  • Chandigarh, Nov 27 – The International Gita Mahotsav 2018 to be organised at Kurukshetra from December 7 to 23, 2018 would witness the performances of Lagaan movie fame actress, Ms. Gracy Singh and Sufi Singer, Mr. Satinder Sartaj. Apart from this, internationally acclaimed singer Hemant Brijwasi would also perform during the Mahotsav.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that for International Gita Mahotsav this year, Mauritius would be partner country and Gujarat would be partner state. He said that Gita Mahotsav would also be organised at Mauritius in February 2019.
  • He said that about 200 famous painters from across the country would reach Kurukshetra to draw beautiful paintings on the walls of Kurukshetra on the theme of Mahabharata under Paint the Wall Competition. He said that Indian and foreign artists would give performances in cultural programmes to be organised every day evening. Apart from these, artists from Mauritius, Indonesia, Iran, Turkmenistan and Russia would also give cultural performances.
  • The spokesman said that Ambassadors of more than 10 countries have been invited for International Gita Mahotsav 2018. He said that a ‘Kavi Sammelan’ would also be organised on this occasion for which internationally acclaimed poets namely Mr. Hari Om Panwar, Mr. Gajendra Solanki and others have been invited.
  • Chandigarh November 27– Haryana Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma met with Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Dr Rajeev Bindal, who called upon him, here today.
  • Dr Bindal has been elected MLA for five consecutive terms and was Health and Family Welfare Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government in 2007.
  • The Education Minister welcomed Dr Bindal and presented him the booklet of four-year achievements of State government and a folder of schemes being run.
  • Mr Sharma informed him about development works carried out by the State Government in the last four years in the field of sports, education and industries, apart from agriculture.
  • Chandigarh November 27– Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani has declared the results of the written examination conducted for recruitment of vacant posts on contract basis in Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Lab School at Board’s campus, Bhiwani on October 28, 2018.   • The concerned candidates should be present by 9 am on the prescribed date and place with their original documents and certificates for verification and later they can appear for class presentation and interview. No traveling allowance would be given to any candidate. After this, no candidate would be provided any other opportunity of an interview.
  • Chandigarh, Nov 27 – With a view to providing better residential facilities to the family members of police personnel, Haryana Police Housing Corporation is constructing 3,060 houses of various categories in different Police Lines across the state.
  • While stating this here today, Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu said that government had sanctioned a sum of Rs 550 crore through Housing and Urban Development Corporation scheme to undertake the construction work of the houses which were being built in 20 districts in the state.
  • Divulging the details about houses, Mr Sandhu said that 240 houses of type-I, 2,160 of type-II, 588 of type-III and 72 of type-IV were being built to ensure better living condition for the members of police force. He said that these houses were being constructed in various districts of the State. Out of the total, about 1,100 houses have already been completed and remaining is under construction at different levels.
  • He said that housing satisfaction level of Police Department has been increased to 18 per cent. Apart from 120 police stations, the Corporation had built 14 police posts, 17 Mitr Kaksh, Police training complexes, a number of police lines and other office buildings in the state, he added.
  • Chandigarh, Nov 27 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij today conducted surprise inspection at MLA Hostel Dispensary, here and ordered suspension of three employees in view of the irregularities found there. 
  • During the inspection, Pharmacist Savita, Physiotherapist Deepmala and Dietician Aparna were suspended with immediate effect.
