  • Chandigarh, Jan 8 – A review meeting for the celebrations of 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was held by the Executive Committee chaired by the Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, here today.
  • It was informed that mobile light and sound shows would be organized on the occasion of year long celebrations of 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The information regarding the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji would be disseminated among people through these shows in all districts of the State. Also, ‘Jan Jagran Rally’ would be organized which would pass through those areas where Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had visited. Apart from this, a mobile app has been prepared by the State Government which has detailed information about the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • It was also informed that seminars would be organized in universities and colleges on the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and their relevance in the present scenario by inviting intellectuals. Apart from this, seminars on the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji would be organized in schools besides organizing sports events and other functions. It was also informed that ‘Gagan Mein Thal Aarti’ would be started at a lake in the state which has sufficient water level. The matter related to the approval from the Central Government to facilitate pilgrims interested in visiting Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, was also reviewed in the meeting.
  • Discussions were held in the meeting on various issues such as compilation of 100 sayings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, including Punjabi language in primary schools, planting 550 trees in each village, launching Swachhta Abhiyan, preparing a booklet on places where Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had visited and a proposal to name a building the state after the name of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • Others present in the meeting included MLA, Assandh, Mr. Bakhshish Singh Virk, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, Mr. P.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Mrs. Dheera Khandelwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Mr. Alok Nigam, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Mr. Sameer Pal Srow and members of Executive Committee.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 8 – Haryana government has assigned the charge of DSP, Haryana Human Right Commission, Chandigarh to Mrs. Mamta Sodha, DSP (Law and Order), Police Headquarter, Haryana with immediate effect.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 8: Haryana Government has issued posting and transfer orders of two HCS officers with immediate effect.
  • Narhari Singh Banger, Additional Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), OSD, Kundli Manesar Palwal Authority, Managing Director, HSIIDC and Special Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission  has been given the additional charge of Managing Director, Haryana Financial Corporation.
  • Kulwant Singh Kalson, awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Inquiry officer, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 8 – A team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Haryana Police Crime Branch has reunited a boy with his family members. The boy was missing for the last five months from village Rasulpur, district Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that after completing the required formalities, the boy was handed over to the maternal grandparents. The missing boy has been staying in Child Care Institute, Ghaziabad for past about four months.
  • A team of AHTU headed by Sub-Inspector Mukesh Rani had contacted CCI Ghaziabad and requested the Institute operator to inform if any child from Haryana is staying in their institute.  On this, it was informed that a boy was staying in the institute. When quizzed, the boy disclosed his identity as Aasif of village Rasulpur. After getting clue, a detailed investigation was made with the assistance of Police in Rasulpur and Member Panchayat. Later on, it came to know that child is orphan and was brought up by his maternal grandparents.
  • n this way, AHTU team help the boy reunited with his family members with the directions of Child Welfare Committee.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 8 – Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi has directed senior officers of all Departments to timely utilize the departmental budget. Apart from this, he also directed them to do systematic management of funds being received from Central Government for centrally sponsored schemes.
  • Mr. Dhesi, who was presiding over meeting with all Administrative Secretaries, here today, also directed them to appoint Nodal Officers in each department for effective implementation of Litigation Management System designed for departments, corporations, boards and other state bodies to monitor the status of the cases related to them. He directed them to upload data in system of pending cases in courts by January 31.
  • It was informed that the scope of this LMS system included acquisition, assembly and storage of litigation data and updating and processing of case status. Apart from this, it would also look after integration and data acquisition from High Court database besides making available information on demand pertaining to court cases of all departments.
  • In the meeting, the Assessment Management Cell was also reviewed. This Cell is being used to get information pertaining to government land across the State so that it could be utilized for better purposes.
  • The Chief Secretary also directed to complete all entries under Parivartan Scheme and undertake works on Haryana Governance Reforms Authority.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 8: Haryana Government has promoted eight Assistants of Haryana Civil Secretariat as Deputy Superintendents with immediate effect.
  • Those promoted as Deputy Superintendents include Mewa Singh from Delay Checking Unit, Nirmal Kumari Sharma from Accounts Branch, Mohinder Singh from Health-III Branch, Nimmi Jain from B&R Works Branch, Rajiv Sindhu from Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Panchkula, Sangeeta Kaushal from Printing and Stationary Branch, Om Parkash from Office of Haryana Tourism Corporation Limited, Panchkula and Urmila Devi from F.A. Branch.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 8: The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 9.33 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 105.37 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 1.83 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.51 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 1.47 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 17.43 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced over 1.10 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.06 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over one lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 11.07 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Similarly, the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 88,500 quintals of sugar by crushing 11.15 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 70,575 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.55 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 62,875 quintals of sugar by crushing 6.81 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced 66,120 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.97 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat has produced 22,000 quintals of sugar by crushing 2.83 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced over 1.07 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.65 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that so far, the average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.33 per cent.
