  • Chandigarh, November 14 – Haryana Government has issued transfer or posting orders of four IAS officers and one HCS officer, with immediate effect.
  • Trilok Chand Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Skill Development and Industrial Training, Employment departments and works related to implementation of C.M. announcements, has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Administrative Reforms Department and  Member Secretary, Haryana Governance Reforms Authority, relieving Devender Singh of the said charge.
  • Anil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department has been posted Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education and Technical Education Departments, relieving Jyoti Arora of the said charge.
  • Neerja Shekhar, Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department, vice Anil Kumar.
  • Rani Nagar, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has been posted as Additional Director and Additional Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 14 – As per the provision made in section 8B of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994, the Haryana State Election Commission has prescribed Rs 20 Lakh as limit of expenditure for the candidates contesting the election of Mayor of Municipal Corporation.
  • While stating this here today, State Election Commissioner, Dr. Dalip Singh said that the other instructions issued vide notification dated May 18, 2017 would remain un-changed.
  • It may be recalled that the State Election Commission had prescribed the election expenditure limit for contesting candidates for the member of Municipal Corporations vide its notification dated May 18, 2017.
  • Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994,  has been amended  by the Government according to which Mayor in the state will be chosen through the direct election by the electors of all wards of the concerned Municipal Corporation.
  • Chandigarh, November 14- Committed to provide the benefit of over 400 Government to Citizen (G2C) schemes and services of 35 departments online to the citizens at district, sub division and tehsil level in a transparent and time bound manner, the Haryana Government has decided to launch 34 new Antyodaya Kendra, SARAL Kendra and Antyodaya Saral Kendra on the occasion of Good Governance Day on December 25, 2018.
  • A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of Antyodaya SARAL platform held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today. Ministers, Chairman of Boards and Corporations and MLAs were also present in the meeting.
  • With the launch of these centres, the total number of Antyodaya Kendra, SARAL Kendra and Antyodaya Saral Kendra would increase to 115. As many as 81 such centres are already functional in the State. The  Antyodaya Kendra at the district level provides all the schemes and Saral Kendras provides all the services. The Antyodaya SARAL Kendra established at Sub-Division and Tehsil level provides for the delivery of both schemes and services.                   
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that to realise the vision of Minimum Government Maximum Governance as envisaged by Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, the Haryana Government had started e-registration in the State on December 25, 2014. He directed to make all necessary arrangements of infrastructure and staff in the 34 new centres well before their launching.
  • The Chief Minister said that a State level function would be organised for the launch of these Kendras whereas MLAs, Chairman and members of Zila Parishads and Panchayat Samitis would remain present at the Kendras in their respective areas.
  • He asked the MLAs and Ministers to personally visit already functional 81 centres in their respective areas to review their functioning and apprise the people about these centres so that people at the grass root level could avail the benefit of various government schemes and services online. He said that besides the government staff and prominent citizens of the area, Garvhit volunteers should also be roped in this work to reach maximum beneficiaries.
  • The Chief Minister appreciated NIC Haryana and all the 35 departments for creating the Antyodaya SARAL Portal in record 15 months. He has also appreciated the performance of Kurukshetra, Mahendergarh, Jhajjar and Charkhi Dadri district for a good service delivery score. He has also instructed district administration to improve the service delivery in Faridabad.
  • It was informed that the Chief Minister has inaugurated the Antyodaya Kendra for seven districts namely Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Faridabad, Yamunanagar, Gurugram, Jind and Karnal. Seven departments in these districts namely Social Justice and Empowerment, Public Health and Engineering, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Public Relations, Housing and Sainik and Ardhasainik Welfare have already stopped entertaining hard copies of application for availing the benefit of government schemes and services. Efforts are being ensure that department walk-in is  completely stopped in all departments in each district within two months.
