  • Chandigarh, Nov 16 – The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi would also lay the foundation stone of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, village Dudhola, Palwal from village Sultanpur in district Gurugram on November 19, 2018. The live telecast of this programme would be shown at University site in Dudhola. A sum of over Rs 1,000 crore would be spent on establishing this University.
  • Vice-Chancellor of the University, Mr. Raj Nehru said that earlier the University was named as Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University and now renamed as Shri Vishwakarma Skill University. He said that the university campus would be developed over 82.7 acres. The tenders amounting to Rs 389.24 crore have been floated for construction of university building. The construction work would be carried out in three phases and there is a plan to complete the first phase by 2020.
  • According to the Vice-Chancellor, there is a plan to impart GST training to 1,000 youth. He said that under pilot project, 139 youth have so far been imparted training in Hisar, Gurugram, Rohtak, Karnal and Sirsa. Apart from this, the University has imparted entrepreneurship training to 68 students whereas training of German language was imparted to 30 students. The University has signed MoUs with 21 industries for training of different courses. In district Gurugram, youth have been imparted training in cyber security, network security and application security. As per the need of hour, training in communication and life skill has so far been imparted to 1072 youth of Gurugram, Faridabad, Dharuhera, Ballabhgarh and Palwal in 2018. Under Saksham Certification Programme, training in Communication Skill and Personality Development has so far been imparted to 32 youth. Also, stipend amounting up to Rs 10,000 was being given to students getting training in the university, he added.
  • There is a plan to establish administrative block, auditorium and convention centre, cafeteria, centre of excellence, teaching and non-teaching residential area, separate hostels for boys and girls, shopping centre, health centre, community centre, stadium, gymnasium, swimming pool, sports and recreational facility, feeder school and common facility in proposed campus of the University.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 16: Haryana would organize Naturopathy Day (Prakritik Chikitsa Diwas) in all the districts and Ayurvedic institutes across the State on November 18.
  • While revealing this, Haryana Health and AYUSH Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that it would make the people of the State aware about naturopathy treatments beside providing knowledge about  healthy diet.
  • AYUSH Minister said that the main aim to organize this day is to emphasise on ‘food  itself is Medicine’. He said that our  food habits can itself provide treatment.  For organising this day, the State Government has provided exclusive budget  for  district level.
  • Vice Chancellor of Shri Krishna Ayush University Kurukshetra, Dr Baldev Kumar said that Naturopathy Day would also be celebrated at University level for which officers are deputed accordingly. He said that all the concerned institutes and colleges of Ayurveda under Shri Krishna Ayush University have also been directed to organize this day.
  • Chandigarh, November 16 – In Haryana, many steps are being taken to provide the people of district Nuh with all healthcare and educational benefits.
  • This was informed in a meeting held with officers under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr D.S. Dhesi regarding the development of District Nuh, here today. It may be recalled that Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has resolved to speed up the development of 115 most backward districts of the country, which included only one district of Haryana, district Nuh.
  • Mr Dhesi today directed the concerned officers of district Nuh to review all the schemes being implemented in the district every month. Besides expeditiously  filling of vacant posts of all departments in the district, he also asked to take help of Self Help Groups for ensuring healthcare and educational services to all people.
  • During the meeting, discussions were held on minimum transfers of employees and officers posted at the district, rationalization of posts of teachers, outsourcing of services of the Diagnostic lab. Discussions were also held on to provide cycles to students of class VI, IX and XI to increase the number of students, one year service in district Nuh for the newly appointed Agriculture officers and bus service to the students of ITI and Polytechnic.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 16 – Haryana Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu has expressed grief over the sad demise of Sub-Inspector, Mr Ranbir Singh, who lost his life in an unfortunate incident, happened in Rewari district.
  • In a condolence message issued here today, Mr Sandhu described it a major loss to the Police Department and added that Mr Ranbir would be long remembered for his bravery and services to the Police department. Praying for peace to the departed soul, he along with entire Police Department empathized with the bereaved family and wished them strength to bear this irreparable loss.
  • The DGP also said that Police would provide all kind of facilities under the welfare schemes of the Department to the next-of-kin of the deceased.  Apart from special ex-gratia grant of Rs 30 lakh under government policy, another financial assistance of Rs 30 lakh would also be given under a special agreement of accidental death insurance cover. In addition, free education up to XII standards would be offered to the wards of the deceased employee in Police Public School.
  • The DGP also directed the district SP to submit challan in the Court as early as possible so that severe punishment could be given to the accused.
  • On getting information regarding murder accused Naresh, Incharge of Dharuhera CIA, Mr Ranbir Singh along with his team immediately rushed near Rajasthan Border in Rewari. The accused fired gun-shot, when Sub-Inspector moved ahead to arrest him. However, Police has arrested the accused Naresh, who shot at the cop.
