  • Chandigarh, Dec 5 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that to detect various diseases in people and to find out their relevant factors, screening of people would be carried out across the state and free treatment facility would be provided to them.
  • Mr. Vij said that for cancer treatment, third Cancer Care Centre was being established in Ambala which would have best cancer treatment facility. He said that cancer patients of the state would not face any inconvenience in this centre.
  • The Health Minister said that as per World Health Organisation, there should be one doctor over 1,000 persons whereas in our country, there is one doctor over 1,800 persons. Therefore, to meet the shortage of doctors in the state, recruitment of 995 doctors have been done. Apart from this, it has been made compulsory that doctors studying MBBS in medical colleges of Haryana would have to serve within the state. A notification in this regard would soon be issued, he added.
  • Chandigarh, December 5: Project Director, Chief Minister's Good Governance Associates (CMGGA) Programme, Dr Rakesh Gupta urged the people of Haryana to avail the benefits of Government schemes through Antyodaya Saral Kendras instead of visiting different departments as in these centers a citizen can avail more than 425 schemes and services of 35 different departments online under one roof. He also directed the officers of various departments to guide the people about Antyodaya Saral Kendras.
  • Dr Rakesh Gupta said this while presiding over the review meeting of  CMGGA with the Deputy Commissioner and senior officers of Gurugram  circle today.  He also reviewed the progress of various schemes in Gurugram Circle including implementation of PC-PNDT Act and MPT act Swachh Sarvekshan Urban, HARPATH App., Antyodaya Saral Kendras, renovation of Shivdhams, making the roads free from stray cattles and Saksham Haryana (Education)etc.
  • Dr Gupta gave necessary directions to the concerned officers regarding all the schemes and services being provided at Antyodaya Saral Kendras. He directed them to provide benefits of these schemes to maximum people so as to avoid corruption by brokers. He also inspected the Antyodaya Saral Kendras and Antyodaya Bhawans, being run in Gurugram and got detailed information about the delivery of schemes to the people effective and timely.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 5 – Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya said that  blood cannot be produced by any other means except donation, hence  volunteer  donors should come forward  to make blood available to persons in need of blood.
  • The Governor was speaking after inaugurating Blood Donation Camp organised by Shri Ram Nath Educational and Welfare Society, at Fatehabad today. The Blood Donation Camp was dedicated to brave soldiers of Indian Army and more than 1,100 youth donated blood in the camp.
  • He said that donating blood does not cause any kind of weakness in human body. He said that science has made progress in every sphere, but still blood cannot be made in any laboratory. “We all should donate blood so that the lives of needy persons could be saved”, he added.
  • Appreciating the working of the State Government, the Governor said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has implemented the ambitious schemes and policies of the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi at war footing which is why Haryana is progressing in every sector.
  • Rajya Sabha MP and Retired Lieutenant General, Dr. D.P. Vats and State BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala also spoke on this occasion.
  • Chandigarh, December 5: Haryana Minister of State for Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi said that for the welfare of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati, the present Government has not only set up Haryana Vimukt Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board but will also constitute a Vimukt Ghumantu Jati  Vitt  Evam Vikas Nigam soon.
  • Mr Bedi revealed this while he was presiding over the review meeting of Haryana Vimukt Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board here today.          
  • Mr Bedi said that as per the vision of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi to provide housing for all by 2022 (Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna), applications have been invited from the people of these tribes so as to enable them to avail the benefits of housing.  Under this, as many as 5913 application have been received so far.
  • It was apprised during the meeting that to encourage the children of these tribes for higher education and other competitive examinations,  hostels would be set up in two districts. Land for these hostels has already been allocated. By that time, these hostels would be made operational from the rented building.
  • Among those present in the meeting included Chairman, Haryana Vimukt Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board, Dr Balwan Singh, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr Rajiv Jain, Principal Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department, Mrs Neerja Sekhar, Managing Director, Haryana Scheduled Castes Development Corporation, Mr Praveen Kumar besides other senior officers.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 5 – The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 2.03 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 29.39 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced a maximum of 37,450 quintals of sugar by crushing 5.81 lakh quintals of sugarcane. The Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced 30,500 quintals of sugar by crushing 4.58 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, which has produced 30,940 quintals of sugar by crushing 4.03 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 22,250 quintals of sugar by crushing 3.83 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced 26,175 quintals of sugar by crushing 3.33 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal has produced 23,250 quintals of sugar by crushing 3.25 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 18,025 quintals of sugar by crushing 2.41 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 14,475 quintals of sugar by crushing 1.90 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced 25,100 quintals of sugar by crushing 4.05 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that so far, average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 8.91 per cent.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 5 – In a major break-through, a team of Special Task Force (STF), Gurugram arrested a notorious criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, from near Kamla Nehru Park, Sohna Chowk of Gurugram town.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Police said that arrested accused has been identified as Ravinder alias Rabbo, a resident of Rohta Patti, Hodal, district Palwal. A pistol and two live cartridges were also recovered from his possession.
  • He was involved in several cases of crime including attempt to murder, theft, obstructing public servant in discharge of duty, rioting and criminal intimidation. He was also declared a proclaimed offender in a case registered at Sadar Police Station, Palwal.
  • Meanwhile, Director General of Police, Mr B. S. Sandhu appreciated DIG STF, Sateesh Balan and his team for intensifying efforts to crackdown on criminals in the state.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 5 – More than 71.07 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of Paddy has so far arrived in the mandis of Haryana, of which the government agencies have procured over 58.04 lakh metric tonnes and over 13.02 lakh metric tonnes was purchased by millers and dealers.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that more than 32.25 lakh MT of paddy have been purchased by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 17.75 lakh MT by Hafed, over 7.85 lakh MT by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 17,744 MT by the Food Corporation of India.
  • Giving details of arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that out of the total arrival, the maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in Karnal which is over 15.21 lakh MT followed by Kurukshetra over 11.63 lakh MT. Similarly, over 8.23 lakh MT paddy has arrived in mandis of Kaithal, over 7.91 lakh MT in Fatehabad, over 7.74 lakh MT in Ambala, over 6.33 lakh MT in Yamunanagar, over 4.54 lakh MT in Jind, over 2.89 lakh MT in Sirsa, over 2.11 lakh MT each in Panipat, over 1.44 lakh MT in Panchkula, over 1.42 lakh MT in Hisar, 48,093  MT in Faridabad, 43,420  MT in Sonipat, 32,766 MT in Jhajjar, 11,657 MT in Rohtak, 10,180 MT in Palwal and 9,800  MT in Mewat.