  • It was informed that a toll free Antyodaya SARAL helpline number (1800-2000-023) has been started to address the queries and complaints of applicants regarding the schemes and services. More than 40,000 calls have so been answered on this helpline number since July 2018. Apart from this, help desk have been set up at all 81 centres to assist the citizens regarding the eligibility for schemes and services, documentation and processing. SMS alert are also being sent to the applicants regarding the status of their applications.
  • It was also highlighted that Haryana is the first state to carry out transformation in citizen service delivery at this scale and the project has also won multiple awards till now.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 14– United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has appreciated the efforts of the Haryana government to align its budget with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), thereby setting an excellent example for other states to mirror the Haryana model of SDGs implementation.
  • A high-level delegation from the UNDP visited the Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu and congratulated him for prioritizing SDG implementation in the state and commended all the departments for being rigorously involved in formation of the Haryana Vision 2030 document.
  • The delegation members comprised of Mr Jakob J. Simonsen, a Danish national and a retired senior executive of the UNDP who served as a senior adviser for the UNDP Regional Bureau of Asia and Pacific, Mr Bhagwati Prasad Pandey, an IAS officer of 1983 of Uttarakhand Cadre, Mr Claudio Providas from Uruguay, who is the UNDP Country Director to Timor-Leste, Dr Rakesh Kumar, Additional Country Director UNDP, India and an IAS officer of 1992 of UP/UD cadre and Ms Ratna Viswanathan, Private Sector Expert, UNDP.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 14: In Haryana, more than 65.28 lakh metric tonnes (MTs) of Paddy has so far arrived in the mandis of which government procuring agencies have procured over 57.31 lakh metric tonnes and over 7.97 lakh metric tonnes have been purchased by millers and dealers.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that more than 31.87 lakh MT of paddy have been purchased by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 17.50 lakh MT by Hafed, over 7.75 lakh MT by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 17,745 MT by the Food Corporation of India.
  • Giving details of arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that out of the total arrival, the maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in Karnal which is over 14.81 lakh MT followed by Kurukshetra over 11.25 lakh MT. Similarly, over 7.57 lakh MT has arrived in mandis of Ambala, over 7.61 lakh MT paddy in Kaithal, over 7.77 lakh MT in Fatehabad, over 6.23 lakh MT in Yamunanagar, over 2.86 lakh MT in Jind, over 2.08 lakh MT in Sirsa, over 1.49 lakh MT in Panipat, over 1.44 lakh MT in Panchkula, 88,211 MT in Hisar, 43,420 MT in Sonepat, 39,793 MT in Faridabad, 18,711 MT in Jhajjar, 10,180 MT in Palwal, 8,718 MT in Mewat and 3,717 MT in Rohtak.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 14– Haryana Police have registered 269 cases and arrested 439 people under NDPS Act  in Sirsa alone under a special drive against drug peddlers during past six and half months period. Besides, large quantity of narcotics including 4.542 kg heroin, 16.437 kg opium, 28.730 kg ganja, over 2221 kg chura post and doda post and around 3.5 lakh restricted pills, injections and capsules were seized from the possession of arrested accused during this period.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that following the directives of Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu, a crackdown on drug-peddlers was being conducted on daily basis in the district especially in the bordering areas with Rajasthan and Punjab. People of the district also supplementing the efforts of the police, as a result of which the Marathon (Run for Unity) held on October 31 in the district has been very successful.
  • With the active support of people in Prabal Prahar and Marathon, he said that Police in Sirsa has now planned to connect the youth of the district with sports. In this series, Sirsa Olympics is being organized to give a message to stay away from social evil like drug-addiction, as well as to sensitize youth towards education, sports and other social works. Under this, various sports events would be organized in Police Line, Sirsa from November 25 to 27.
  • Lauding the efforts of district Superintendent of Police, Mr Hamid Akhtar and his entire team for freeing the district of drug menace, Mr Sandhu exhorted the people to come forward fearlessly, and share information against the sale, consumption and use of narcotics in the state so as to help the police to completely curb it from the society. Apart from taking stern action against drug peddlers, Police is also making aware the general public about the ill effects of drug addiction.
