  • Chandigarh November 26– On the occasion of Constitution Day, Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya today paid tributes to Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India.
  • A seminar ‘Revisiting Babasaheb Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Constitution Maker and Nation Builder’ was organised to mark the occasion of Constitution Day, at Raj Bhavan today.
  • The Governor described the Indian Constitution as the best Constitution of the world and urged all to follow the ideals and values as enshrined in the Constitution. He said that under the abled leadership of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, the country has been continuously progressing.  The day November 26 is celebrated to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of Ambedkar.

  • Chandigarh, Nov 26 – With a view to promote adventure tourism in the state, the Haryana Government has initiated skydiving aero sports at Bachhod Airstrip, Narnaul.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Civil Aviation Department said that Narnaul Aerodrome has the potential to be developed as an ideal adventure tourism destination and will put India on the world map for extreme adventure sports.
  • He said that Pioneer Flying Academy Private Limited has been authorized by the Department to conduct skydiving activities at Bachhod aerodrome situated off Delhi-Jaipur highway about 153 kms from Delhi. The Pioneer Flying Academy would offer tandem skydiving and static line jumps using Cessna 172 aircraft.
  • The spokesman said that skydiving is the sport of jumping from an aircraft and performing acrobatic manoeuvres in the air under free fail before landing with the help of a parachute. Tandem skydiving is the easiest and best way for the first time skydiver to experience free fall wherein the skydiver is securely harnessed to the tandem instructor throughout the course of the jump from free fall to parachuting to a safe landing. He said that static-line jump is a form of solo skydiving where after two days of training and passing an exam, students can attempt skydiving.
  • Chandigarh November 26 – Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr Anil Vij today congratulated the boy's team of Haryana for winning semi-finals of Dr. B.C. Roy National Football Championship (under-17) being held at Rajkot in Gujarat.  
  • Mr Vij said that the first time in the last ten years, the Haryana team has entered the finals of this national championship and the state has high hopes from them. This championship is being organised by All India Football Federation, in which the team played under the banner of Haryana Football Association.
  • The General Secretary, Haryana Football Association, Mr Lalit Chaudhry said that the team won the semi-finals and entered the finals by registering a victory 2-0, in which Ganesh and Akash scored one each goal.
  • Chandigarh, November 26– Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Constitution Day and urged them to follow the ideals and values as enshrined in the Constitution.  The Constitution Day is celebrated on November 26 every year since 2015 to commemorate the adoption of constitution on November 26, 1949.
  • Paying tributes to the principal architect of the Constitution, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, he said that Baba Saheb dedicated his entire life to eradicate social inequality and establish a social order to give equal opportunities to all including the disadvantaged group. The day should be marked to create the importance of the constitution and to spread unparalleled vision of Dr Ambedkar, he added.
  • Citing Baba Saheb’s quote, ‘Life should be great rather than long’, he said that noble deeds and empathy for human beings leads to a life lived to the fullest.
  • Mr Manohar Lal said that on Constitution Day, we should also salute the great women and men who gave the country a Constitution, which signifies the sovereignty of the people.
  • Chandigarh, Nov 26 – The officers and officials of Haryana Police today took the pledge on the occasion of Constitution Day that commemorates the day the Constitution was adopted in 1949. In a function at Police headquarters, Director General of Police, Headquarters, Mr K.K. Mishra administered the pledge to all police officers, officials and other staff.
  • It was on November 26, 1949 that our Constitution was adopted, enacted and given to the Nation.
  • Among others present on this occasion included DGP Crime, Mr P.K. Agrawal, ADGP (Law and Order), Mohd. Akil, ADGP Crime Against Women, Mr Ajay Singhal, ADGP Operations, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Modernization, Mr H.S. Doon, SP CAW, Ms Manisha Chowdhary, SP CID Mr Abhishek Jorwal, DSP (Law and Order) Mrs. Mamta Sodha and other officers and officials posted at police headquarters.
  • Chandigarh November 26 – Haryana Government has posted Rajeev Ranjan (IAS), Commissioner, Hisar Division, Hisar as Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, relieving Ankur Gupta of the said charge, with immediate effect.
  • Chandigarh, Nov 26 – An 11-year-old boy, who went missing for last two months from Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh, was reunited with his family members in Ladwa, Kurukshetra by a team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Haryana Police Crime Branch.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that AHTU team had completed the required formalities and the boy was handed over to the father by Child Welfare Committee, Kurukshetra. The missing boy has been staying in Bal Ashram, Ladwa for past about one and half months.
  • A team of AHTU comprising Sub-Inspector Mukesh Rani, Head Constable Karamchand and lady constable Kavita had got information that an 11-year-old boy has been staying for the past one and a half month at Bal Ashram, Ladwa. As soon as team members approached the child, he did not cooperate at first, but when repeatedly talked, the child informed about his address as village Bhareypur district Farrukhabad in Uttarpradesh. After getting a clue about the address, a detailed investigation was made with the assistance of Farrukhabad police and after that family of the child was contacted.
  •  In this way team of AHTU helped an 11-year-old boy of Uttar Pradesh reunite with his family members.
