. During the competition, 15 entries were received in Karnal, 24 in Kurukshetra, 13 in Faridabad and 16 in Palwal.
  • He said that in Karnal, the first prize was won by Sandhya, second by Pooja, third by Simran, while  Kiran and Satya Sharma, Karnal won consolation prize.  
  • In Kurukshetra, the first prize was won by Ramandeep, second by Poonam, third by Nirmala Devi, while Tanu Kratika and Swati won consolation prize. In Faridabad, the first prize was won by Suraj Devi, second by Dipika, third by Kusum Lata, while  Rekha Bhatnagar and Sarita Adhna won consolation prize.
  • In Palwal,  the first prize was won by Urvashi, second by Radha, third by Rajesh Devi, while  Jyoti Arya and Simran Sharma won consolation prize.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Director General of Police Mr B.S. Sandhu said that police would contribute about Rs 50 lakh per month from the salaries of its personnel for State Police Education Fund so that wards of policemen could get a qualitative education in Police Public Schools in the state.
  • Mr Sandhu was speaking after inaugurating the new building of DAV Police Public School at Fatehabad today. 
  • It was recently decided in a welfare meeting that every policeman would contribute up to Rs 125 every month for the education fund.
  • The DGP said that providing quality education and moral values to children is the key objective of DAV Police Public Schools. Keeping this goal in mind, 22 schools have been set up by the Police Department and all the schools have been provided with the facilities of good teachers and others, to ensure that students get the quality education. About 16,000 students are getting the quality education in these schools.
  • Later on, while presiding over a meeting to review the law and order situation with district police officers; the DGP directed them to register complaints pertaining to crime against women without any delay in their respective police stations. The government is quite serious with regard to the safety and security of women in the state. Every officer should also keep a close vigil to ensure that no untoward incident takes places in their respective areas.

  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Tourism and Art and Culture Affairs Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma today  met Former Scientist of ISRO, Dr. A.K. Gupta and Former Executive Director, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, Dr. M. R. Rao, who have been carrying out research on Saraswati heritage, here today. 
  • The scientists had shown images of Saraswati River taken by the satellite in which the course of the river has been shown. The scientists said that during Vedic times, the flow of Saraswati River, which used to flow from Kachh to Arab Ocean, has drifted towards east due to natural changes and landed in Chambal River. At the end, the river water is flowing into Ganga River at Prayagraj. They also informed that Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited has checked some deep wells of Haryana which had water availability. These wells were said to between 5,000 years to 10,000 years old as per the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai.
  • Dr. A.K. Gupta and Dr. M.R. Rao informed that they have recently written books on Vedic mathematics which would benefit students enormously.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that no privatization is being carried out in State Roadways and the kilometre scheme would not affect any employee of State Roadways.
  • The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after inspecting the Sewage Treatment Plant being set up at a cost of Rs 1040 lakh at Ladwa in district Kurukshetra today.
  • He said that roadways fleet is being expanded. Under the new scheme, driver would be of the bus owner whereas conductor would be deputed by the State Government and revenue generated would also be of the State Roadways. Similarly, the route and time table would be decided by the State Roadways. The scheme is completely in favour of employees and it would improve the transportation system.
  • Replying to another question, he said that the capacity of Sewage Treatment Plant would be increased up to 7 MLD per day. The plant is being set up as per the MBBR technology. At present, the capacity of the plant is 3.80 MLD.
  • He said  said that the aim of the State Government is to provide better services to the people and it has succeeded in providing good governance in the state.  The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is being appreciated by everyone and we will form the government again, he added.
  • Replying to another question, he said that Run for Unity is being organised across the country on October 31, 2018. World’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been established at Gujarat which would emerge as a centre of attraction for people of the country as well as for foreign visitors.
  • Expressing gratitude towards the Chief Minister, MLA, Ladwa, Dr. Pawan Saini said that the State Government under the leadership of Mr. Manohar Lal has carried out unmatched development works during its four years tenure.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Government has decided that all government employees Class I, II and III would submit their property return online for the financial year 2017-18. The deadline for the submission of online property returns is April 30th of every year Financial Year.
  • While giving this information today, an official spokesman said that the site for filing the property return is http://intrahry.gov.in. The detail instructions for filing the online property return is also available on the site.
  • He said that the departments could monitor the employees property return submission status on website http://hrmshry.nic.in with the departmental administrator user. Thus, all departments have been directed to nominate their departmental HRMS nodal officers so that the employees concerned could contact them for any clarification.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department will organise a state-level Kisan Sammelan on November 2 in Karnal. About 5,500 farmers will participate in the programme. During the programme, panchayats, farmers and custom hiring centers will be honoured for playing an excellent role in Crop Residue Management.
  • While giving this information today, a spokesman of the department said that the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar would be the Chief Guest and Chief Secretary, Mr D.S. Dhesi would preside over the programme.
  • The Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj and Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Mrs Navraj Sandhu would also be especially present.
  • During the programme, such Panchayats and farmers of the State would be honored, where no case of burning of stubble was recorded for two years.
  • Chandigarh, Oct 30 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that to ensure safety of mother and baby, Mother and Child Health (MCH) wings comprising of 100 beds each would be established in three districts of the State. Ultra modern facilities would be made available in these wings to further reduce the maternal and infant mortality rate in the state.
  • Mr. Vij said that the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given administrative approval of Rs 20 crore each for setting up of each wing. Apart from this, Rs one crore each has been approved as token money for these wings in the current financial year and the remaining amount would be released after commencement of work on these wings. He said that these units would be linked with best category three hospitals so that in case of emergency, patients could get refer facility. Such 100 bedded wings would be opened in all districts of the state in a phased manner, he added.
  • He said that the new MCH wing would only be established at the existing health centre, sub divisional hospitals or district civil hospitals of Panchkula, Panipat and Hisar. He said that quality health services would immediately be provided to prenatal and postnatal. Apart from this, 48-hour stay facility after delivery and secure maternal care would also be provided.
  • The Health Minister said that all these MCH wings would have OPD, labour room, ICU, SNCU, OT Room, rooms to stay before delivery and after delivery besides other facilities such as ANC, PNC and private ward, laboratories, ultrasound, waiting room, pantry and ambulance. Apart from this, best services for patient and caretaker, adequate power supply and public address system would also be there.
  • Mr. Vij said that the maternal and infant mortality rates have reduced considerably as a result of the excellent medical services introduced by the present State Government. Apart from this, the State Government has set a target to further reduce the maternal and infant mortality rates by 2030. In this direction, the target has been set to reduce the maternal mortality rate to 70 per one lakh registered live births and infant mortality rate up to 12 per 1,000 registered live births. Similarly, in case of children up to the age of five years, the target has been set to reduce the infant mortality rate up to 25 per 1,000 registered live births.
