- Chandigarh, Jan 2 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that Hindi is the official language of North Indian states, but in order to encourage it, the government departments should do maximum correspondence in Hindi language so that general public would easily get information.
- Mr. Manohar Lal said that where correspondence by government departments is carried out with court and other non-Hindi speaking states, English should be used alongwith Hindi language.
- He said that as far as correspondence in Hindi language in government departments of Haryana is concerned, the General Administration branch of Chief Secretary Office used to issue circulars to the Administrative Secretaries from time to time. He said that the Chief Secretary Office has issued one such circular yesterday. Not only this, the Chief Secretary Office had also issued such circulars in 1993, 1999, 2006 and 2016.
- Chandigarh, Jan 2 – Taking further the vision of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi of providing housing facility to all by 2022, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal handed over the final possession certificate of flats to the beneficiaries of affordable Housing Scheme under Defence and Paramilitary category floated by Haryana Housing Board in Sector 31, Panchkula, here today.
- Addressing the beneficiaries, the Chief Minister said that they had served the nation with dedication. It is the duty of every citizen of the country to respect their dedication. The Chief Minister saluted the service of the servicemen.
- Speaking on the occasion, Housing Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar said that this is first scheme of the country under which flats have been provided to defence personnel at one place. After constitution of Housing Board, 90,000 flats have been constructed by the Board of which 90 per cent are for people belonging to Economically Weaker Sections. He said that such scheme was being implemented for defence personnel in Jhajjar and Faridabad.
- Giving details of the scheme, Chairman, Haryana Housing Board, Mr. Jawahar Yadav informed the Chief Minister that the Board would construct total 711 flats for defence personnel. In the first phase, final possession certificate have been distributed of 279 flats of which the Chief Minister distributed certificates to 22 beneficiaries today. The cost of flats has been decided at Rs 3400 per square feet and the flats have been handed over to beneficiaries in decided time period of 30 months. In the second phase, construction work of 432 flats was under progress which would cost about Rs 85 crore. These flats would have facilities such as lifts, power backup, 24 hour water supply and parking, he added.
- Mr. Yadav said that in near future, housing project would be started for defence personnel at Rohtak, Gurugram, Rewari, Mahendragah and Charkhi Dadri.
- Others present on the occasion included Principal Secretary, Haryana Housing Board, Mr. Shrikant Walgad, Chief Administrator, Mr. Satpal Sharma, Chief Engineer, Mr. Virender Singh Yadav and other senior officers of the Department.
- Chandigarh, Jan 2 – All works of Swachh Bharat Mission in Haryana would now be undertaken in supervision of Zila Parishads.
- This was informed in the 3rd meeting of Executive Committee of Haryana State Swachh Bharat Mission Society held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, here today.
- Mr. Dhesi directed the Development and Panchayats Department and Haryana Pond and Waste Water Management Authority to work together for liquid waste management in rural areas.
- It was decided in the meeting to approve funds under Swachh Bharat Mission for construction of toilets in Anganwadi Centre in rural and urban areas of Haryana.
- It was informed that Haryana had bagged first position in Swachh Survekshan Grameen – 2018. Apart from this, the best six districts of the country in terms of sanitation included three districts of Haryana namely Gurugram, Karnal and Rewari.
- The Chief Secretary was apprised that all rural areas in the state have been made Open Defecation Free (ODF) by June 2017. Similarly, all urban areas in the state have been made ODF by October 2017. A target has been set to establish solid and liquid waste management plants in all villages of the state in 2019.
- Under the urban solid waste management schemes, all urban local bodies of the state have been divided into 14 clusters. Emphases are being laid on setting up Waste to Energy Plants in the state.
- Others present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Mr. P.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, T.V.S.N. Prasad, Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Mr. Raja Sekhar Vundru, Principal Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department, Mr. A.K. Singh and other senior officers.
- Chandigarh, January 2: With a view to provide information related to facilities being provided through Aadhar Card and to resolve problems related to updating the Aadhar profile or enrolment, the Haryana Government has launched “Aadhar-Rath” IEC Awareness Van. This Aadhar Rath would disseminate information related to Aadhar from January 2 to February 10 across all the villages and districts of the State.
- Additional Chief Secretary, Home Mr S.S. Prasad gave this information after flagging off the “Aadhar Rath” from Haryana Civil Secretariat premises today.
- Mr Prasad said that concerning Aadhar Card registration under Unique Identification Authority of India(UIDAI), Haryana is the leading State in the country. Similarly, in birth registrations, Haryana is the foremost State. He said that this “Aadhar Rath” would make people aware about the Aadhar related information and other facilities being provided by UIDAI during these 40 days (January 2 to February 10) in the State.
- He said that Introduction of Aadhar Card has minimized corruption to a large extent. Mentioning the example of Public Distribution System being linked with Aadhar, he said that now the Ration is being distributed to needy beneficiaries only without any confusion.
- It is worth mentioning that Haryana is pioneer in implementing the Aadhaar enrolment of new born Children in the Hospitals itself through Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration (ALBR) programme and ranks 1st in the country in terms of Aadhaar Saturation of Children upto 5 years of age. Aadhaar has been issued to 25.69 lakh children. For ensuring maximum enrolment of children more than 800 tablets have been already issued and are working in Government and Private hospitals under the control of Director General Health Services, Haryana who has been appointed as Registrar by UIDAI.
- Haryana State has already taken steps to enroll the students and Children in the age group of 5 to 18 years and 500 kits have been procured and installed in various schools for this purpose.