  • It may be mentioned here that accused Naresh had killed a hotel owner about two weeks ago on Delhi-Jaipur Highway and was also wanted in other murder and attempt to murder cases
  • Chandigarh, Nov 16– The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway at village Sultanpur in district Gurugram on November 19, 2018. A sum of Rs 6,400 crore has been spent on the expressway project and 3,846 acre of land was acquired at a cost of Rs 2,788 crore.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that under this project, the KMP Expressway was to be made four-lane, but it remained incomplete. Keeping in view the significance of this project, the present State Government has got this project resumed and made it six-lane.
  • He said that the length of the stretch from Kundli to Manesar is 83.320 km. This stretch would have four RoB, 14 major/minor bridges, 56 underpass/agricultural vehicular underpass, seven intersections and seven toll plazas. The width of the median at this stretch has been kept at 8 m. Similarly, the Manesar Palwal stretch is 52.330 km long and it has 32 underpass/agricultural vehicular underpass, three intersections and four toll plazas. The toll collection on the stretch from Manesar to Palwal has started on July 15, 2018. The design speed of this expressway is 120 kmph for light vehicles and 100 kmph for heavy vehicles.
  • The objective of this expressway is to provide high speed link of Northern Haryana with Southern Districts and provide uninterrupted high-speed link for traffic, especially Commercial traffic, from Haryana to neighbouring States. It would also decongest the road traffic from Delhi and thereby reduce pollution.
  • He said that two rows of shrubs will be planted in the median. Apart from this, two rows, on each side, of tress like neem, arjun, and sheesham would be planted near extreme end of row. He said that four sites earmarked for Wayside Amenities. Apart from this, drip irrigation system would be adopted for median plantation to conserve and save water. Fountains, historical and cultural monuments have been made at various locations to improve the aesthetic look of the expressway.
  • The spokesman said that highway lighting along the 83 km stretch from Kundli to Manesar has been made for safety of the road users during night time. A world class Art and Culture Gallery has been set up to depict the project development history through 3D Holographic models. He said that one ambulance, one crane and one police patrolling vehicle with a helpline number have been stationed in every 20km for speedy response in case of accidents or emergencies.
  • Chandigarh, Nov 16 – The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Ballabhgarh Metro at village Sultanpur in district Gurugram on November 19, 2018. Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the 3.2 km long Escorts Mujesar – Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) section of the Kashmere Gate – Escorts Mujesar corridor also known as the Violet Line is now ready for passenger operations. After the opening of this extension, the entire Kashmere Gate – Raja Nahar Singh Metro corridor will become 46.6 kilometres long.
  • He said that currently, 25.8 km of Metro lines are operational across Haryana. After the opening of this section, the total length of Metro kilometres in Haryana will become 29 kilometres. All trains running on this section are manufactured in India.
  • The Escorts Mujesar – Raja Nahar Sigh (Ballabhgarh) section will be extremely crucial from the point of view of connectivity for the city of Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, South-East Delhi and Central Delhi areas. Ballabhgarh is an upcoming urban settlement which is an industrial city. Large numbers of people travel every day for their professional requirements from Ballabhgarh to Delhi and vice-versa. This corridor will be of help to these people, he added.    
  • The spokesman said the Raja Nahar Singh Station in Ballabhgarh is situated adjacent to Ballabhgarh Interstate Bus Terminal and Ballabhgarh Railway Station. This station is five storey building having two commercial floors above track level. This station is having parking on the other site of the National Highway–2 which will be directly connected to the station via a Foot Over Bridge. The Sant Surdas (Sihi) Station is situated near National Council for Cement and Building Material Institute, he added.
  • Chandigarh November 16: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved  the inclusion of “Core Areas” also for registration of 4th floor as independent dwelling unit on the already approved conditions and approval of maximum permissible height of 16.5 meters by carrying out amendment in the Haryana Building Code-2017.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that as per the Chief Minister’s announcement, the matter regarding registration of 4th floor to be allowed as separate dwelling unit in case of residential plot has already been approved.
  • He said that for increase in the maximum permissible height, the figures 15 meters would be substituted with 16.5 meters in the Haryana Building Code-2017 with the condition that the same would be permitted subject to fire NOC and certificate of conformity to rules and structural safety.
  • He said that the draft of amendments in the building code would be hosted on the website of Town and Country Planning Department and other concerned departments that is Haryana Shehari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC), Public Works (Building and Roads) and Architecture for inviting objections and suggestions from the public before publication of final amendment in the building code.
  • Chandigarh November 16: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 5.15 crore for the widening and strengthening of ten roads in Indri, district Karnal.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department said that while Rs 18.41 lakh would be spent on the widening and strengthening of Ramgarh road, Rs 37.92 lakh would be spent on road from Raithkhana to Bir Raithkhana.
  • He said that similarly, Rs 13.30 lakh would be spent on the widening and strengthening of main mati road, Rs 88.37 lakh on Janesron road, Rs 19.04 lakh on butan kheri road, Rs 113.91 lakh on road from Sangoha to Kamalpur Roran, Rs 49.29 lakh on Panjokhera road, Rs 55.92 lakh on chand samand road, Rs 51.08 lakh on road from Biana to Bir Majri and Rs 68.14 on Dhanaura to Kalra road.