- All the District IT Societies (DITS) in the State of Haryana are working as Enrolment Agencies under the State Registrar, Department of Electronics and IT, Haryana the state has already deployed more than 400 kits to facilitate the residents. All the District Headquarters and Tehsil are already covered and kits have been installed in Antyodaya Saral Kendras and Atal Sewa Kendras across all districts of Haryana. Apart from this as per the UIDAI policy, to facilitate the residents kits have been deployed in 350 bank branches and in more than 200 post offices across the State.
- Chandigarh, Jan 2 – Haryana State Haj Committee has invited applications for Haj-2019 from Haj pilgrims and Muslim employees, working on regular basis in different departments of the State Government, who are interested in going to Saudi Arabia as ‘Khadim-ul-Hujjaj’ of Haj pilgrims. Such employees would have to submit their forms alongwith No Objection Certificates (NOC) issued by their concerned Departments latest by January 14, 2019.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of the said State Haj Committee said that the applications should reach the office of Chief Executive Officer, Haryana State Haj Committee, Room No. 49A, 5th floor, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh. The applicants would have to send their forms alongwith copy of departmental ID card, copy of international passport, medical certificate issued by government hospital, copy of proof of year in which the applicant had already performed Haj or Umrah and copy of NOC issued by the concerned department.
- He said that instructions issued in this regard have been issued by Haj Committee India Mumbai and application form can be obtained from website www.hajcommittee.gov.in.
- He said that online applications have also been invited by Haj Committee India Mumbai for training of trainers and these should reach the office of Haryana State Haj Committee latest by January 10, 2019. Such interested persons who have already performed Haj and are fully conversant with English, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic languages and also posses computer knowledge, may apply for this training, he added.
- Chandigarh, January 2: The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal while taking cognizance on the death of animals due to foot and mouth disease during January to May last year in district Fatehabad and Sirsa and to compensate the loss of these livestock farmers, has accorded approval of compensation to the tune of Rs 68.71 lakh.
- While giving details, the Special Executive Officer to Chief Minister, Mr Amarjit Singh said that, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying through their report informed that 517 animals died in both these districts. During the visit of Chief Minister to districts Sirsa and Fatehabad in recent past, the local people apprised the Chief Minister about the death of such a large number of animals in their areas.
- Taking cognizance on this issue and considering it as natural calamity, the Chief Minister accorded approval of compensation from Chief Minister's Relief Fund, he added.
- Chandigarh January 2: Committed towards realizing state government’s vision of reviving the ancient Sarasvati river in the State and ensuring regular flow of fresh water in it, the Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board (HSHDB) which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today approved 11 major projects including the restoration of various heritage sites along the course of river Sarasvati.
- While presiding over the 4th meeting of Governing Body of Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board, Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal who is also the Chairman of the Board said that it is the priority of the State Government to ensure that fresh water flow in Sarasvati river and to ensure this, various steps are being taken.
- On this occasion, he also launched a mobile App developed by the Haryana Sarasvati Heritage Development Board. The information related to Sarasvati River including scientific evidences of its existence and other relevant studies have been made available on this App. He also approved the logo of the Sarasvati Heritage Development Board.
- The projects which were approved for the rejuvenation and development of Sarasvati river in the State included construction of somb sarasvati barrage and sarasvati reservoir, construction of adi badri dam and other development works in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana at adi badri in district Yamunanagar, sarasvati river rejuvenation from sarasvati reservoir to its outfall in river ghaggar, interlinking of markanda river and sarasvati river through kainthla supply channel, construction of waste water treatment plants for recycling of all waste water falling into sarasvati river, construction of RCC divide wall at saraswati tirath at saraswati nagar, construction of saraswati ghat at village bhaini and mangna in district Kurukshetra, construction of bridges on river saraswati at village ishargarh and beer pipli near pratapgarh district Kurukshetra for the convenience of people, development works for restoration of heritage places along the course of saraswati river including heritage site and construction or development of temples and ghats and linking of saraswati river heritage research institute with centre of excellence for research on saraswati river established at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
- The Board also approved the proposal for appointment of consultant to assess the techno-feasibility for water way/heritage development/pilgrimage tourism activities from pipli to jyotisar and at pehowa in district Kurukshetra. It also approved grant-in-aid of Rs 50 lakh annually for carrying out research activities at the centre of excellence at Kurukshetra University.
- It was informed in the meeting that the construction of somb sarasvati barrage and sarasvati reservoir would facilitate storage of 1000 hectare meters water in sarasvati reservoir which would fulfill the need of flow of water in sarasvati river to a large extent. Similarly, after the completion of construction of adi badri dam and other development works in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana at adi badri, the storage capacity of the proposed sarasvati reservoir at village Rampur Herian, Rampur Kambian and Chillaur in Haryana area would be increased from 100 hectare meters to 1475 hectare meters. This would enable to run Sarasvati River to run with a discharge of 200 cusecs in monsoon season. The NOC for interstate clearance from Himachal Pradesh Government has already been obtained in this regard.
- It was also informed that on the completion of interlinking of Markanda River and Saraswati River through kainthla supply channel, 3000 cusecs of flood water could be diverted from Markanda River to Sarasvati River from Jhansa head of Markand River. The work for the construction of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Kurukshetra and Saraswati Nagar is in progress and for the construction of STP at Bilaspur, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) would be finalized within ten days by the Public Health Engineering Department.
- The meeting was also informed that the HSHDB has identified the heritage sites which include various temples, ghats and other structures along the course of saraswati for their development and restoration.
- Earlier, Deputy Chairman of HSHDB Mr Prashant Bharadwaj presented water collected from 427 different rivers to Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal in a bottle. It may be recalled that Mr Manohar Lal alongwith Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr Nitin Gadkari had performed Maha Jalabhishek at Adi Badri in district Yamunangar recently.
